Hell I'd stick with the training just to be able to shoot my way out of that hell hole lol. Not sure why that thought didn't go through his head rather than just submitting to the idea of being a puppet to survive.

I am loving this show, so far. Getting those vibes that Zwei will start working against Inferno will still carrying out his duties. I love that kind of setup :D

I'm digging the slow pace this episode. There was some nice characterization for Ein and for Zwei. The scenes with the higher ups really aren't that interesting tho. Hopefully they'll improve in the future.

Even though all his memories are gone, apparently that Japanese male pussy side still exist because he was quick to turn around when she stripped down to her underwear. Jesus Christ.

I think this episode did a great job showcasing the indoctrination process. Zwei already doesnt have any memories and with nothing around for him to interact with (outside of a water fountain and killing tools) along with constant exhausting training and conditioning its no wonder Ein has such cold, dead eyes if she had to go through a similar process. Its a deprivation of warmth and distractions, the only thing Zwei's mind has time to focus on is the training at hand.

Even so there are snippets of humanity left in them, like how Ein felt compelled to stroke an unconscious Zwei's cheek last episode. I think Claudia appearing and talking to Zwei might have an effect on how indoctrinated he ends up being, as that seems to have reignited something within him. Claudia herself seems to have her own ambitions for the organization, so maybe that'll factor in later.

Either way im glad that they are taking the time to show how Zwei became proficient with killing like he was in episode 1 instead of just going the route of "He's a prodigy, nuff said, skip to when he's killing more stuff". I reckon there's a deeper reason why the story is going this way, it'll be interesting to parse out that reason.

Did McCullen's gaslighting work on Zwei already? A slave with a chance to "ascend the ladder" or "earn their freedom" is still a slave for as long as neither of these results have yet happened, but it seems to have placed doubts in his head already. I wonder if he'll be truly loyal to Inferno soon. Ein herself seems to question them more than Zwei does.

Nice episode with a consistent mysterious tone to it, and surprisingly engaging training sequences, which I usually zone out of in anime.

Another pretty good episode.

We get Zweis training and Ein going out on a mission.
