Well so things I really liked.....The beginning with Sawako suddenly crying and remembering that she should not so she began to force stop herself. After Kazehaya's blush was good. And so my favorite Sawako moment=>
<img src="http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt288/francismeunier/number%20two/224e6855.gif" border="0" />
I found that Joe and Ayase look good together but was more funny that Ryuu told Joe he had holes in his jacket because of the fire...rofl at Joe's panic. Really too bad for Joe that the parents took him by force.....should have been more assertive that he is with Ayase...>_< And so a GIF of Joe was a good moment one=>
Really liked the way the part with Kazehaya/Sawako ringing the bell on New Year's.....good moment. During the fortune paper......Kazehaya's was quite the lucky but too bad that Sawako got that bad luck but it still has something worthy of it.
And so made of combination GIF of Sawako but not sure it's good=>
<img src="http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt288/francismeunier/number%20two/de15db47.gif" border="0" />
Pin moment was good too when he saved Ayase from the glass guy and that other guy......the surprise they had for each other was funny too. Really liked they showed the place where Sawako/Kazehaya met for the first time in winter as well as the other parts of the town during winter. These were really good Pin moments GIFs with first scaring those guys then a little argument between Pin/Ayase=>
And so ends one of the most purest of animes I have on my list.....really so sad...this episode was good but it pains me that such great animes are few around that I have seen. I will follow up on people's advice of seeing Nana and Skip Beat but I am not sure there will be that ambiance this anime was showing. Mother feeding Father from the Sawako family shows a excellent view of how Sawako/Kazehaya might enjoy their family in the future......Kazehaya does sometimes act a little like the father=>
A very good ending to one of my all time loved shoujo anime. This one is right there at the top with other great shoujo anime like Honey and Clover, Nana, Skip Beat and Ouran koukuo Hostclub.
I do hope they make a season 2 of this anime, like I said, most of the best shoujo anime out there end up having no sequel to them that they deserve.
It remain kinda open ended, but you can surely see the couples in the making are sawako-kazehaya, chizu-ryuu and surprisingly ayane-pin.
but regardless, this anime has been by far, one of the most heart warming romance genre anime of all time and will always be in my all time favorite list.

