I know that a large portion prefers to watch on TV or PC, and that many also watch on their cell phones since it's more accessible.
But since then, tablet sales have increased significantly; however, I can only find posts about it from 10 years ago.
I wanted to know if anyone else here also enjoys watching anime on a tablet and what the experience is like, if you like it or if it's just because it's what you have.

Obs: Considering that current tablets have screens between 10 and 14 inches and Full HD resolutions. :)

You have been using this site for one year, yet you have only one post. That seems strange. Anyways, I'm pretty sure there are people using tablets for watching anime.

Yes, this is my first post. I've always only used MAL to keep track of the anime I'm watching

I tried using tablet when I was on 2 week work trip away from home, but it was slow enough that I could not get browser open so I tossed it and used my phone instead. One should avoid buying those cheapest tablets on market.

PS. Only having one post is not odd at all. I think my first post was around 5-7 years after making account.

@IrnFox Yes, these old tablets can barely open the Play Store :')

@Zarutaku Do you think so? I mean, I don't know what you consider small. I'm happy with 11-14 inches, which is the size of most current tablets. Where do you usually watch them?

I don't own a tablet, but I do watch on a laptop. Having a bigger screen and more intentionally set aside time is my preference. Like sure, I'll watch a movie on a plane, but then I'm kind of left with an urge to rewatch it.

I love watching things on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+. Very nice screen, lots of storage, great battery, can be held up with a cover to do other stuff while it is playing video on the background...

I pretty much stopped using my phone to watch any type of video media.

@SSUPII oh! I imagine how good it must be on Samsung's AMOLED screens, and the S line is very good :0

I don't do it anymore, but on freezing nights, I used to peek out from under the covers just enough to glance at my tablet.

It might still be a good option For those who want to be pampered by their waifus.

@perseii Seriously? Samsung invested heavily in its S-series tablets, but most people buy them for studying because of the S Pen. However, I think their screens are very good.

Very subjective if you ask me given how chaotic the forums can be, sometimes I regret joining the forums lol.

@Fukoku you have to keep in mind that this is the only relatively safe and legal website. Almost every other social media is likely illegal or a honeypot/scam.

It’s my “bathroom TV.” Nothing elevates a mid-show like watching it while taking a significantly less elegant “episode” of my own.

Last time I remember using a tablet was in, like, 2018.
10 inch Lenovo model with a pretty good screen, bought it just out of curiosity rather than for any practical reason.
Used it for reading books and manga, as well as youtube videos while lying on the sofa.
Never anime or movies though, I can't really get into it unless it's on at least a 15.6 inch laptop display, preferably something even larger.

Also I created this account in 2010 but iirc first posted on the forum in like early 2024 or something due to a simple lack of interest.

@_juuj Motorola is quite a good brand from my experience and is usually more budget friendly too :) I have a Galaxy Tab A7 with a 10,4 inch screen so slightly smaller than yours but it's been good, hasn't really slowed down and lasted me many years

@iThink I see, I notice that most people prefer anime on larger screens, although I find the screen quality of a laptop or PC a bit poor (or maybe I'm just unlucky in that regard)

Exactly lol, I don't understand the problem with not being so active on the forums :')

@Rinrinka Most of the anime I watched was on my phone, which hurt my eyesight a bit :') but there are some anime that I still prefer watching on my phone rather than on a bigger screen. Like slice-of-life anime with simpler art styles, for example. But depending on the phone screen, even more detailed shounen anime can be enjoyable to watch

You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.
