| Some people I'm in a discord server in talked about Bocchi the Rock! when it first came out but I wasn't really watching anime back then so I kind of dismissed it + "do I really have the same anime tastes as these folks?" Fast forward to 2024, a discord friend messaged me that he watched Bocchi the Rock! and he really enjoyed it, said it's just a fun series. "You can't hate Bocchi, who on earth hates Bocchi?". I was a tiny bit hesitant since this was back in February and I was still slowly dipping my toes into different anime genres, "is CGDCT a genre I'm going to like?" I gave a different CGDCT genre anime a try just to test the waters on the genre. ("South Pole anime" -> A place further than the universe/ Sora Yori mo Tooi Basho) and I loved that series I gave it a 9/10. So I gave Bocchi the Rock! a try in Feb (and I've watched it once gave it a 9/10 - maybe this was because I thought I was "burnt out" on the CGDCT genre + "am I being too harsh with my rating?"). I re-watched it later on after a week or so (and after an anime or 2) and then I gave it a 10, I love this show a bunch - it's great. ---------------- Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood |
