I heard a lot about Tetsuwan Birdy on how it's just like Super man but with an Anime female character.

Azumanga Daioh, for being such an important foundation to our modern cute girl anime and for being a damn good series, it's been completely forgotten. It never comes up on SoL lists or anything.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

I can't think of any if going like 2010s series at least to start off with but when I saw Re-kan I was surprised I'd never heard anyone talk about it at all 2015 when it came out or after. Probably because it's a slice of life subbed only simple show about ghosts and the gimmick didn't do much for anyone but I held off on it at first with the first two episodes and didn't go back to watch it until recently and was glad I picked it up again as I enjoyed it. More than the shows I hated, picked up with the dub and still somewhat hated it was nice to pick up a show I wasn't sure on and enjoyed. XD

Older era anime will always be less noticed by people, those that are nostalgic, those that are willing to seek it out for themselves even without being into old anime but are just willing to give things a go and so on are not as common as watching what is new. What's new is appealing and easy to seek for then going 'I have to look around for this old thing no thanks' because people don't want the effort, don't care for t he artstyles and will judge it too much than those that are willing to with the right mindset to watch them regardless.

Without multiple seasons most don't care same in any medium (or once something else bigger comes along besides the multiple season ones and pushes the others aside and the next generation jumps to them).

For me I may have started in 2014 but I got into watching 2000s shows quickly besides 2010s ones. I haven't started 90s yet other than some 2000s ones based on 90s manga or a 90s Hentai I came across but that's about it not a lot. Or any YouTubers that bring them up of old anime media.

I agree with Shakugan no Shana. Even when it is brought up people go 'it was ok or we need to be particular if we do talk about it' and I'm like I mean I guess. Otherwise rarely see anyone talk about it. Because to me it was an anime I wanted to see everything from S1-3, OVAs, the Shana-tan specials I really liked the show and it was my 3/4th anime too but no one seems to talk about it. I remember the show very well even if it isn't that amazing I enjoyed it.

I impulse bought the first season DVD/blu-ray combo (even if missing 1 blu-ray disk, disk 2 so had to use the DVD one which didn't bother me) on the counter of a used DVDs/Games/equipment store which I usually go to for the cheap older console games but I wanted it badly and don't regret rewatching the first season that way, I like the series.

I loved Baka and Test (even if it got samey with gags I still enjoy it and it's concept) and Haganai. They were my earliest anime. Not seen Maid sama yet, and Little Monster I know of but confuse it with another anime of a similar name that I didn't like. Found it: Hatsukoi Monster

I got into Hentai sooner than I thought (ecchi borderline OVAs making it hard to tell at times what was Hentai or higher ecchi related ones until years later) and didn't commit to Hentai until recently.

Grisaia went downhill with the new cast and story in the Phantom Trigger visual novels from some people in the visual novel community (whether because episodic or just the content sucking more). When it came to Phantom Trigger I don't know about the anime audience though, whether they know about the 2 OVAs/even care at all (especially if it isn't a TV series) or it's a 'it is done' situation for many people that don't even know any different. I haven't bothered to see the Phantom Trigger OVAs for it I just don't care compare to Fruit, Labyrinth or Eden. I may give them a go but I wasn't that excited for them.

I think Initial D is quite forgotten. Not only because it's an old anime but it's also a niche anime, not everyone is gonna have the time of their lives just watching cars racing for several episodes.

And I think the animation could be a turn-off for some people as well. It's quite ironic in my case, I love the bad CG of cars in Inital D First stage so much that I hated to watch the hand-drawn cars from Fourth stage and onwards, IDK man the CG cars just look incredibly cool to look at.

CG sure would make sense I assume but it's more a case with older anime viewers and those really into cars that appreciate it still. I've seen a few on YouTube that are into it. Whether the anime (from drift youtubers) or racing game youtubers that cover 2000s era racing games because it was a great period of racing games to look at compared to nowadays and how average many are. Besides being a license there was good and bad ones. Otherwise people meme the music a lot so that has stuck for sure. Running in the 90s and others for sure have. I haven't seen the show myself I should one of these days but it has for a time at least with the music memes, can't say for seeing the show if people did or only care for the music memes.

The vast majority of anime that came out before the 2010s.
Who are you and why do you show your hostility towards a complete stranger whom you've not once spoken with before. Are you seriously asking to get blocked? Well, if that's what your intent is; to tempt me into throwing hands with someone as lowly and insignificant as you, then i may grant your wish provided you articulate yourself a bit better when trying to spite a person of my wavelength.

