And to think that the only person so far who has clearly bested Mugen and Jin is a blind woman. Also, if she had been doing this for her son, does that mean she was willing to kill people indefinitely? Also, if they're the government, and obviously this has something to do with they're quest to find the sunflower samurai then I have a theory : Kuu's dad is the emperor or someone from way up the government ladder and he doesn't know about her existence. Someone decided they can't meet or it will ruin the government's reputation or something. Lol idk.

Jin showing that among the 3 main characters, he is the one who cares most about others, he risked his own life alone so that Mugen and Fuu would not be in danger. When Jin came back, it looked like the other two didn't even care that much. Mugen was kind of grateful, but nothing about Fuu, she almost ignored the fact that Jin was back.
When Fuu saved Mugen, he didn't thank her either. Which leads me to believe that each one of the group has their favorites.

Compare the voting results between this episode and the next one (episode 22, which I've already watched, I'm just coming back here to put in my own discussion post which I forgot to do). Quite the stark contrast, from overwhelming skewed to a 5/5, to having equal parts 5/5's as 4, 3, 2, and even 1/5's. Dang.

Once again, another rather masterful 2-episode arc on par with the previous one, Lullabies of the Lost. Only downside is that once these excellent stories end, you kind of are just left wanting more. Maybe one more episode about Mugen taking down the government lol

Shit just got real. Probably someone decided Jin and Mugen together are too dangerous.

I've been hearing for years about how good this series is, but for some reason I always kept putting it off. I'm so glad I decided to watch it and experience episodes like these. Everything seems almost flawless: the drama, the action scenes, the mystery surrounding our protagonists and their enemies, their relationship and the way it grows steadily from episode to episode, the art direction, the style (along with Cowboy Bebop probably the coolest anime series I've seen), the music, the philosophical touches here and there and - finally - the representation or the Edo era.

These last couple of episodes were amazing - although in this series all episodes range from "very good" to "incredible" in my opinion, no mediocre stuff here.
