| Well I was enjoying the anime up until the end, then I facepalmed. It was one of the most "anime logic" endings I've ever seen. I was looking forward to another big fight with a top wrestler for Sakura, boy I was surprised and laughing. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |
| This episode sabotaged the ending in my opinion, up to this point I didn't mind the series, but it would have been infinitely more credible if they had both just decided to go into pro-wrestling and continue as rivals that way. The convenient fairy tale ending twist (which is exactly the same in the manga) stretched any credibility to the breaking point. It would of been more grounded to show a tough choice about them moving on to new challenges via wrestling, but alas the series takes the safe route with an extremely ridiculous 'Happily Ever After...'. Would have been more ambitious to have them moving on to new things, but they obnoxiously cling to their lame idol careers instead of taking the bolder step of moving on. |
