If he was summoned as CG, all you'd see is a ghost city in the best case. In VN, however: 2) I am underwhelmed with anime version. Keep in mind that they have shown that UBW is way faster (Shirou's sword crashed into Gil's before Gil's swords even left GoB); not to mention that Gil didn't take Shirou seriously. Shirou (and Archer) are rare ones who can fight him on even terms due to nature of their magecraft... unless Gil pulls out Ea. Then only hax-like defense can save you. |

| I didn't understand how Archer survived his "death" a few episodes ago, but I hope the last episode will clarify this. 1) How could Shirou beat Gil? Gil is shown to be one of the strongest servants ever in both F/Z and F/sn. The fact that Gil hasn't mastered a single weapon makes it possible for Shirou to overpower him or something? I thought that was pretty vague. 2) At the end of F/Z, Gil wanted Saber for himself very badly. However, in UBW they hardly ever spoke. Even when Saber came to save Shirou in this week's episode, Gil completely ignored her. What's up with that? Just inconsistency? 3) What's the difference between the Grail at the end of F/Z and at the end of UBW? Because in F/Z when it was destroyed, a black ooze was unleashed and destroyed the city. In UBW, nothing happened, but the Grail did decide to absorb Gil or something? Why didn't the Grail decide to absorb someone else when it was destroyed in F/Z? |

Gil's arrogance allowed Shirou to cast Unlimited Blade Works, the natural counter to Gil's Gate of Babylon (that thing he uses to shoot weapons). He refused to draw Ea before it was summoned, too. Gil technically mastered 1 weapon and it's Ea, which he refused to use until it was too late. What Shirou meant was that Gil sucked at melee, at least compared to people like Archer, Lancer, Saber etc as opposed to him who can copy the weapon owner's battle experience and stats, which is why he always fights better when he "projects". |

She just needs IA + Prana burst + Excalibur to win in one go. 2)Saber's special skills were downgraded by the grail. Including her special armour. Also, Herk isn't Saber. Even as what would be considered a 'berserk' version of her, Saber still held her sanity. Which means she's far more flexible(in thoughts) than Berserker. |
