the manga doesn’t pick up for awhile so these 12 episodes probably won’t adapt most of the great things that happen so this first cour will end up being kinda meh

It is a fast paced series. Don’t expect MAPPA to do any wonders.

The reality is that it won't adapt any of the best arcs of the story. The beginning is great but it has 4 20/10 arcs after this season. So it's too bad we won't get them animated until probably years later.

it sucks, many great series used to air until they were done, it's just weird in my head that a relatively short manga can't get 3 cours and get it done with, if time was the problem they could just postpone or make hiatuses, which doesn't seem to be the case since they had a trailer of stuff far off the start over a year ago

there will be just one season gap like spy x family part 1 was in spring and part 2 is in fall

similar chainsaw man part 1 will be in fall and part 2 will be in spring season there won't be much gap

Rumors say that after this 12 episode season 1 we will have to wait until next October (2023) to get another season although I hope it's a 2 cour or even more .

And the quality of those series is crap compared to what CSM will be. I’d rather have 12 episodes of amazing content rather than 36 episodes of mid. And it’s better they space it out cause otherwise we’d be waiting at least 3 years before part 2 of the manga has enough content to adapt

Well, I think these 12 ep will be only the first cour of the show and will adapt the first arc (Katana Man arc) which is 39 chapters.

I think they will adapt the next two arcs (Bomb Girl and International Assassins ) which is 13+18=31 chapters in another 12 ep.

And the last two arcs of the first part of the manga (Gun Devil and Control Devil) (9+18=27) in another 12 ep.

So, the show will have 3 cours and about 36 ep in total.

The problem is that we don't know when the second cour will air (hope we don't have to wait till 2024)

My bet is that we will get a movie adapting the Reze arc in August-September 2023, and a second season of 13 episodes adapting the rest of Part 1 in October 2024.

It is not a “minor problem”. Parts decide the season, ruin hype and the flow of the work. I would rather wait another year for the full adaptation.

Part 2 is just being serialised and the chapters will drop in the same day as the episodes air, and if anything part 2 will probably last for another year at the very least, not to mention that the first cour will most likely adapt half of part 1, so until then it'll increase the popularity of it and at the same time give them time to properly adapting the rest of part 1 which is not easy to make in 2 consecutive cours, especially with a OPM S1 quality fights and movie quality compositing and direction
I also wanted 2 consecutive cours but we should be realistic sometimes and support them fairly

Yeah I thought the same, it'll be amazing and very profitable for every soul working on this project lol
And most importantly the hype will never die, people will kill eachother for watching the movie while waiting for the rest of part 1 adapted

My only concern with 12 episodes is the story being rushed and not fleshing out all the good moments. I know the series is fast paced but there's a lot to unpack.

12 episodes is avarage. If an anime gets 24 episodes, its amazing for that anime. With so much animation put into the it, you should consider to realize an anime isnt just if not 24 episodes, they dont love it. Time and effort. Its like AOT that haves a one year making scheduel for every part which is so stupid btw, just take time Mappa!!!!! But uear wouldnt you rather have amazing animation with 12 episodes, or would have a rushed animation for 24 episodes? I dont even know that another season will come just next year. And the forst part isnt bad :( tho i do agree that the second part will be cooler 0o0 <3

also if Fmab and HxH still have little to no issues regarding production quality, and it's no shock a two decade old production may not be as stunning as jump's newest bet
