| The absolute rule breaking episode, pretty much shown that there is no plot armour or power of friendship in real boxing. This I feel is the best outcome for Ippo's character development. Date had a lot to lose here and its obvious his own dreams of pursuing world title would've dissapeared, the difference of expierence in the fight was obvious and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of it all |
| This episode was so fire. I was expecting him to win, just as in all his previous matches where other boxers seemed stronger than Makunochi, but he still managed to win. This wasn't the case, though. Not gonna lie; I was tearing up a little at the end when he was apologizing after his loss. I could really feel all the emotions. It was an awesome episode, I am excited to see his future comeback. |
| Man that was so sad, even when I felt this would be coming and I still felt sad about it. They made it look more sad than it is when everyone losing hope on top of them was Ippo :( |
| Now they're on even ground with both Date and Ippo struggling to stay up. Ippo went down and coach threw in the towel. That was such an unfortunate outcome for Ippo as the challenger, I'm glad he didn't win this one with some decisive hits but we can see clearly he needs to improve to match the level of a national featherweight champ. |

| What an episode!/a match! Simply epic. Ippo my man. You're just best. The amount of emotional weightage this episode has. Oh! Dear, I knew, he'd lose, but seeing his fighting spirit, started rooting him to win at some point. Made me teary. Goddammit. |

| That was an intense match, and a tragic loss. Ippo was running on instinct in the last round. Hopefully, he doesn't take this lost too hard. |
