| A great season finale. I could have used a little less of that obnoxious spoiled brat but I guess spoiled brats also have their part to play. 8/10 overall. |

| Nice and very emotional finale. I'm glad Natsume is not alone anymore. He was such a wonderful new family and friends, including those youkai. :) Overall, this was a little better than the third season. |

| Not many series can keep such a sustained quality throughout four seasons (and I'm expecting the same in the next seasons to come). It's difficult to pick a stand out favorite, because it just feels like one long woven story of his life, instead of separate seasons. 9/10 once again. |
| This season was definitely oriented towards Natsume's past and more context regarding his family, too bad Natsume didn't clear up misunderstandings with that girl he lived with, youkais really ruined his childhood. |
| Season 3 was my original cutoff line with this show, but instead of coming off as fresh this one hit me with a very melancholic vibe. Its story arc probably should get a lot of the blame, but it's also a very strange point to come back to the show. Not in a bad way - I actually love this, as well as the fact that the story is allowed to progress and mature instead of rehashing the same points forever. It's funny in a way, I probably took about as big of a break from this show as Natsume was absent from his house. |

| Natsume's past is filled with sadness. Good to see him grow up to have good friends and family now. Its so refreshing and beautiful. One of the most consistent anime I have ever seen. |

| What an emotional episode.. it hurt watching this haha.. but atleast it was heart-warming too - that Natsume finally found his home.. makes me realize, I have to treasure the blessings in my life while I still have them... ah, why is life so cruel! |
| Very emotional end to this season full of memorable moments. Made me tear up again seeing Natsume say goodbye to his old home and returning to his new home with his found family. A good reminder to treasure the things that we may take for granted in life, both the good and the bad, are precious memories that make us who we are. He had such a sad childhood and it's really heartwarming that despite everything he's endured, he is so peaceful and kind. |
