Aww, everything ended well. I still find the first series more enjoyable, the ending and the movie included. Nonetheless, I'm glaaaaaad Ed and Winry got together. Also, it would've been better if Al's voice changed. Heck he sounds worse than Justin Bieber.

To me, this is the best anime EVER! I really enjoyed, it has a great psychological weight it sometimes got unfair but that's just how life goes, if things always go as we wanted, it wasnt so funny ;D

The thing is that Greed's death affected me too much -_-

Arakawa-sama if your watching this BRING GREED BACK ;_____; ONEGAI DESU ;_;

Man, I wish this was the start yet again and everyone could yet again relive the series form episode 1, gasping at the twists, cheering for characters and pairings, and shaking from atmospheric and awesome scenes.

Fai, totally with you! :D

Epic series. Man. I was a stream of tears.. Really touched and EdWin scene was seriously the best! :))

If a movie is out, it would probably be an OVA of little tids and bits. Background stories and flashbacks and memories of certain characters. That would be nice to watch, yeah. :)

Seriously gonna miss this.

I believe we have a bug in MAL's system. Updates on signatures of some users aren't changing. The ratings of shows haven't moved at least one bit. FMA:B is still rated 8.33 by 29900 users since yesterday. Not just this but also the other shows. Lol at HStoD 9.33 rated by 3 users xD.

Is this a coincidence , or is everything planned . . .

I'm posting the relation between the episodes aired on mbs-tbs and adult swim in the same week .

Episode 43 airs in the same week as episode 1 airs on AS . .(Ed recovers from an injury and is seen after two episodes , fma begins )
Episode 53 airs in the same week as episode 10 airs on AS . .(mustang-envy battle , and envy kills hughes)
Episode 57 airs in the same week as episode 14 airs on AS . .(bradley getting wounded , and revealing his true identity)
Episode 62 airs in the same week as episode 19 airs on AS . .(roy joins the battle , roy's flame rape of lust)
Episode 63 airs in the same week as episode 20 airs on AS . .(hoho dies , hoho is introduced)
Episode 64 airs in the same week as episode 21 airs on AS . . (the only two episodes to start off with a shot of central , mustang in hospital . Havoc gets his legs paralysed in 21 , regains them in 64)

interesting isn't it :)

Been discussed before. AS did the same with Code Geass and some other of their shows too.

Quick question: What was the tattoo on Hawkeye's back?

That was a secret behind performing Flame Alchemy.

Hawkeye's father was last flame alchemsit and Mustang was his disciple.

He documented the secrets behind flame alchemy on a tatoo on her back.

Her father died obviously, Mustang became the flame alchemist, Hawkeye asked him to burn her back so no one else can learn that horrible tool of destruction that is Flame Alchemy.

I think Ed should've gone to Xing to learn Rentanjutsu instead of Al. He should be able to use that because it harnesses the power of the Earth, right?

Anyway, i'm still deciding what to rate it, but i'm leaning towards 8. Now to rewatch the original series to get this out of my head.

He can't use Alchemy or Rentanjutsu even he studies as much as he wants. The moment he gave up his "truth" for Al's body, he became a normal person. "Alchemy" in Amestris was essentially using the philosophers stone . Rentanjutsu is just Alchemy like any other country like xerxes without using the philosophers stone. Meaning, By the time Scar removed the connection between everyone from using the philosophers stone, they were essentially using the true Alchemy or Rentanjutsu because they are both the same thing, just named differently. What you have to realize is that without the truth that every individual holds, They can't use alchemy or Rentanjutsu. So therefore Ed can’t use Alchemy or rentanjutsu. I'm sure Scar pretty much explains this when he's about to destroy the link between the people and the philosophers stone.

No no n o no nono no no no

Alchemy - uses the energy produced by the movement of earth's crust to power the equivalent exchange transactions through the gate.

Alkahestry - Uses the "life energy" surrounding the whole planet to power the equivalent exchange transactions through the gate.

Father - Blocked alchemy usage in Amestris by spreading his stone souls thrrough the whole country underground, so he can block those he does not want to use alchemy and "let through" those who he wants to. Scar's trick pretty much undid that lock, allowing people to directly tap into the power source of alchemy.

Both Alchemies use the GATE each person is born with to perform the equivalent exchange. EVERY act of alchemy, alkahestry or whatever pretty much sacrifices something of user's choosing to the gate, in exchange for something else.