Didn't watch with subs, but I could understand most what they were saying.
What the hell. No confession? It just ends? Aggghh, that bothers me a lot. >:/
Still, a nice episode. Wonder if this means a season two.
Hope there's 2nd season (well there's live-action movie coming out so far).
Sawako said she will change next year, and Kazehaya said she is changing in good way. Sawako cried after hearing that and kind of beared not to cry it out. Then she told him to wait 3 sec. to stop crying.
Kazehaya said the impression has been good from the beginning. He mentioned Sawako's smile when he first met her. After that, he don't see her smile anymore. (She thought he won't remember the time they first met.) He thought she's a good person, and she was more good than he thought. (She couldn't believe that he would think of her a good person.) Today, she changed too much that he felt nervous. She was shocked and said sorry for scaring him too much. (lol) Kazehaya said not that meaning! Kazehaya wanted to say something but is blushing, so he said nevermind at the end.
He said let's go to the temple since it's almost new year. While walking, Sawako thinks that it's might be true she's changing. She remembers what Yano said when she and Yoshida did make over for her. She said (to Yano) that there's only answer. Kazehaya is thinking, with blushing, that she's more cute that he thought to the extend that he's complicated. Then they are walking side by side.
Sawako said at first, she wanted to be like Kazehaya, and now she wanted him think of her cute just a little.
Yano, who is dark, with that guy, who is bright (in feeling), and Ryuu is watching that. He asked Yoshida how long should that last. She said who knows, until that guy give up on her? Ryuu said he's going to go home. Then he told that guy that the jacket(?), which he just newly bought, has lots of holes from the fire. Yano told Yoshida to go along because she didn't explain to him anything. Then left Yano and that guy alone, even though that guy is sad about the holes on brand new jacket, but is happy about being alone with Yano, who is dark again.
When Yoshida caught up with him, Ryuu said it's too stupid that he cannot go with them. Yoshida said he should smile more, so she told him to say "chii" (her nickname and the shape of smile). Ryuu said no. He said whoever Sawako meet, Kazehaya will do something (referring to trying to get the guy's attention). Yoshida said ah, that's true. Just leave them alone, they are having too much fun, he said. Yoshida said she just want to see it. Ryuu continues, also if she's worried, there's no need because they are doing well. And they saw them lining up together for new year. Then they smiled together. So, he's going to have a cup of sweet sake then go home. Yoshida said he's going to accompany her.
Everyone's saying happy new year! Then Kazehaya and Sawako said the new year greeting to each other. Then, there are messages for Sawako from Yano and Yoshida. Kazehaya suggested her to reply them. Kazehaya is thinking that there are people who did message earlier than him, oh well. He said thanks to them because he's having fun being with her.
Yoshida told Ryuu Sawako gave her reply! Yano is also reading her reply. (Not reading out loud but they are happy with her final sentence "Thank you very much")
Hatsumoude begins while Sawako thinking there are so many first times. She had fun because she met everyone. It has become an unforgettable year last year.
After that, Kazehaya is leading her for not tripping from the slippery stairs.
Ryuu told Yoshida said his brother will come briefly here, with his fiance. Yoshida said he hasn't remember her name, hasn't he? He said ah. Yoshida reminded him that her name is Haruka. Try to remember her name since she's going to be sister-in-law. Then she said she will go visit them. While praying, Yoshida said if there's anything happens to Ryuu, she will try to make him happy. Ryuu smiled and said he will leave her do so then.
Kazehaya suggested to get the omikuji (wishing paper). Kazehaya got super lucky but when he read that always ask for people's opinion, he said he doesn't have any confidence for doing so (he doesn't say anything about love). Then Sawako got very unlucky. Especially her love was... do not get confused? Kazehaya saw her omikuji, too, and said it's rare. When she put her omikuji on the tree along with others, Kazehaya gave his to her. She said it's kind of feels like getting his luckiness out, so no. He doesn't mind getting his luckinees away from her. He said he's strong anyway, and wants to give her (So many blushing). Maybe it's too little of a b-day gift.
She was confused about love, and why she could be with Kazehaya just for admiration.
That guy is enjoying the moment alone with Yano, who is dark. Fortunately for Yano (unfortunately for that guy), his mother found him and got him away along with his father. Yano is enjoying the moment alone, and pray that God will delete the moment with that guy. She's walking alone and saw Kazehaya and Sawako getting omikuji. She said no omikuji, then. She said they look like a normal couple now. Then she heard voices of stupid people.
It was the spiky hair guy who is complaining about Tooru who's going with his girlfriend. Then he saw two guys talking to a girl, actually Yano. He saved her. Then Yano realized it was Pin... and realized that the stupid guy was him!! Then they are going to the same way and Pin thought she's following him, actually she's going home.
Kazehaya and Sawako are walking home together. (Wow, Kazehaya is such an environmental person for getting the empty can from the ground (snow) and throw it into the trash can)
They walked to the way they normally walk to school and Kazehaya pointed the place where they met each other. Sawako thinks what kind of year she'll be waiting.
Ryuu and Yoshida walking together (with ED begins). He got sweet sake that he wanted, with Yoshida.
(Just a rumor (or just someone saying lie in say-move.org), but someone said 2nd season is April 5, 2011.)
Yano told Pin that there might be something comes out in a mansion.
At another temple, Kurumi is getting omikuji (different kind) with her friends. She's not telling them what she got.
Tomo-chan and other friends are buying foods and met guys.
Sawako's parents are waiting (with her brother? sleeping), and enjoying their moments.
Then Kazehaya suggested to move on. Kazehaya got Sawako back to her house safely. They told each other that they had fun. Then Kazehaya said goodbye.
Kazehaya is walking alone, and thinking something he's not having confidence of.
Sawako saw the love part, and it was sharing (that's why he gave her his omikuji). She's thinking of Kazehaya... classmate, seat next to each other... not very like friend. He's more than friend. She's becoming more greedy than just being a friend. He's a person she likes.
Kimitodo with the announcer singing ED. She said manga is still continuing, so it's depends on everyone's request for 2nd season. She's going to do another regular show!
I ♥Two Syaorans from Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and TRC!!!
Aww... I was hoping for more character development, but it's a good ending still. There at least was some kind of conclusion for Kazehaya and Sawako. Even though nothing really happened, at least deep down inside, they admit they are in love. Pin was funny, as always. I like Ryuu's attitude, as always, lol.
Well, this series started off very promising, but after the Kurumi arc, the whole story suffered from lack of growth and extreme cheesiness. I thought of dropping it at one point, but it did ended nicely. I'll give it a 7/10 after averaging out the good moments with the extremely cheesy ones. I don't mind a second season, as long as something actually happens.
This is also one of the rare anime that made me wonder what my life would have been life if I had experienced high school romance... but meh, I guess in the end, I could (and do) live without it. It certainly does sound like it would have made a nice memory though.
Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.
Eh... There probably will be a season 2, but not sure if want. In the beginning, I'll admit that things were pretty cute, but things got a little too repetitive, and the atmosphere felt just extra shoujo (unnecessarily so)... In the end I guess I feel that KnT was too pure and sparkly. Feeling generous, 7/10
Don't expect a confession until the end of a second season, and a kiss at the end of a third. That is if you don't get sick of the constant 'misunderstandings' first. The slow pacing associated with KnT may eat at you after a while.
Loved: Art style, animation, voice acting, and fabulous.
Hated: Repetitiveness, overall storyline plateau, powerful emotions that fell shallow, and Kazehaya.
It was the spiky hair guy who is complaining about Tooru who's going with his girlfriend.
So it was Tooru in that crowd? So he is already in town for New Years.

