DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- lol ranma got in a pinch because of his four girl harem. i think ukyo and ryoga would do a good couple. their personalities are somewhat similar, and they act in almost the same way when they get nervous or embarrassed. |
| Yeah! I'm glad Ukyo finally made a showing again, I like a heck of a lot more than Kodachi who is in every other episode. Need More Spatula!! Good Episode, not as much comedy but an enjoyable watch. |

| Objectively Ukyo should be the best chef because she's actually cooking every day. Shampoo should be 2nd simply by learning from her grandmother, but she's mostly doing delivery service. Kodachi has servants for cooking, so she shouldn't be that good. And Akane is obviously catastrophic lol |
| According to broadcast order, this should've been episode 69 (nice) but for whatever reason Viz put it as episode 63 in their original DVD release. Oh, well. (Source: Ranma fandom site) This episode had Ucchan so I decided to watch this first before watching episodes 63-68 according to broadcast order. Oh boy, how I longed for Ukyo! Ukyo is definitely the most underrated girl so far. She's barely in the show and even after being introduced she got set aside very fast. It's strange cos by far she's the most decent suitor for Ranma. She's not too violent, doesn't get into meaningless fights with Ranma, actually embraces his cursed nature, doesn't misunderstand him, holds no grudges and most importantly she doesn't get jealous. Definitely the sweetest of the bunch too. And in this episode as a bonus, she also embraced her feminine side instead of cosplaying as Ryuunosuke. Too bad the animation of this episode was horrible. The animation itself looked stiff and the character drawings were ridiculous. It somewhat took away from the enjoyment. Happosai was also surprisingly decent this episode so that makes this whole episode feel weird. Anyways, would like to see more Ucchan even if it doesn't involve Ranma and the others. |

| Very confused about the order of the episodes. Ukyo is easily the best girl and this episode proves it. She is fun to be around, especially when trying to be more girly. But I find the whole cooking competition is just pointless. More Ukyo in an episode is definitely much better than none. |

| This one is moved around for some reason here on MAL, I see that this was apparently 63 on Viz’ DVD but I have their Bluray and it’s 69 which is the original airing order, and I’ve been doing the airing order up to this point so why stop now. And what a great episode this was, it was very focused on the babes of Ranma 1/2 not counting Ranma himself, especially Ukyo because she started being more feminine at school. Imo, I like her tomboy look more but I can’t deny the greatness when she embraced her girly side, all the guys in class were feeling it there lol, almost reminds me of the treatment Lum gets in Urusei Yatsura. And it ended up coming down to a cooking competition, but due to the constant meals from the girls, Ranma was unable to pick a winner, and also because he got beat up lol. But, despite there being no winner, Ranma had a sweet moment with Ukyo later when he ate her okonomiyaki and told her he likes her best how she usually is, besides the fact he got smacked by a spatula immediately after this was a rare Ranma W when it comes to the women in his life lol, and this also makes Ukyo the real winner imo. And lastly, as it was pointed it out by someone else, Happosai was surprisingly chill this episode, maybe he was on meds or something lol. |
