The right girl won in Tsukasa, but don't like the manga still since the overabundance of harem-romcom cliches were there and the relationships were poorly thought out. It was not AS bland as popular harem-romcoms nowadays like the Quintuplets one or We Never Learn but its on that level in terms of actual quality of writing.

I just finished reading it for the second time after 14 years or so (I came across it while unpacking some old boxes and decided to give it another go). Massive mistake. I am currently under a terrible depression because of the development of the ending, even though I remembered how the story ended. I guess the feeling will wear out in a few days but I will leave a note for my future self inside the box to never read it again but treasure it.
I do remember being full on Tsukasa supporter the first time I read it, but this second time Toujo's confession and getting rejected broke me into pieces because it was sad to see that after all the effort it took her to overcome her shyness it bore no fruit. It might also have to do with me reading it all in 4 days this time vs the several months it took the first time because I had to wait for it to be published so the grief was far more bearable.
It's still my favourite romcom because of the pureness of mind all characters have (even Satsuki who although she would undress for Manaka, she wouldn't dare to kiss hime so soon).

Nishino don't understand Manaka's dream?
Toujou love Manaka more than Nishino ???

"Video Camera in fire accident" Nishino is the one who care about Manaka's dream(although Manaka not notice) in that situation(she even don't care if her can died with that). And Nishino always support Manaka's dream she dedicated so hard to acting in his 2nd film(More than Toujou in 3rd film)

Manaka choose Nishino cuz he feel guilty?

Had you really reading manga? Manaka said in his mind "I'm feel bad for Nishino sad face more than Toujou's tear" that mean He love Nishino more than Toujou.

Finally. The girl with no the same dream with you but understand your dream and always waiting you for 4 year is not true love? then what is true love?

If Manaka meet Toujou on rooftop is destiny. In that case, Manaka misunderstand to confess Nishino is destiny too!!

My heart still akes from the clift hanger of 166, I mean, I thought manaka would be a failure. The panel of the mom telling he should be studying and not working make me think of it, junpei being a failure. On the begging of the chapter 167 after the time skip and everyone being somewhat of accomplish in life and manaka without appearing, made my worries increase.

Think ab that, if being realistic ab the girls, and picking Nishino instead of Toujo, wouldnt it be the same ab a failure film director? But well, the ending wasnt so bad, I wonder if Asamis predictions might come true bcuz he went on the same college with aya right? He even recognize Aya with glases and ugli hair, not even Junpei could recognize ver on the start.

He not failure i think he will do the same way if he belong to Aya. cuz he think he not suitable to Tsukasa or Aya he need to prove himself that he can stand by himself.

Nishino Tsusaka is the best girl who always support her future husband and she found her's dream just bcuz Junpei and she do her best for him.
Finally they belong together i think that perfect marriage life no doubt!!

Lastly, after Tojou confession, he still choose Nishino based on guilt. I think it’s fine for this part, since he just got back with her. But in real life, that kind of realtionship based on guilt will crumble on its own and hurt each other more. Never go that route. And to be fair, here is Tojou flaw, her timing of confession is very odd, she is giving up so easily, and the irony of fate cause a small misundersand turn into big problem. Without building up any mood, and just go straight to confess. She could just talk a bit about their memory and life goal since she is already determine to confess anyway.

Thats full of bullshit, what a bitter way of thinking.

No matter what , he choose Nishino , and i am glade he did.
This manga would be boring and no diffrent then any other haram mangas if he ended up with Aya.
I am glade the author choose a diffrent kind of ending and something no one really predicted will happen and thats why this manga was so good :)

this seemed like a generic run of the mill eechi harem story didnt care much for who manaka ended up with in the end but on the plus side the art was nice old almost nostalgic kind of artstyle that I reallyy appreciated ^^ 5/10

What the fuck was that ? A last ditch effort to leave a good impression by introducing new characters ,chemistry and thus love .LolMao.
A boatload of hash for 99% of its run and the the author running away tucking his tail in between like what the MC did .Heck there was no need for all the love BS with cardboard characters.A 50 chapter of platonic relationship among the three while growing up would have served better

I did like how the author finished by showing what all of the characters ended up doing with their lives. It’s nice to see how all of them progressed. That being said,

FUCK. THIS. ENDING.

Junpei’s feelings for Tsukasa feel so forced towards the end. Toujou finally puts her heart out, the “you’re the only one to ever notice me”, sends her his notebook, and then he goes with the one that has nothing in common with him except for the fact that he found her attractive and ran up to her on basically what seemed like a dare to ask her out in MIDDLE SCHOOL?

Stupid. Utterly stupid. I’d take a cliche ending over an edgy ending any day.

I would have loved to see Toujou and Junpei making movies and writing scripts together.

That volume made this a very generous 6/10 from the 8/10 it had going for it.

It was like hiking a mountain to see the beautiful sunrise on the other side, only to see a sewage plant in the valley below once you got to the top.

@Kmelbs
So you're saying that ending up with the first girl isn’t cliché?
Then give me some reasons — which parts show that Nishino isn’t suitable, and where exactly does it show that Tojo is a better match for someone who gets embarrassed at almost every moment and feels awkward in every single scene together?

@bakakisima You’re reading it with obvious bias. What “random new character” are you even talking about? Nishino’s been around since the early chapters, and her relationship with the MC has been deeper than Tojo’s since the middle of the story. Maybe you just kept focusing on Tojo so much that you didn’t even notice Nishino’s role had already surpassed hers.
