That's why berserker can't use one of his NP...it isn't that his "Madness" ability makes him unable to, it's that madness makes him insane and because he is insane he can't "use" one of his NP...but the NP doesn't get degraded because of it. In this case Saber vs Rider, Saber would get a subtract 1 grade to all stats but her NP would remain the same rank because the rank doesn't depend on the owner, it depends on itself. |

| Err, God Hand is always B Rank, y know. It's just negating attacks and NPs below A Rank. Madness/Mad Enhancement didn't do anything to NPs as far as I know. |

| More like because she lost Invisible Air when she turned Alter, I think. Anyway, the default NP stat is according to what kind of particular NP that Servants used the most. Saber still had C Rank as NP stat even when she's Rin Servant because Invisible Air is what she used the most. Same with Gil having E-A++ to his NP stat in F/sn because he defaulted to Gate of Babylon (though F/z is weird by having his GoB to EX Rank). |

For example let's take Saber Alter one who is known for being able to use Excalibur repeatedly. Look at her ME rank and compare it with the normal Saber's. That's why she can use it so freely. Not cuz of the NP rank. I never said Excalibur drops down to C. All I said was that at that state Saber, who can normally bring out its full power, can't bring out all its power anymore cuz her NP rank was lowered. The NP rank wasn't lowered. The default NP that it shows for her is IA, not Excalibur. | I just took screenshots from my save file at the end of Fate. As you can see, Excalibur was unlocked and it has an A++ rank, but her ability to utilize its full strength is reduced to C. |

I'll just leave my 2 cents from what I know; a) Her NP rank/skill/parameter thing is C and Invisible Air is C. It turned to A++ and A++ is Excalibur. b) GH is a B rank that is turned A rank by mad enhancement. Hence why it only allows A rank attacks or higher to even scratch it. |

So yeah, the NP rank in the character status screen has nothing to do with the actual rank of the NP itself. Like how the rest of of the status are dependent on the Master. |

| Then you guys are saying that NP rank is potential percentage rather than power? That would explain Saber's win against Rider, but puts a big question mark on Lancer's and Caster's NP ranks. There's no way those two aren't using their NP to their full potential. NP rank can't make sense if it's a percentage indicator. |
