End of a great arc, Cyan was a very interesting character. Much different tone than the previous arcs so far, interested to see where we go from here.

Can’t believe we finally got a happy ending oh my god my baby cyan deserved this!! Brilliant episode and I hope she and Luo go on to lead long and happy lives like their parents wanted for them.

So this episode basically formally introduces us to the concept of Fear which is the antithesis of of Trust. More trust= higher hero ranking, more fear= lower and people giving in to their worst desires. The Dean is such an absolute bitch for trying to pit Luo and Cyan against each other all because she had the audacity to not wanna be his tool and make him rich and popular. If you wanna blame someone for you failing as a hero, blame yourself, don’t take it out on innocent kids you loser.

The studio went so hard on all of cyan’s scenes today omg. The alley scene with her using her bow and arrow for the first was so cool and I love how she incorporates her love of roller skating into her fighting style. If the last two episodes were an introduction to her character, this was more of an introduction to her as a hero and fighter. Seeing her beat the dean was so satisfying

Oh my god the ending!! So the truth behind cyan’s power being that she’s the physical embodiment of all the people who died on the airplane’s hopes and wishes is so fucking sad 😭 it makes me even more annoyed the dean tried turning her and luo against one another because he’s basically fighting his parents’ wish for him to live a long happy life. What a well written arc and nice ending. Loved every moment of this as I knew I would because I love Cyan’s character. We WILL be voting her to the top of the list.

OMG, did we finally, FINALLY get a happy ending? What sorcery is this? Or is this just another part of Cyan's luck at work? Had it been any other Arc something terrible would have happened at the last second I'm sure!

Ain't no way they said Queen lost to a random nobody lol. Overall, a great arc and a good ending. Would've been too predictable if another hero arc ended on a sad note three times in a row.

I won't be writing much about how hard i was sobbing watching this episode or how precious Lucky Cyan is, I leave it to peoples who can write better. So I could focus on my biases.
I absolutly adore we getting more about My OUR Queen. I wish we could see all her fights mentioned in this ep. Especially vs X.

Cyan really is lucky. She was able to save both Luo and the Orphanage and stop all the misfortune that arose from fear. Her first time in the field was epic and I like that she kept the roller blades as part of her hero kit.

The Dean handled everything in the worst possible way. It's no wonder why he didn't make it as a hero. His judgment is very bad. Even so, that fight with Cyan made for an awesome spectacle.

The backstory behind Cyans power being the final wish of all the plane passengers was done really well. The truth easily made me misty-eyed.

The cliffhanger with Shang Chao's dad at the old (new) E-Soul base is very interesting!

Wow, color me surprised. Luo didn't die after all. Or maybe he will in one of the others' arc.

The idea of giving Cyan a bow and arrow is genius, because she doesn't need actual aim. She'll just hit the target because of her luck. Cyan raiding an entire Resident Evil district/city was kinda badass. Like some of the other heroes, her powers seem kind of inconsistent, though. Did she really need that spray can to avoid all the hits? It was a cool concept, but she has literally changed entire people's lives back when she had lower trust value. Then again, avoiding the hits could be a matter of life/death each time, so it probably took a bunch of luck to avoid them.

Also, the plane scene felt kinda forced. Why did all the passengers believe Cyan would survive the plane crash? It didn't look like the other passengers were even paying attention to her. But all of a sudden, all of them are dumping their hopes/wishes on this one random infant already assuming she'd survive. Or maybe they did it knowing about the effect of trust and wanted to save at least Cyan, as a last act of selflessness.

So I'm guessing the ending scene's implications is Shang Chao's dad was already looking into fear way before Shang's death? Was it also a part of his plan? Or was that scene actually after Shang died?

Oh wow, everyone seems to have liked this one. It was fine, but, I think it's probably the most underwhelming conclusion to any of the arcs so far. I don't know. Maybe they just set the bar too high but this didn't have the weight of the Nice/E-Soul climaxes for me. Maybe not as much intrigue coming out of it as those two did, anyway.

NO WAY A HAPPY ENDING??? IM CRYING, Im so glad my boi Luo survived, and I hope that its real.

Cyan's transforming guitar and bow is so cool! I didn't even thought of using it as a blunt weapon until she did it lol (I might be dumb).

If you are lucky then that means someone else wasn't, the rule of equivalent exchange huh.. but all those misfortunes only happened because the people believed in it, this is a world where words hold power after all.
Cyan's luck wasn't given to her at birth, her luck is the combination of people's hope, she didn't kill those passengers because she brought them misfortune, she was saved by those people by giving her luck.
And I feel like no one was in the wrong here, the orphanage just became the center of everyone's fear. But still, they get what they deserved for using Cyan in the past.

X made another cameo and the news said Queen was defeated by him, maybe at this time it is when X just became #1 (X) ?

Shang De (Shang Chao's father and Treeman's CEO) came to the old warehouse used by Shang Chao and Yang Cheng, possibly looking for fear? what does that have to do with E-Soul?

Also was it just me or some of the voice sounded weird in this episode (was watching jp dub), there are subtitles of Cyan speaking (that made sense in the situation) but I didn't even hear her.

@Magicmist I don't get why Cyan had to get that drive containing the information about the plane crash from the dean. Wouldn't the reporter still have a copy of it with him before he gave it to his friend!?
It's like the reporter and that other guy of the hero corporation expected everything until now to happen as they imagined it .

