Eh? Wasn't that just for the place interchanges? Like if an anime passes another then the one which got surpassed would have a downwards arrow too. That's all I recall him suggesting at least

I think it was around here
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1406552&show=150#msg41787702

Now that i think about it though maybe we should remove it after 24 hours as we usually do, cause even in most rankings boards the positional change is only displayed right after a result and is usually removed afterwards.

So, i was looking at a typical example of rank change in a table, have a look at this:

We should follow as above, i.e
- If a show goes above another, a green arrow facing up showing it's rise should be placed before it, but also the show(s) that it goes over should have an arrow facing down indicating their ranks fell (as Hibbington earlier suggested). What caught my attention from above is that there is no longer a use for having a number next to the show that rose to indicate how many places it went up, the arrows going up and down should suffice as it creates a clear path for everyone to see.

- It should be cleared afterwards when the next day's rating is about to be recorded.

For example the top 5 in the score change is as follows:

▶ Charlotte (+0.18)
▶ Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakeri (+0.10)
▶ Overlord (+0.09)
▶ Wakako-zake (+0.08)
▶ Himouto! Umaru-chan (+0.05)

Assuming Wakako-zake gets a score change that takes it's value to +0.13, the table becomes:

▶ Charlotte (+0.18)
Wakako-zake (+0.13)
Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakeri (+0.10)
Overlord (+0.09)
▶ Himouto! Umaru-chan (+0.05)

From here it's clear that Wakako-zake rose 2 places, so there is no longer a need to represent it's rank change as:
▲[+2] Wakako-zake (+0.13)

I took the liberty of using Xiairaith's first day to at least try it out myself, it certainly does seem a bit complicated but is understandable to the one who wants to understand, the key is the updated notification, so far you're using that as a base it really shouldn't be confusing. I'm also thinking of maybe using actual numbers for the rankings from now on since we've eliminated the numbers for rank change, though i'll think a bit more on that.

Xiairaith can continue his duty from tomorrow, he gets a day less than everyone.

Hmm okay, I'm fine with that.

Will this part be removed from the club description now:
"If a show moves up a place it the rankings, a green arrow facing upwards will be put beside it, however the show(s) that it leaps over will not be given a red arrow facing down until upon their recording their rankings drop."

And concerning "It should be cleared afterwards when the next day's rating is about to be recorded.": something like an announcement notification in the club comments along with the update?

Well if you feel you can carry on yourself then go ahead.

It doesn't have to be 10pm unless that's a convenient time for you, if you check the livechart page for the day you're to record just look at the time the latest show airs and you can start from that time at least, from my experience it's usually 7pm (GMT+1) most of the time, but whatever works for you.

There was no data for Week 09 of Durarara. I assumed a zero change for it, and consequently a -0.02 for Week 10 now. Unless someone else knows how it might have really come to pass...

And Zee, looks like you didn't do the last update while using Japanese time on livechart. Not that I mind, as long as no scores are lost in transition.

DRRR didn't air the week before this one at least, but episode 9 should still have been yet another week before that in that case so that's still pretty weird

And I think I managed to convince them to use their own timezones after a certain point

So seeing as shows are finishing up from now on, do you update the club banner in the same way still? I mean with the 1/5 rule and all there's naturally going to be an advantage for any show which has just ended

No, we ignore all final episode ratings, it's too much of an advantage, the penultimate rating will be the final rating on the wall, until a thorough analysis is done at least.

So on the list we do leave the rating from after the second last episode for finished anime, until we do the final cut once all anime are completed?

Yes, though the final cut will be in the thread, we'll be waiting for a month after the season is over, then we'll reupdate the scores of the final eps then do analysis and final rankings.

I leave the Score Change number from before the respective show ended there (so basically the second last one), similar to how I already did it with Okusama and a few other shows right now, and put a [COMPLETE] tag next to it. If necessary, change it however you deem fit.

A pretty decent method to notice at which episode an anime is right now: checking its Recent Forum Discussion. And there I see that God Eater's 8th episode aired two days ago.

I mostly don't care and wait for someone to correct me XD

Anyways i guess we should talk about the trending list, if we really think that the minus thing has too big an effect then we could try switching back to the MSP score, but this time rather than 3 weeks we just leave it at all time. It'll be pretty much the same as the trending list to be honest but instead, if a show's score drops it only reduces the MSP score by one rather than kills it totally. Does give an unfair advantage to shows that air earlier and have more eps, but hey, what you gonna do!? It's far too late into the season to implement this so we'll leave the trending list and add the MSP for next season.

Well the most 'accurate' data would be to use the MSP Score like before but tracking the entire season instead, and sort by the differential just like the score in the data thread. Might get a bit overwhelming to look at though, depends on what approach you want to have

Well in this case it was probably planned from the start since it had more episodes than normal anyway. Plus waiting a month isn't the same as waiting four months :>

Can see the bottom right of this: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FU7YInYAqs4/VgNaNgCRV5I/AAAAAAADxPo/YwPA401aAgI/s16000-Ic42/004.jpg

Edit: Seems the moderators decided to separate the last two episodes into a whole new MAL entry instead so the problem resolved itself

It's just as interesting to see a large drop as a large boost from the final ep. Says a lot about the general direction the series took over time

I know you want people to look at the thread but because the thread has no interactive features for the members. They never really comment on it.

I believe that we need come to realization that the thread is more to our use and our benefit. The members themselves care more for our list and that the lists should be more of a priority.

We still have the option of implementing my feature I wanted, but it will be very time consuming to do and I know I am not in the position to put that much time in to implementing it on my own.
