| Mappa already destroyed s1 so let's get through it, maybe if we write down all our nightmares, we will be calmer when we watch the movie and see the train wreck of an adaptation. I start first: - blood kiss is censored - action OST is bland - cgi all over the place - they cut the manga lines in favor of some cringe hollywood romance lines because hey, chainsaw man is cinematic - they cut all of denji's simping for makima in favor of him thinking about life |

I am from the start, I'm up to date, and I never understood the criticism of the "lack of essence of the manga" when it was Fujimoto himself who wanted an adaptation like this. In the end the director was harassed, we know he won't come back, and in the end the huge majority liked season 1... it's too strange. |

| Mappa won't ruin anything because this arc is peak fiction and they already got rid of Ryu Nakayama, a.k.a the worst director of all time who single-handedly is to blame for everything that went wrong with season 1 (it was still good, just not as good as it should have been). We will ALL be watching this masterpiece movie with enhanced animation, superior art style, upgraded colors, and objectively better direction. Feels good to be a GOATsaw Man and Reze enjoyer. |

They literally hate his guts. (Which is a bit of an exaggeration imo, I somewhat liked his movie-esque vision, but overall he's indeed a mediocre director.) |

| As usual, anime fans being completely illiterate about the fact that it’s the staff that are responsible for a show’s style & most of its creative decisions, because I guess having parasocial relationships with literal buildings (the only things consistent between a studio’s productions) is more important than bothering to look up who’s working on a show. Also, the director for CSM S1 already left the series, so theorizing about creative decisions based on those taken by S1 is a fundamentally incorrect way of looking at it. Also, obligatory L + Ratio + Touch Grass + S1 was great |

| @Fischer77 Nothing was "fixed" because there was nothing to be fixed anyway. Sugiyama's designs for the series were already perfect, if you think that is "shitty" you need a serious meeting with an oftalmologist. |