Think of "Gate" as of organ required to do equivalent exchange. Organ that exists inside your soul. As a person is born, he is born with a gate inside him. If he begins to learn alchemy his gate keeps on existing, if he does not, then gate recedes and vanishes over time.

What ED did was sacrificing his own gate. He CAN'T do any alchemy not because of alchemical nature or something. Its because he has lost the organ needed for that.

People who have been blind from birth can't see the world, nor teach others how to paint.
People who have been deaf from birth can't hear the world, nor teach others how to create music.

Ed is just like that. He lost his "gate" sense forever.

Well, I usually NEVER pay attention to ratings, they are purely subjective and offer very little promise as to which anime you will truly like.

For example: Code Geass is one of the Highest ranked anime out there, but if you're not into mecha or very serious and dramatic storylines, you will NOT like it.

Another example: If you like ecchi anime, you will notice that the majority of them are rated very low, but who cares, if that's what you enjoy, you'll watch it no matter what the rating is.

and now this is how I view things:

I have two types of rankings (Favorites ranking and Objective rankings):

In my favorites rankings I STILL have Bleach as my favorite anime. (NO, I'm not crazy!)

HOWEVER in my Objective rankings these are my top 3: (FMA, Death Note, and Code Geass)

The piece which plays during mustang's scene and continues into the scene featuring scar is called "Beyond the Walls" . . That is followed by the original fma theme . . And then ray of light . . . I'm sorry if i'm missing somethin . Don't remember the ones which follow ray of light . . .

What classical theme? It's just a remix of the series' Lullaby of Resembool theme... or whatever they call it.

Well, that's if the same one we're talking about, episode 64 at 11 minutes, right?
Signature? I ain't got no signature! I don't need no signature! I don't have to show you any stinkin' signature!

I didn't like to wait one episode just to see what could've been done in like 5 minutes of anime (and it was done in like 30 manga pages). I feel they hurry lots of other plots then slow it down incredibly at the end... And the way Alphonse looked... it was like if he was 40 years old.

Anyway, the series in general were epic, and the ending was good (just feel that bones didn't make an effort in this chapter). I'd preffer to have 62 or 63 as the ending with that epicness *-*

An anime of this caliber won't be around for a while. FMA (both of them) is really a wonderful story but Brotherhood is superior. I was hoping Ed and Al would reflect upon Hohenheim, but I might have been hoping for too much. Great anime.

Great ending, really took what happened in the manga one step further. I loved how Al looks, but it would've been nice if they could have at least gotten the voice actor to deepen her voice a little. It was a little unnerving hearing little-boy Al's voice coming out of a 20-something.

That was an amazing episode. So heartwarming and full of content I never expected to see. This is probably the first time I've felt completely satisfied with an animes ending. It didn't make me sad, and it didn't make me yearning for more, it was the perfect amount. They were able to make it end with everybody being happy, without it coming off as something forced.

I've got to say though, the EdwardxWinry scene was by far the best thing ever. Not only does it make them canon, but that had to be the funniest confession ever. I definitely didn't expect it. And during the ending sequence, did Roy have a mustache and Riza cut her hair?! I personally prefer Riza's long hair and think that they should of kept it.. Oh, and Edwin babies are the most adorable things ever.

No, the scene was two YEARS after the battle.

The most telltale sign is Ellicia. She looks quite a bit older in the scene with Al and Gracia.

This easily beats the first series, I dont know why after the manga ended I wasnt too saddened, but now that ive finished the anime it finally hits home that its fully over. Amazing characters, music, animation, dialogue, emotions, expressions, beliefs and so many things.I cant claim this story was perfect, no anime/manga ever is, its all fan speculative, but still FMA borders greatness as well as any series ever will. A very popular story that really never got overhyped to the sense of many other mainstream shounens which is probably a good thing.

All in all I will remember FMA for its thoughts, especially Ed's drive and determination to accomplish his noble goals. An Unbreakable Resolve

Fin.

That made me a little sad. It has been an epic series, both in terms of the concept and the production. Great voice cast. Fluid animation. Interesting characters. Everything you could ever ask for in an anime or any TV series in general. I'd say this is one the best TV shows I've ever seen, animated or not, Japanese or not.

As far as the episode goes, it was great, haha, like always. One thing that stood out this time was the music. That really made the episode. Seriously, the choice of the music was just superb, it pushed all the right buttons, evoked all the right emotions.

Although it's hard to pick out a part that I liked more than others but still I'd say when Edward was trying to express his feelings to Winry xDDDD; That was a great scene.
