| YES! THIS is why I love Kanon! THIS episode is what it's all about. This is what Kanon has to offer (that Makoto arc was misleadingly dull, same feeling I got the first time around). And yes, it only gets better when we move into Shiori's arc, and finally into the finale of Nayuki/Ayu's arc. Ah...wonderful memories coming back, but 50X better. that said...GOD it pisses me off how much Toei left out in the first adaptation. Almost this entire episode was missing the first time around. Now after seeing KyoAni's take, I finally understand Mai's story, where before it was more "wtf?" And Mai is so much more awesome as a character now, whereas before she was your typical girl. Wow, KyoAni's touch turned an amazing story with flaws into pantheon class. Wonderful. I wonder if KyoAni will succeed in making me tear up this time around (Toei almost did, but not quite) |

| Yeah, I don't know why this wasn't as sad as the first arc though. I guess the first one had more build up of sad moments, rather then BAM -STAB SELF- Besides the fact that she was ok soon after. Seriously though, I was on IRC, "NO WAY, BULLSHIT! (in spoiler colored) Mai Died :(((" a minuter later. "Ah nevermind guys, false alarm." Hahaha. |

| One of the best episodes of Kanon, but that's natural since it's featuring one of Kanon's biggest redeming qualities (Mai Kawasumi). It would have been nice if she had died though, a dramatic end to an arc, but I guess no such thing. Mai needs her own anime. Also the only Raw I have on my computer. I really need to get the raw of the dance episode though. |

| wow this was emotional. my jaw dropped when she killed herself. i was like no way she was actually successful in doing it. and then the tears rolled. this made so much more sense than the 2002 version and so much better :D |
| ... I'm still kind of confused...My expression: O_O; Mai had a combative attitude (the 'i will kill them before they kill me or my friends attitude'). For Mai to kill herself seems like an out-of-character move. What made her hate herself so much that she had to commit suicide? =/ |

It looks like (judging from the preview) we won't see Mai much from now on. Maybe her arc was closed like this in the game, but it would be a waste with an anime format. |

| wow damn this show for killing characters but not killing them... i mean they make these path's to inevitable death only to have, the person be ok, recover, idk i found frustrating more than saddening... maybe i have no heart... it was a shock to see her stab herself but for somereason i felt she was going to do it, but the fact she didn't die was one of those frustrating things, i didn't want her to die, but since they had "killed her" the fact they brough her back with "hope" was well disappointing, i did like her but idk... i guess i'll see how the rest pan out |

| And so the Mai Arc concludes!! Now it all makes sence now! What a miraculous power Mai has! Yet people treated her as some divolic being? They should had treated her like some deity or god and saved the lifes of thounsands, if not millions, of people across the wolrd!! ~Meh, there wouldn't be a Mai arc if that had happened, would there, so never mind that. Although I wonder if Mai could had saved Makoto from her fate... Anyway, 3 more arcs to go. And I rate this episode at 10/10, mixing in Tragedy, and Drama so well is just very touching. I did not shed any tears though, but it really got to me nonetheless. And as I hear, Kyoto did a much better job at both Kanon and Clannad than Toie did, not surprising seeing as they produced Lucky Star and Haruhi no Yuutsu, the latter being a very much liked anime of mine. |
| okay so it turned out ok in the end, I'm glad Mai made it as she's my favorite so far. an interesting explanation I didn't see coming but it all made sense in the end. much bigger improvement over makoto as I didn't like her much. |

| I loved that episode! When Mai was all like, "Thank you..." I was like 'Aww what I cute ending- HOLY *insert two bad words of your choice here* SHE KILLED HERSELF! 0_0" I cried. A lot. Then she came back to life and I wanted to stab my monitor for scaring me like that. It was such an emotional episode. I loves it. =D |
| I loved this arc but to be honest it didn't feel as touched as in the first arc, but thats probadly because personal difference. |

| I loved this episode! Many awesome effects!! Action scenes are the best! Mai's arc changed a little from Toei's Kanon. I think it's much better now! That "hope power" really fits the blanks that were left in Toei's Kanon. All the story about Mai's mother, so sad and awesome... Now everything is fixed! Just want to know what will change in other arcs. He he, that head butt was fun... And that woman in the TV show sure looks odd, like a monster or alien!! lol |

| Hmmm... I have to say... I loved the second half of Makoto Arc while loved the whole Mai arc. I'm a sucker for Mai's type of character, Strong on the outside while weak on the inside. I love that jump slash off the building by Mai, very well animated + her theme song makes the scene look a lot more... Not a word I usually use, but EPIC. Rabbit ears look sad on her when she's wearing it. Maybe because the ears are half hanging, and with the combination of her sad face. Look pretty cute really ^_^ Makoto's arc is definitely sadder, but this arc leaves more afterglow for me. ^_^ Wow, if Kanon keep this up, I really don't know whether Clannad After Story will stay as my favorite anime of all time after I finish this. |

| I really freaked out when Mai stabbed herself. I was ready to bawl, but then..."Hope" came around. :) This was an awesome episode. I loved Mai's arc. Really really awesome job on KyoAni's part. |
