back about the possible "shadow", in the words of ep 11 preview, there is one particular sentense that retained my attention:

I highly doubt the shadow is Kanade or her copy.

I thought Maeda would actually succeed in making me feel some form of sympathy towards Cockroach this ep, but guess I was wrong. It wasn't so bad until that Hinata x Cockroach romance got so absolutely fucking shoehorned in. I never had gripes with such things until now. I mean, seriously? This is the worst episode so far. Well, Cockroach is no more and we have some new plot advancements at the end.

EDIT: Oh hey, I just thought about this. Just like a cockroach, it takes so much work to get rid of her =D.

D: Noooooo Yui don't disapear!! She was my favorite female character. T_T
Damn you Otanashi, couldn't you have picked a less interesting character to kill off...

Great NOW who's gonna be the next lead singer, Yui had the best voice.

Really can't wait for the next episode with that preview. :O
How they're gonna manage this anime in 3 more episodes I have no idea.. >_>

woaah they knew EACH OTHER?!?!?!?!?

Did not.

Yui has been stucked to her bed since she was little, she wanted to be able to move and even more than that she really wanted to be loved which was her real regret all along.
She though that nobody would care for a girl like her except her mother, which she felt guilty depending so much upon. She lived her life like that watching TV all days long wondering how nice it would be to be able to move to finally die.

In the afterlife she could move, this probably fullfiled a good part of her wish but deep inside she still wanted to be loved and for someone to care about her.

She then met Hinata, both were interested about each other but because they are so alike tend to pick on each others a lot and even tough it wasn't all that clear they started to develop feeling for each other.
Hinata told her that he would like her no matter what, that was really important for her and they started wondering how their lives would have gone if they would have met each other when they were alive.
They liked each other, they wished they had met before but this was enough to erase Yui's regret so that she move on.

I'm a sucker for story like those and I found it sad that the moment they told each other their feeling they were teared apart, must be hard on Hinata.

As for Hinata I get the impression that he knows what Otonashi is doing and that he agree with him, it must be hard for him but it's for the best for Yui since this world is only a psychological hell where one can only stay by having a regretfull and sinfull life.

Wow... That made me feel melancholic... They were together when they died, but the other one left before the other...

Great episode for YuixHinata fans. If they're going to show reincarnations of people in the real world, then I would like to see them together again.

Shit got realer.

Sigh, this is... sigh.
Angel Beats ending cliff hangers pisses me off.

I'm actually gonna miss Yui, actually. The two of them are really adorable, but I'm surprised that this show was focused on one by one getting rid of the characters, since we only got rid of two so far.

Next episode looks good..

keys is delivering at their best ! comedy, drama, romance, touching scene, I'm a sucker for those aspects !
what I wonder is..
are they going to finish the series in 3 more episodes? or put a "cliffhanger" / unfinished ending for a 2nd season possibility ?

This is what I'm predicting. The direction the show is going can't survive just three more episodes unless they do it insanely well.

Yui didn't appear in Angel Beats! as much as many other characters; introduced later and written off earlier then the rest. So for this episode to focus entirely on her (with Hinata), I quite enjoyed this tear-jerking episode. If only they could do this for each character, that would be awesome (especially Shiina, Yuri, TK, and the rest of them)...but that's not going to happen because it's only 12 episodes long T_T. Although I would like to see a good epilogue scene though (not mixed in with the rolling text credits) with a resolution: that would make this series one of my favourite titles if it does, as any purely bad, half-assed, and/or simply unsatisfactory ending can utterly ruin any great or epic series.

Again...Loved the Yui x Hinata canon episode.

As for the ending of the series itself, if they left it at a cliff hanger, or had unanswered questions still lingering (with an absolute confirmation for a second season or a few good OVAs) then I could live with that. Otherwise, it's going to be a gamble for them to win over my money.

touching and cute
key does a good job making you feel sorry for yui and im glad hinata fulfilled her wish
and to the person asking how yui died, you are correct, its not important, its mostly the boring life she had to live after the accident.

i didn't catch that they had feelings for each other before the marriage thing but oh well

i seriously thought otonashi was gonna marry her lol

Yui really redeemed herself in this episode. I also understand more why she is how she is. She's not that bad either once you get to know her it seems.

They never said how Yui died did they? I got caught up in the episode and forgot all about this till 10 minutes later. Though I suppose "how" she died is unimportant in it's self, as that she never got to do much being alive anyways.

Also some of her poses were just too freaking cute! (The third picture of ShibuyaRiver's post [1st post of discussion] I liked that one :D).

I'm sad she's gone now :(.

they dont have to, once she lost her body is like she died. She could had died of age or a sickness, the fact is that he whole life was stolen from her which is what all of the other character problems are. Great stuff. i knew key wasnt going to dissapoint me. PLenty of tk in this ep. Loved it

I only wonder though, was that the past? The futuret? Or her/both of their's imagination in a sense? Of them being together.

A kiss as she disappeared would've been sweet :). But how serious both of them were was more than enough for me.

Leave it to Hinata to figure out Otonashi's plan.

3 Episode's left....WHY!?!?

But it was totally WTF at the end with that shadow thing. Ah, Angel Beats and its countless cliffhangers.

Well he didn't really kill her since they're all dead already. He just made her happy. Happy yet sad episode that made me watery eyed. Again.

Also, the scenes of Yui and Hinata together in the "flashbacks" are in both of their imaginations. It didn't actually happen.

And everyone keeps saying there's only three episodes left. I really hope you people are liars. That's just too short for a great Anime like Angel Beats!

I can see it going this way now. Iwasawa was never really shown dying, though she does say she died. Otonashi seems to be the only one we've seen die, even then he may have just gone crazy unconcious but I'm not sure. The rest are still undisclosed.

Angel Beats seems so rushed... I wish it would have been expanded into 26 or 52 episodes instead. At this rate, it seems like we're just going to have a bunch of people disappear, and until finally, Yurippe disappears in the last episode.

Marriage was totally unexpected, and felt out of place.

Bah, I wish I could say I'm liking Angel Beats as much as I loved Clannad/Kanon/Air... but this is starting to disappoint me.

I liked it a lot, but I am still a little confused. Yui and Hinata were talking like they could still be together. ARE they both in comas or something, or are they talking about like reliving life or a life after the one they are in or reincarnation or something?

I would be kind of upset if they were all just in comas. =/

But another cliffhanger. This show doesn't quit with those. But maybe everything will change again next episode.

I like the episode. Im not the drama type of guy but the episode have sweet morals to it.

Also the episode made me realize a little about what are the handicapped people go through with their everyday lives.. Then made me realize that they are some people that will ultimately care for them no matter what.

This episode is cool and refreshing.

When Yui said that she wanted to get married and then, we heard Hinata's voice, I went, well, here we go... Oh man... The song was the killer... The life that Yui could of had if she met Hinata was beautiful too... Just writing this is making me teary...

Anyone noticed what image that Yui and Hinata's shadow forms? Really well thought out...