Quite surprised by that but also pleased with Kazehaya having such a attitude.

No matter how many sparkles you put into this anime it is still a pretty basic Shoujo anime. Actually the series was starting to get really repetitive towards the end. Disappointing that there was no real development between the two. Yet at the same time really sweet. Though even though this anime had a lot of basic Shoujo elements used in how you would have expected them the supporting cast really made this a truly great series and one that I love. If it wasn't for the side characters well this show would just not be as enjoyable. This is indeed one of the better Shoujo series out there because it has a wide cast of enjoyable characters and the comedy just was really great I think I laughed almost every episode of this thing.
I give this a 9/10
Really though. . . they needed to show less sparkles I think if I had a dollar for every time I saw one in this anime I think I would be rich.
Very beautiful ; ; as was all the series...i really hope news on season 2 appears soon>I really want production I.G. to make season 2 after some more manga chapters appear.
For the first time in 25 episodes, I'm taking points off for the pacing. The pure happiness factor has offset that until now, but I just can't take it anymore. The Sawako-Kazehaya relationship was clear as day from the beginning of the series. And for 25 episodes, we have watched as they completely failed to develop that relationship. Sawako as a character developed for sure, but their relationship at the beginning of the show was minimally different than it was at the end. I don't give a shit what's in the manga. This is no way to end an anime. If they had given us ANYTHING to work with, my heart would have exploded with joy and I'd easily have another 10/10 for my list. But they pulled the same bullshit dance they've pulled throughout the entire show, and absolutely nothing is different. For a disappointing ending that was extremely frustrating to watch, 9/10.
...It's a weird feeling, negatively ranting about one of your favorite shows of all time XD

IMO it was obvious they were leading towards a second season since just Kazehaya was contemplating something about not have esteem.......that esteem will be most likely the key to the confession.....apparently the manga is....
Maybe around 8 episodes ago or so I began to lose the feel of characters emotions. It just dragged on from there. The plot and the story is basic textbook stuff but the execution is excellent.
Maybe if I watched this about 100 completed series ago I might like it more. Overall, 7/10, but I expected a little more from this.

I agree, at the end of the Kurumi arc it was 9/10 but it became very repetitious only slightly saved by the Chizu and Ayane they're why I'll still give it 8/10
Aww.
I thought last episode was a bit too slowly paced, but it made this week excellent.
Although I loved the ending, i'm hoping the slight open-endedness of it all (although obviously it wasn't THAT open) means a second season could be on the way?
But nevermind, i'm off to read the manga now.
10/10 - Maybe it wasn't perfect, but it made me forget to breathe a lot of the time and that's what counts to me.
EDIT: Dammit, didn't notice the last option on the poll!
It was a good shoujo, but that's it. I'd say its strongest points were the voice acting (which was excellent) and the animation. The main problem was the oh so slow progression of their relationship (and Sawako's character development; hell, it felt like it regressed a couple of times, even) and of course my main gripe with the shoujo genre in general: the humour, which always has to take the edge off the more dramatic scenes.
But overall, I enjoyed this show and it absolutely needs a second season. I give it a solid 7/10.
IMO it was obvious they were leading towards a second season since just Kazehaya was contemplating something about not have esteem.......that esteem will be most likely the key to the confession.....apparently the

Shit....I did not think it was that bad since I did not say anything that would spoil and it was mentioned before.....>_< I just though I would say it.
Ending was a bit anti-climatic, you'd at least expect them to kiss, especially when they were at the same crossing where they met each other a year ago. But it leaves a nice opening for a second season, so I'd like to set my hopes on one.
All the snow really made me feel chilly. Animation was superb again.
Too bad it's over now, but I'm not completely sad about it or have a feeling that I will miss it. I guess there weren't enough changes in the pacing for that. It just kind of manages to drag on.. but with no real conclusion.
Hm.

