Manga readers never complain until their manga get animated ... literally for every single manga/novel they start crying after the anime shows them that their favorite manga/novel is shit and only them liked it so they start blaming the studio ...

Yes the anime has low budget thus low-quality animation but even with fancy animation this would have still remained shit ... I read the manga and ik what I am talking about

@UaEfAlCoN83 That’s a pretty lazy generalization, and it doesn’t match what’s happening here. Manga readers aren’t suddenly "crying" because the anime exposed the manga; the manga is actually well-liked, especially this arc. What people are complaining about is the adaptation choices: lifeless presentation, rough pacing, flat direction, and reused music, with how they spammed Garou's theme over and over again to the point I got bored with it. Those are problems of execution, not of the source material.

And saying "even with fancy animation it would still be shit" doesn’t mean anything when the issues aren’t limited to animation. You can take great source material and make it boring with weak direction, just like you can take average source material and make it engaging with strong direction. That’s literally what adaptation is.

If the manga were truly "shit", people would have hated this arc years ago, but they didn’t. The complaints only exploded now because the anime is failing to bring the material to life. Blaming readers instead of acknowledging production flaws is just dodging the real issue.

And btw, I'm a manga reader too, so I know what I'm talking about.

Chainsawman, Dorohedoro, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, many romance novels/manga, many isekai ... you always see manga/novel readers complain because they expected something and got something else ...

This part of the manga specifically had less interesting content compared to the beginning of the arc with the tournament and other stuff that happened

No one is saying the animation is great but this part of the manga isn't the strongest ... Garou vs orochi and the dog wasn't as bad as people make it seem ... yes with higher budget it could have been better it it didn't have "one frame" as they claim ... people are watching all these shitty isekai with barely any animation and rate them 6-7 while this season is getting 1/10 ... let's be objective you are telling me this is so bad that even hentai is scored higher than it? I have watched enough anime and read enough manga to know that this is not as shit as people make it seem

I hated one piece animation but I never went crying about it every single episode I simply stopped watching it because it stopped delivering the entertainment I am seeking ...

I am telling you I am enjoying this more than the shitty evangelion and cyberpunk and I am staying here till ep 12 and I am glad resources weren't wasted on random fights like what madhouse did ... they should have used that budget for hajime no ippo or something else

I totally agree with you that fighting over an anime is useless.
The point is: it's losing a lot of fans because it was treated as any unknown anime and probably it may be cancelled letting us without the ending (if the manga ends someday hahaha)
From my point of view, I dropped because not only a dull animation, but the jokes weren't hitting me :/ what's bad. anyway. I hope you enjoy the rest of the season 😀

@UaEfAlCoN83 You’re mixing so many different arguments that it’s hard to pin down what you actually believe. First, you say "the manga is shit", then you say "this part isn’t the strongest", then you defend scenes by saying they weren’t as bad as people claim. It’s inconsistent.

The main issue here isn’t that manga readers "expected something else". The backlash isn’t happening because the story changed; it’s happening because the execution is flat. People aren’t angry because it’s "different", they’re angry because it’s worse.

And comparing it to random isekai or hentai scores doesn’t mean anything. People expect more from OPM because the series set a standard. You don’t judge every restaurant by McDonald’s; you judge it by what it’s supposed to deliver.

People are discussing or complaining about the adaptation because they actually care about the series. You can enjoy it if you want, but other people pointing out flaws isn’t them "crying", it’s just criticism. You thinking Evangelion or Cyberpunk are worse is personal taste, not proof that S3 is well-made.

And finally, your hotpot example proves my point: the anime didn’t elevate anything. Even if the manga scene was weak for you, the adaptation didn’t improve timing, framing, or delivery; it just copied it with less energy. Good adaptations enhance weak moments; bad ones repeat them. And btw, the hotpot scene in the manga was amazing IMHO, the anime made it worse, and even the soundtrack wasn't landing, I complained about the soundtrack there since it was a mess.

If you’re enjoying it, cool, nobody is trying to stop you. But pretending the criticism is just "rage", "crying", or people wanting everyone to agree doesn’t address the fact that the direction, pacing, and presentation simply aren’t landing for a lot of viewers.

And btw, One Piece is a weekly anime that has been airing for ages and has more than 1,000 episodes. One Piece is about "quantity", not quality. I don't even like One Piece, but I can forgive the bad animation or direction there because it's a long-ass anime and they simply can't keep the quality up with so many episodes.

OPM S3, on the other hand, is a short anime with about 12 episodes. This one has no excuse for being this shitty; the least I expect from short anime is "quality".

I'm surprised that there are still people who defend this absolute atrocity.

And the problem isn't that it was an episode based solely on dialogue, because there are anime like Monogatari that are 99% dialogue and are God-like directed/animated and are a joy to watch.

Honestly, the latest episode of One Punch Man Season 3 was really disappointing in terms of animation quality. The show is known for dynamic action, clean movement, and impactful visual sequences, but this episode felt far below what fans expect.

Most scenes relied heavily on static frames, with characters barely moving while only their mouths were animated. This made the episode feel cheap and rushed, breaking the immersion completely. One Punch Man is supposed to deliver intense, fluid fight scenes, and instead we got stiff shots that looked more like a slideshow.

The story started with the one punch joke but it already got out-dated

you are pissed at the animation but even with insane animation you wouldn't really enjoy it unless you are only looking for action then go watch marvel movies

@UaEfAlCoN83 ??? this comment makes zero sense at all because season 3 should have good animation along with the fact that it would have a lot of fight scenes if the pacing was even a tiny bit better. this is season is objectively bad due to the poor animation, constant errors from the manga and very slow pacing.
