Its nice to see that Tenma actually decided to learn how to use a gun and become stronger. He is changing but still have his own good side for now. Im not sure if its always gpnna be like this.
Police is still useless and still no one even thought about twins

That was the correct way to introduce and end a story within 20min, I loved it and the fact that the girl smiled after all is <3.

my first time commenting on a Monster episode all bc the propaganda is strong in this one, it's crazy how western imperialism /colonialism is always justified/showcased as the norm in anime. damn it Japan stand up.

@pickyotaku i agree.. i can see the bits of propaganda in this episode alone, like german soldiers aren't saint or some shit.. but the aftermath of it was nice to see atleast.

Every episode has me wanting more! I can't believe where this is going! This episode was intense in its own right, just for showing the lengths Tenma is willing to go through in order to achieve self-reliance, but it's also a cute and emotional episode. Really good stuff, man.

"That's the sort of thing that happens when you have a gun." Uh sir, you were a mercenary in Myanmar. I don't think the gun was what caused the problem here.

Tenmas narrow escape from the hospital leads him into a training montage episode out in the woods. Touching story between the merc and child is the best part of this episode.

Tenma passed the training with flying colors but apparently the merc thinks he might not be able to fully pull the trigger when push comes to shove.

Eva ratted him out and made him a suspect for crimes he didn't commit. What kind of "monster" will he become in the process of trying to rid himself of the sin of saving Johan? How many more sins will he commit throughout this show to try and save his soul. I have a feeling the tradeoff won't necessarily be even in the karmic sense at the end of it all.

Living long enough to see yourself become the villain after starting out the hero sorta deal.
