| The whole point of this was to teach us no matter what, some things are unchangeable. It maybe your habits, the way you talk, the way you act or the way you think. And for our mc it was his way of living, he was so used to the way of his living that when it changed he wasn't able to accept it and ended it. |
| Unsatisfaying and dark twist right after it gave an impression that it was going to end happy and well resolved, which at the same time gave quiten an impression that i liked due to the bleak implications. His father eventually got back to his old habits/ways of treating him, his grades decreased even more than before, he grew distant of his female friend and the other genius male friend eventually moved out and he eventually killed himself as more despair and pressure piled on. Was it exagerated how the dad only wanted a 100? yes, but it served well enough for the sake of the story. Such a "bad" ending for the mc landed good for me, even if it would have worked better in the sense of wrapping up if the story ended with just him saying that it is ok for him to enjoy atleast fully what he had, with the "right"? ending the manhwa before the ant came again to torment him, would be ambiguous and satisfaying. What complemented the story was also how good the dark art was, good black and white shades and style with atmospheric charm |