You need some great determination to watch 90s Hentai. Unlike Ecchi or modern Hentai they were made with serious determination. At this point masturbating to them wasn't even the point. Also, what a reminder 'Baka to Test' was. Everyone forgot about it even though until 2018 people still thought it was one of the funniest show.

This is just a few titles of a long list of anime that once were popular in one part of the world or another, but have since faded away. (Mainly U.S, but also looked at Japan)

Space Battleship Yamato (1974 series), Space Pirate Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express 999, Queen Millennia, Flame of Recca, Voltes V, Area 88, Warau Salesman (a Japanese icon that has faded out of relevance), Transformers, Macross, VOTOMS, Hamtaro, Nadia, Nadesico, Rahxephon, Wangan Midnight, Kaiji, Capeta, Monkey Turn, Rave, Elemental Gelade, Kishin Douji Zenki, Gokudo-kun Manyuuki, Ushio to Tora, Yuusha series (all of it), Oishinbo, most CLAMP stuff (though Cardcaptor Sakura is still pretty relevant), Ninja Hattori-kun, Get Backers, Buso Renkin, Mai-HiME, Tekkamna/Tekkaman Blade, Gatchman, Tetsujin 28-gou, Tetsuwan Atom, Kinnikuman/Kinnikumain II Nisei, Dr. Slump: Arale-chan/Dr. Slump (1997), Mach GoGoGo.

A lot of those shows are not even close to being iconic, might as well say all the anime made before 2010 were iconic with that logic. Not to mention, Transformers is originally an American show and there is nothing forgotten about it to begin with.

These shows are iconic. Astro Boy, Area 88, Space Battleship Yamato, and Macross. They had a strong follwing even until 2010. As for Transformer; it before it got hit with the Americans was popular with Japanese kids. But from Japanese mind it fade away until American revived the franchise.

Nice job cherrypicking only a few names from the list that suits your point and ignoring the fact you called iconic to all of the anime in that list like Erementar Gerad or Busou Renkin or Getbackers. And where is your proof that Transformers was popular in Japan before it was in America? Even though there is the fact Transformers originally is not an anime to begin with. You are so full of it.

Not cherry-picking; those shows are essential to point out for my argument. As for Getbackers; anyone who have invested enough time in the Otaku culture knows that it was received very well and expect to have a growing fanbase but new Shounen that were globally popular made it fade away from people's mind.

And now for biggest flaw on your statement:
Due to a toy company Takara; the Transformer craze started in Japan first. But other Anime got more hit and got better merchandise sales. Thus, merchandise or Anime could not kept the Transformer craze alive.

You seem to not know much and just wanted to join the discussion anyway possible.

The Leiji Matsumoto ones were popular in Japan during the 1970s and early 1980s, but lost popularity following the mecha craze in the mid 1980s.
Flame of Recca held popularity during the 1990s and early 2000s in the U.S, but now it is virtually unknown.
Voltes V was a popular mecha in Japan, even being more popular than Gundam at one point, but Gundam, Macross and VOTOMS, were more serious mecha that eventually gained more traction.
Zenki and Ushio to Tora were popular in Japan during the 1990s, but have faded away. (Still popular in the Philippines).
Transformers is still popular in the U.S, but has practically pulled out of Japan, at one point Japan had a lot of exclusive merchandise and shows, the popularity dwindled around the late 1990s (circa Beast Wars Japanese dub) and by the 2000s the franchise had pulled out, with the exception of the films.
Tetsuwan Atom, Tetsujin 28-gou and Mach GoGoGo are either relegated to preschool shows in Japan or have been inactive since the 1990s or 2000s.
I could have made the list for 2000s shounen (Rave, Elemental Gelade, Buso Renkin), I could have made the list a lot longer, since there was Beet, Beelzebub and Claymore, which have also lost a bit of popularity, I would say "2000s shounen", but there is Naruto, Bleach and Dragon Ball Z Kai among other successes.
GetBackers and Mai-HiME were both well received and got a couple of years of great popularity in Japan and among otakus in the United States.
The Yuusha series had a following in Japan and the last series, GaoGaiGar, exploded in popularity, but the series ended with the turn of the century along with Transformers.
Area 88 was a popular OVA with American audiences during the 1990s, it also saw some popularity in Japan, enough to warrant a theatrical adaptation and a 2004 remake, the remake got little to no foreign attention.
Gatchman has three English dubs, the first got a decent amount of popularity, it saw several Japanese sequels, but its iconicity has faded somewhat
Tekkaman was a flop because it did not reach Gatchaman/Casshern levels of popularity, but eventually gained popularity afterwards, warranty the Blade remake which saw popularity and one (terrible) English dub, it has disappeared now.

