| Damn, for being a cult who seemingly try to make themself be a holy organization, they sure are dirty cheats. The ability to alter one's appearance is immensely effective at covert operation, or in the extreme case, convince allies to fight amongst one another due to reasons such as the one seen in this ep, damn Benimaru just got outplayed. Obi made a mighty stand against Benimaru there, well done on his part, but Benimaru wasn't even serious yet damn. I'm eager to see the destructive potential his Sun Wheel has. |

It took 94 replies for you to show up and point it out, no one else seems to care. I am baffled by how little the important things like this matter to most people. We get no explanation of why the hell Benimaru, after seeing the culprits and chasing after them, ends up chasing the "wrong guys". There are no indications that he took a wrong turn or that he ever lost sight of the two, so how can the clones be chased and then turn out to be the real, innocent captains? Extremely stupid episode, and ONE PERSON out of 100 has noticed it. Others are just calling it "cliché", completely missing the point. Thank you for proving there's still intelligent life out there. |

| Those doppelgangers have sure caused quite the problem framing Obi and Hinawa like this. Benimaru lives up to his title as the strongest captain with how easily he's dealing with the 8th brigade. But Obi's got courage to keep him standing in this captain fight. The lieutenants backstory was pretty brutal, and it sounds just like those fakes plan to turn all the villagers infernal in the modern day. I'm sure the 8th and 7th brigade wont let that happen. |

| Final episode of the first cour, and it also happens to be the first episode of Fall 2019, I meant to do another post before Summer 2019 ended but I forgot there was a delay between episodes 11 and 12 back then lol. But as I said, I will do a post for the end of the first cour and one for the start and end of the second as well, although it looks like OP2 and ED2 didn’t start until episode 15, so I may wait till then to do another post. But all that aside, very good episode to end the cour off with, it’s in the middle of an arc and probably also why the OP and ED doesn’t change for a bit, but still works as a great halfway point, Benimaru getting tricked and halting the progress of the investigation was a shame but it did make for an awesome fight that showcased the power of the 8th, mainly Captain Obi, I really think he’s such a badass character having no power and all, but still managed to take on Benimaru who’s supposed to be the strongest Fire Soldier, so damn cool. Konro eventually came in and ended things but it was still a sick battle, now it’s time to get the focus back on the investigation. But yeah man, it’s been such a nostalgic ride so far going through the months of Summer 2019 all over again and seeing all these great characters again, both for how badass they are and how silly, one of the things I’ve always loved about Fire Force is how it never takes itself too seriously, there’s always time for Arthur to make a knight joke or for Tamaki to strip randomly, I love it, all part of why this is one of my favorite shounens, many will probably say they hate Tamaki’s inclusion but she’s part of what makes it unique imo. |