It looks like my opinion has been repeated a few times already. I can't say that the series was terrible because of Kazehaya and Sawako's lack of emotional development, but I can say that I'm actually more interested now in what's going to happen with Chizuru and Ryuu. It seems to me that there relationship is the one that has become the most interesting. Kazehaya and Sawako should have kissed in or confessed to each other in the stary night episode towards the beginning. If they would have added some drama to the series then, their relationship would have been a lot more interesting than this drawn out version. You can't keep eluding to development and then just continue to put it off for the convenience of the elongation of the franchise. I like many others was bored ten episodes ago.

Make that 200 completed series ago for me. I really enjoyed the art, the music was beautiful but the story got stale. 7.75/10 for now, but it could change if the next series is a masterpiece. I'm calling it, there will definitely be a season two. I'm thinking probably Winter or Spring 2011 maybe sooner depending on Blu-ray and dvd sales in Japan and elsewhere.
Personally, I'm glad they didn't give it an anime-only ending, with a confession and whatnot, leaves the possibility open for a second series...and it would have felt wrong, to me, when the anime's been so good about sticking to the manga all the way through.
It was the spiky hair guy who is complaining about Tooru who's going with his girlfriend.

No dear, Kazehaya's brother was sleeping with Maru waiting for him. Also that guy's name is Joe dear....maybe you forgot it.
No. Like desolato said, I don't think Tooru is in the crowd. It was Pin (spiky hair guy), who is in the crowd complaining about Tooru, who is going to be with his girlfriend. (and thanks for reminding with the post about who the Tooru is. I couldn't remember the names of those who don't appear a lot ... I think this personality is like Ryuu). Also, like Ryuu said, Tooru WILL be coming shortly (not sure if he came yet).
Also, I'm not sure who Tomo-chan was with.
Also, thanks for reminding about Joe, I really forgot. I'm really not good at remembering characters' names.
I ♥Two Syaorans from Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and TRC!!!
Overall, the series had well done Romance, and a couple of funny moments (mostly with Pin)... However, the rest of the time, it was quite boring. Never liked the animation from episode 1 either...
Pfft, I so knew Pin was going to appear. They're gonna be canon soon.
Also, Chizu/Ryuu! Yay.
The ending was delivered nicely, and without too many vomit-inducing bubbles, so it upped the score a little. But overall...it really wasn't a great series and I still don't get all the hype it got xP

really enjoyed the series, even though it was fairly cliched and textbook as far as plot and characters go but i still loved it.
ending was fairly unsatisfying, classic "let's just imply shit so we don't piss some people off". If there is a second season unless its a mini series of 6 episodes i can't see it going particularly well, be either them getting together and running into fairly sitcom misunderstandings or just more slow paced inability to confess
I loved the series, even though everything is 'too perfect' as in: beautiful girl meets gorgeous/perfect boy.
I didn't expect the ending though...
8/10 because it's a nice serie, but too perfect and without something every romance serie needs. ;)
I was longing for a cute kiss between sawako/kazehaya, because that's what a real romance serie needs. I hope there will be a second season since they're all talking about: what will happen next year...
(I hate an open ending :x)
HATED the ending. WTF? The LEAST they could've done was confess to each other. The series didn't move at all. Since the begining to the end, Sawako and Kazehaya's relationship stood still.
And it started out so beautifully...the ending was SUCH a letdown. The whole time I was silently wishing 'confess...confess..confess'.
And right at the end too....he just walked away without saying anything. Open ends...urgh.

enjoyable series, even if it was a bit too innocent and sweet (at this pace expect the first kiss when they're both about 25 ). What really made this series for me is that Kazehaya was not the typical shojo lead (re: a frigid asshole whom the oh-so-sweet heroine changes to something a tad less abusive) and that the side characters got a lot of spotlight, which fleshed them out quite nicely.
Best moments:
Kazehaya changing desks at the beginning to sit with Sawako
the entire Ryu x Chizu arc
Pin turning down Kurumi

There´s no comparison NANA and skip beat are in other level in everything, both are josei, kimitodo is shojo
T____T you know... the manga is still ongoing right? its not like the story just ended there. and given the popularity of the anime, im going to make a very highly educated guess there will be a second season. the anime went up until around chapter 24 of the manga, so when the manga reaches a high enough chapter count (its at, what, 45 now?), we will see a season two. so everybody chill, and dont f-ing hate because the ending actually follows the manga, and i HATE animes that make up their own endings.