These are my reasons for selection, as I said Beet, Beelzebub and Claymore could also be added, as well as some that I did not even mention, like Nichijou, Kamui, Samurai Seven and Ninku. If you have any questions, then ask me.

Again, you are cherry picking and being ignorant of my other points and keep bullshitting only about Getbackers , it does not matter what started the craze in Japan, Transfıormers aired first in America and it was not an anime and you still didn't give any proof to back up what you said in your previous post either, I should't expect much from a zoomer who is full of it.
Here is a wiklipedia to prove what I said "The Transformers is an American animated television series that originally aired from September 17, 1984, to November 11, 1987 , in syndication based upon Hasbro's Transformers toy line." It first aired in Japan in July 6, 1985, one year later after America.

You in fact do not know what you are talking about. You lack proper research and do a overview analysis. It felt like you did one minute google search and click the first link. Since, you didn't found the information there you made it a fact it didn't happen. At this point your whole purpose is to enter a debate then challenge an argument regardless of what points it gave, trying to counter it to give yourself a ego boast.

Plus, it airing in America first will not change Transformer had an Anime adaptation through the help of Takara toy makers. Similarly, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was first aired in America then Japan. Because their were more bet on it's success and profitability in America. So, what's airs where first do not explain what is an Anime and what is not. And no none of that is cherry-picking; you keep repeating multiple time to make it true. But repeating things doesn't make it the truth.

I agree. To me older Hentai is 'whatever story and events they wanted to have or a more 'look at this couple taking it slow like in Virgin Night (took a while to find it and even then it was a fine watch, it was stiff animation though what I saw so it was odd) with like 1 scene if that which I think makes sense compared to the 'how many scenes can we fit in with some action' it makes most action shows look strange in comparison. For those wanting the 'action' then sure most modern Hentai get the job done but for those wanting more of the relationship or other story moments (couple, exercising ghosts or so that I have seen so far, meaning very few but working my way through them) and like 1 scene of action older is for sure the way for people to go. In some cases older is what I expected it to be is just brief moments not going nuts of action scenes or taking up 90% of the episode of just 1 big long action scene even depending on the length or what moves they want to present the characters in.

Some ecchi can be hit or miss or just weak at even teasing at all but it depends I haven't seen some ecchi series in a while, even then some dropped those scenes for the story and have 1 scene appear to remind you like it was S1 all over again even though its however many later or power up only moments if it's that type of series.

Yeah Baka to Test is for sure. I checked both OPs a few times and rewatched the series about once or twice. I don't think it's amazing in a Nichijou sort of way of 'look how funny and crazy the situations are'. I didn't even laugh at it I thought maybe one or two moments were fine but not LOL funny. I think Baka to Test having it's tropes and gags can get on nerves, the Inquision was a fine way to dress up the 'the girls are saying something take the threat down' in a fan club sort of way works fine but can be annoying and otherwise the blood nose moments too or poking eyes out too can, I hate the 2 episode 'see the girls' arc in S2 I always skip it, it is really boring and drags on. It is fine enough but not the best comedy I've ever seen either.

It was still popular until 2015. But the popularity after that year would quickly wither away.

This too. I would also say that Future Diary, Speed Grapher and Chibi Vampire are another few that had some prevalence in the 2000s that have faded away.

Speed Grapher didn't really got attention when it was released. It was expected to be forgotten in few years. Unlike, Future Dairy which got a huge audience where they both equally liked it and hated it.

For American fans they were really amazing. These fans were the one that introduced Anime to a bigger audience around the world.

ooooh thats cool i did not know that over here they were cheap throwaways haha!

Well due to the Japanese economical bubble busting. These project planned had many changes to be cheaper in product. Especially in length, which is why they felt like alot of 90s OVA did not made any improvement from the 80s. But they were still liked in America because of how unique they were for the audience.

I would say Claymore.... A Proper remake would go crazy
It was quite popular as a sister of Berserk. Many people still watch it when they crave for something like Berserk.

They put a lot of effort and not just build up before the sex scene. But also comedy and a proper plot.

I hope they animated the rest of the source material.