Will not talk about graphic,music.. But surely its worst arc by story and pacing. Idk who storyboard director who lead it, its certainly too rushed. I dont know how link click director make this dissapointed episode. No good pacing, story is bland, fight is meh, nothing really stand. Different with lin xing episode. I dont see feeling except the epilogue. 6/10 for this episode

I like that we've been getting way more traditional animation in this arc rather than the Arcane-style look that dominating the prior arcs.

Not that it was bad or anything, quite the opposite. But this animation is so good on its own that I kept wanting to see more of it!

@THE_BigDingus according to the story , its probably because The "Lin ling" arc and "E soul" arc takes place after "X" Became the New X , he probably got His powers to change to 2d and 3d after he became X . In All of the remaining arcs the animation is going to be completely 2d except The dog ( ep 23 ) and X ep ( 24 ep ) cuz thats when X became the new X and got the powers to change 2d and 3d.

This was a great arc and I can't wait for the next one. Seeing the arc come full circle and how they connected it with little foreshadows was amazing. This arc had amazing action and emotional moments. I wonder what they mean by the next hero's power is fear because I wonder if it will have a scary and unsettling tone!!

It's just unfortunate that Dean, who was someone working for the good of the people and spreading happiness to all, ended up in the worst place. Instead of producing heroes, he himself became a villain.

Poor Luo was told the harsh truth about his parents' death. It's understandable why doubt would grow about how Cyan's power works. And with the worst force now coming to light, Fear, which is similar to Trust that creates good, it brings destruction.

It made my heart heavy with emotion as I heard how the collective souls, who were about to die, wished for Cyan to survive.

What was the ending about though? If this is the end of Cyan's arc, then the ending might be showing how things lead into E-Soul's arc. Maybe the next could be Queen's arc!?

@Nouzen_Chainsaw don't think that's the case cuz when Yang chang parents died and Old E-Soul saved yang chang in the year 20 After Commission (which is like atleast 3 years before the Plane Crash)

So that dismiss the X theory

Lucky Cyan was so lucky, she was able to avoid a cliffhanger ending.

The idea that "your luck is someone else's loss" is clearly a reference to 内卷 – "involution" / "inwards spiral", which is a concept that seriously affects Chinese youth today. Basically, it's the idea that competition in job searching, academics, and more is an "inwards spiral": when everyone tries to be better than the competition, the competition itself gets harder because everyone is trying to be more competitive. And for no good reason as well: if people weren't overly competitive, young people would not need so many qualifications to get entry-level jobs. It's interesting how Lucky Cyan's entire character is about life not being a zero-sum game.

This felt to me like the most underwhelming conclusion so far, probably because of the weird pacing in this episode. We didn't ever feel like Cyan had any character struggles because we never really got to see any consequences; as a result, I couldn't get emotionally invested in this episode at all. It's a shame: Cyan's arc could have explored so many different concepts because it's so tonally different from the arcs of Lin Ling and Yang Cheng.

Finally, I love how Queen and Lucky Cyan interact. The relative lucky-go-happiness of Lucky Cyan must be nice for Queen, who seems pretty uptight all the time.

HOLY SHIT, HAPPY ENDING?!

LUO DIDN'T DIE?!

HUZZAH!

I was legit waiting for someone to just shoot Luo in the head at the end there, but we actually got a happy ending. The orphanage got revived too. I guess with the perception of people on Lucky Cyan's luck being corrected, she's no longer sucking the luck out of people for herself, though they caused that themselves.

Can't wait for Queen.

Interesting episode, pretty solid assumed conclusion to a good character's arc, but the pacing was all over the place with quite a few overly convenient moments that somewhat make sense for Cyan but also don't really feel too good to watch. Not a big fan of the sprinkler system somehow making the destroyed computer function but it is what it is.

A HAPPY ENDING!!!!! LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO!!!!

I totally thought they were going to kill Luo last second like Moon ending it with a death cliff hanger. Like right before they shake hands someone like E-soul shoots Luo in the head.

Luo you had like a .01% chance of survival but you managed to actually survive. Is this the power of Lucky Cyans luck? Also looks like everyones theory that she got luck from the plane passengers was true. Also though seeing that flash back there doesn't seem to be any heroes there? so was it really just an accident?

Now then we see now this is how the power of "fear" is officially recognized. We also see Mr. Shang in the end looking into fear as well? He shows up at the place his son and Yang Chang used to use? I wonder what is he trying to do? Revive his son?

Anyways looking forward to seeing Queens story next episodes. I wonder if we'll see her fight with X and others in the tournament?

Pretty much guessed the entire thing. That what he told Luo was related to that plane crash and that everyone had it backwards and everyone in the plane entrusted Cyan with their hopes which led to her good fortune. Because the main concept of hero and power comes from people's trust value in this show. But still the general people believe anything and want to blame their own doings on others. That said I'm glad Luo survived and they got their happy end. But but Nice and E-soul...

Gotta love how everyone treat a zombie apocalypse like a traffic jam problem.
@phantomfandom

My thoughts exactly xD everyone was either ignoring it or simply was like "yeah, just avoid going there"

No quarantine, no other heroes, no police barricades, nothing. Just ignore the zombies and hope they won't spread to other parts of the city lol
Firm man's single wolf enemy caused more heroes to get deployed than a literal zombie apocalypse. So strange.

And they trusted this area to be saved by a hero who hasn't fought a single battle yet... it felt sooooo rushed to see her suddenly use the bow without any previous training. At least Lin Ling had to do Nice's workout program and Yang Cheng went boxing & equipment testing. Seeing Cyan be able to fight out of nowhere felt... undeserved? I don't know how to articulate it. Nothing against the girl, but when exactly did she learn how to shoot arrows?
