I assume 6 years when she came out of the stone, and year later she completed the revival fluid

I really enjoyed the process Suika went through to make the revival fluid.
Her struggles were very moving.
Suika was just a little kid who only knew a bit about the process, yet now she had to do it all by herself without anyone’s help. She went through many failed attempts, but kept getting back up.

However, I think there were some flaws in this episode. One of them is the idea of gathering her friends who were still petrified. My question is, could a child that young really lift such heavy stone bodies? Well, even though Suika eventually built a simple cart to carry them, that was only used for the ones far away with rough terrain.

Another flaw is that there was no transition shown of Suika’s growth over the seven years she spent working on the revival fluid alone. If that transition had been included, it would have been much better. It wouldn’t even need to be long—just one minute would have been enough to show her growth over those seven years. Instead, we only see at the end that Suika has grown into a teenager around the same age as Senku.

I liked the process Suika went through as a child, but there were some shortcomings that kept this episode from being perfect.

Maybe the right rating would be 8 out of 10.

We have strayed SO FAR from the original premise of a semi-believable afternoon science club, through "streamlining" and oversimplification and fastforwarding, not to mention straight-up shounen, to whatever this was, I just can't even. The warning at the end seems completely pointless and superfluous at this point, because nobody could even attempt to follow any "science" anymore.

I'll tear the third paper and put it away.

Yeah, sure, that's just how science works, right? Sorry not sorry but even a willing suspension of disbelief can only stretch so far. And it'd gotten well past breaking point several times already. Now with little Suika, who couldn't even distinguish faces without her glasses, is suddenly reading tightly packed pages of science, following instructions to create revival fluid.... after who knows how much time of searching up and down for the last remnants of the batch they did have. And suddenly in all that time, time actually passes and it's visible and she gets to grow up. Right.

On top of all this, the emotional manipulation is way too obvious.
@yellowheartren You have all the reason, but what do you want? This fórmula works and watch Senku come back to life again feels so good.

Absolute masterpiece in character, story, visual and aural elements. I wasn't sure if they were going to wait for next episode for the first revival. Until the drop hit Senku's eye and everything became clear. And of course he knew exactly how long it had been and who Suika was. An amazing build up throughout the episode and such an emotion release. It legit took me several minutes to collect myself.

I didi't read so far into the Manga so I was afraid that it would took her 30-50 years to revive at least Senku. With her dying minutes after saving everyone.

Suika definitely deserves a very high spot in the absolute best grils of all times list!

Before watching, i knew where the plot is going(it's kinda obvious with that setting tbh), that it will be a very long time & by the time she succeed she will already grown up. And yet, it still made me teary eyed.

Finally the pacing went back to what the OG Dr. Stone was like. This was the first episode of the entire season that holds up to the quality of past seasons. A great return to form.

Seeing her struggle so hard especially when she tried to socialize with the statues was unbearable to watch. I felt so bad for her.
But what a trooper she is. Holding on for 7 yearsand achieving the near impossible.

She held up senkus trust in her and achieved even beyond that too all alone. Suika hands down one of the best characters.

Senku finally up & getting to see suika, smiling and being proud of her made my day.
Great episode

Last episode, I said that I had found my best female secondary character, except for the fact that Suika is still a main one. While I was hesitant about considering her the best female main character so far, with this episode, I'm not that hesitant anymore.

Besides, now I'm considering Karin Takahashi as the seiyuu of the year. Not only she conveyed perfectly how a child would feel being alone in the world and having the responsibility of saving it over her shoulders. She also had an excellent performance by speaking in the same way the petrified characters used to speak to her. Absolute cinema.

That was like a completely different show than the rest of the season. Welcome back, Dr. Stone. We need more of this and less of... whatever nonsense that war was.

I'm so proud of Suika in this episode. I can only imagine how tough it must've been to spend so many years all alone. Even grown-up Suika is still cute.

Suika is truly the savior of the world.

Unlike previous event, this time Suika was indeed the only human left. Without her, mankind would stay petrified forever or for 1000s or 10,000s of years!

7 years as the only human on the planet. Takes a lot of strength not to go insane.

Amazing episode
alot of emphasis on the time passage, science from 0, and how little time rly matters when without humans, tge billions of yrs that went by without a single record of history, development or mark by humans (other than suika ofc) also live that she grew up to have a apple shaped hair, just like the helmet she always used

my bone to pick is with the last scene
such an heartfelt moment and such an wholesome reunion but then THERES THIS ONE FRAME?!?!? WTF!?!?!? SENKU LOOKS HIDEOUS HERE, brother, what is that face, those ears, i had to stop and rewind cause i was in disbelief (he loos like a monkey T-T), such a great episode and they couldn't have made him at least... less uncanny? he has literal model level of facecard when in his dying bed being treated from standley shot and this is the frame they go with for the pinacle of the season? i was mad 😅

I laughed way too hard at this lol. It won't be easy to unsee the monkey ears. Though, I think it's just the style of the mangaka. Everyone has the same monkey ears and Senku seems to have always had them. Some Mandela Effect material there.

Had it been Chrome, who would have got the revival fluid in a month:

Chrome: Naa, Senku! Here's my payback for the last time! Am I the greatest science-user or what?
Senku: Chrome, temee. Not bad! Just over a year. (Breaks out of the petrification and high-fives Chrome)
Senku: (Evil Senku face) You skipped Ostwald.
Chrome: (Annoyed) Where was I supposed to find the damn platinum?!
Senku: (Senku snickering) We're in Minas Gerais. There are platinum deposits around.
Chrome: Yabee!

I think, this is the most heartwarming episode of the series. Not the season. The series. The message:Science is for everyone patient enough to try. Because of that, Suika became the hero Senku needed.

@yellowheartren dude, do you even wear glasses? My vision is so weak people's faces look so blurry but I can very easily read papers up close. Do you understand how vision works, and what lenses are, like at all?

This got me so bad. It's been so long since an anime made me cry. Having a kid spend 7 years all by herself with the only interactions she can have is with animals and stone statues HURT. 10/10 episode.

Nah, bro, what a beautiful episode. They literally showed "the unstoppable human spirit" in action. Suika is this season's MVP by far.

Very well adapted, in my opinion.

I think it's hard to come up with a contender for an episode in the entire series that could top this one.

So many moments throughout the episode where I couldn't help but cry from both Suika's despair, and her perseverance.

When she found Kohaku's statue, when she broke down while talking with all the statues, when she decided she would keep trying no matter how many years it would take, and of course when she reunited with Senkuu after being all by herself for what, like 5 years all on her own?

What an absolutely amazing episode, I have high hopes for the season finale next week.

First good episode of Dr. Stone in ages. I know I've been ragging on them for a while now, but that means I also have to give credit where credits is due. Felt like season 1 with Suika learning science herself for for the first time and the trial and error involved with it.

Suika is truly one of the best characters in the show. Her determination and motivation to save her comrades was just so inspiring to watch and also, I absolutely loved the ending of the episode. This series just keeps getting better and better.

Hmm so is 7 years the time total or since Suika broke out of the stone?
Senku couldn't have known when Suika broke out of the stone and was probably counting since the start of his re-petrification?
I mean maybe he observed that she was 7 years older but they showed him counting making me think it's the former?
