| Slow ep, but the buildup was on point! They played all the main battle OSTs in this ep alone for each individual epic scene. Luffy's proclamation from the last ep is met with an opposing statement ridiculing their lack of manpower, I'm glad they actually expanded the part showing how the Samurai numbered not in mere hundreds but in thousands. Got some very brief but greatly appreciated sequence of Zoro, Law and Kid battling it out before walking along the corridors as squads of samurai follow behind them, what a bunch of badasses. In the last part though, Kaido has broken through the dome's ceiling and Jack follows suit, the Akazaya Samurai are about to face off against Kaido and with the army of minks behind them to support them by fighting against Jack's troops. Their transformations were drop-dead insane and I love it, mainly because the classic OST is playing, it adds to the atmosphere so effectively. I am really eager on witnessing the two minks' boss Nekkomamushi and Inuarashi transforming into sulong in full animated glory! |

| Damn... that was such an epic episode. The buildup was crazy good in this episode. Loved seeing the confidence the comrades have in the Straw Hats and finally that Minks turning into Sulong on the Full Moon night. It's gonna be a hell of a showdown and Kaido has already turned into his dragon form which is concerning but so far, it looks good. |

| I don't really care if the following 2 episodes will be slow too. The 1000th episode has to be the GREATEST episode ever made otherwise imma cry my ass off. Queen's reactions were hilarious. Poor guy really thought that they had no army hidden somehwere xD Calls kept coming.. Marco and Perospero teamed up afterall which is pretty smart to do so. They'll be enemies probably but for now, it's time to kick Kaido's ass. Queen's reaction once again xD Love him. The second half of the episode was amazing, just amazing. The sulong transformations were absolutely INSANE, espically the OST! Man, it feels so good to hear that. The sound effects and lightning hyped me up so much. I can't wait for the main transformation. Cat viper and Dogstorm will be DOPE. |

| Look, Oden is the Goat but Toei really needs to chill with the Oden flashbacks. Idk how many times they showed Oden scarring Kaido by now, they're practically showing it in every episode. They act like we didn't just have a wholeass backstory about that. Really hope it doesn't into the same case as with Naruto and its Obito flashbacks. |

I think Yamato is too innocent for that, after all, her Father restricted her freedom for 20 years, and the fact that Kaido's subordinates calls her "young master", her title is much higher. |

| After getting such an amazing episode last week, Toei's back to its usual crappy ways. The recap took forever, as did the Sulong transformation sequences, the Oden flashback scenes have outlived their welcome, and pretty much everything else about the episode was slow. At this rate episode 1000 almost certainly won't be anything special either and we've been misled into thinking that it'll actually be worth it. :/ |

Hope Toei is gonna bring their A game when they add more anime original parts to Minks vs Jack, Nangi and Gifters. @Kozuki_Oden Yeah, loaded pages like that are always a golden opportunity to buy time, to build up atmosphere and to let certain parts breath or shine in general. Yamato vs Ulti from last week was another great example of how to adapt a minor scene that barely got attention in pretty much the best way possible. I would even say it improved upon the manga. Yeah this is completely FALSE. DO NOT EVER INSULT ONE PIECE, THE GREATEST FICTIONAL WORK IN EXISTENCE WITH THIS GARBAGE. ONE PIECE GETS BETTER WITH EVERY EPISODE AND IT HAS NO FLAWS WHATSOEVER (AND I'M SPECIFICALLY REFERRING TO THE ANIME BTW SINCE ANIME IS FAR SUPERIOR TO MANGA). |
| Given all the detail that is in the manga, Toei can stretch out this arc in the anime for 10 years if they want. And if they cut back on the flashbacks I'll happily go along with that. |
| Wasn't the recap of this episode repeated lmao? Anyways, the raid seems to be going along better, people are coming from all different directions, much to Queen's dismay xD. The fighting scenes in this episode were pretty good for Zoro and Killer, Marco and Perospero actually ended up teaming, and then we got another Oden flashback :( But the mink transformations were epic and intimidating! |

| Almost at ep. 1000, and this is how they promote it. A slow-ass ep. where over half is flashbacks, opening + preview from the last ep. What a shame. They really love to use the flashback/slow pace card. Darn you, Toei. The animation wasn't that great either and we didn't even see Inuarashi and Nekomamushi's transformations. |

| Despite the slow ep, cant lie all those snippets of fighting scenes were absolutely amazing! the minks / sulong transformation at the end was fantastic! i enjoyed it :D |

| Mink’s transformation is really cool. Ever since carrot did it I been waiting to see the others especially cat viper and dog storm. I thought Jinbae would be Jack match up Fishman and 4th strongest in each crew. But the minx taking him out is actually more appropriate based on what they did. Also im surprised Queen not calling out big mom for Mr.licky attacked them. And obviously Marco better not trust him. |
