And I don't think it makes much sense for them to have recovered the two sections, anyway. The theory of two coffins (one for Wang Chan) is also bullshit when "DIO" was written in the coffin. Unfortunately, the answer is a plot-hole. Dio had to get back somehow, even if that meant a contradiction. Hmm, yeah I suppose you're right. But then, plothole or not, what's the deal with the coffin having 2 components in the beginning scene of Part 3? |
| I think is just to show how weird was the structure of the coffin, as was a special coffin made for Dio to sleep for years. And I have seen people saying it was only shown in the anime, as a way to fix things, but it was in the manga too: http://i.imgur.com/Wr8OmKN.png |

| The Better Question Would Be: What happens when someone who possess a stand has sex? As you know, If the stand is damaged, it's user also gets damaged. That means that both stand and it's user are connected not as just seperate beings. For example, Just for example what would happen if Noriyaki decides to get it on with Jotaro's mom. Would his stand also feel ogasm ? Maybe it would do something Emerald Splash XXX. |

| He wasn't planning on bringing Dio back when he wrote Part 1. For a series this long it's just normal to have some retcons. Just enjoy the awesomeness. |
| Oh wow I didn't even know this was a plothole. I always assumed Dio had been stuck on the sea floor with the ship until some salvager picked up the wreck unintentionally helping Dio. |
