As expected and as I said in Episode 11 comments, it turned out exactly how I foresaw. Big forced battle between fire and ice, Abel intervenes, and absolutely nothing else was resolved. We still have no idea who attacked them and why. How the attack was even possible to carry out, nothing. Immediately following the peaceful resolution of the battle for the princess by the beach, the entire battle and massacre up top was forgotten and brushed off, and we somehow jump into happy moments with Sera back home. The princess nor the fire magician were ever shown talking again, only that they were "sorry" for any misunderstanding via Abel the messenger.

Definitely one of the worst Isekai's I've ever seen. It started out great and had lots of potential to be great, but completely dropped the ball in the second half of the show, and ruined any potential it had.

And even when they have the potential of a decent episode, with Ryo vs Oscar, they waste it. A small skirmish, then... nothing more than the normal flirting and household chose stuff. What a waste of a decent idea. And I know it's not because of a bad adaption. This is just poor writing skill by the author.

I already hate this show as it is but fuck this episode makes me despise it.

All those buildups are for nothing, stupid and unnecessary misunderstanding, also pretty much non-existent and brain dead MC.

From 4/10 to 1/10. Hell with this shit.

This series seriously has no idea what it wants to do. It wants Ryo to be the main character, but then sidelines him for almost the entire series to focus on a bunch of side characters with him only reappearing a the end to get into a flashy fight. It wants to set up a deep lore and world building and then just drops it do they can focus on slice of life.

Half of the penultimate episode dedicated to the entire life and backstory of the fire guy and then the other half dedicated to setting up a storyline with the princess and an attempted assassination plot, then half of final episode dedicated to a fight based entirely on a misunderstanding and then the ENTIRE thing just stops with the resolution taking place off screen. Just... what? Why the hell build up all of this shit for an episode and a half and then just drop it like it doens't matter? What happened with the fire guy? What happened with the princess? What was the deal with the entire assassination attempt? Fuck you, Ryo needs to go to the library and then get some copies made.

Such a tragedy that such a great character design (Sera) was wasted on such a mediocre show. Started good and ran out of steam I guess. Not bad, but far from what it could have been.

All that backstory just for the fight to end without a conclusion. This anime started really good and just fell off episiode by episode. After thinking about it this anime is literally 15% Ryo and the rest are side characters which is not the main problem but most side characters are bare bones. They spent a lot of middle episodes into really bad side stories that doesn't progress the plot. I was expecting for the Akuma to be the finale but we ended up getting Oscar that was only introduced at the end of ep 9 with appearances on ep10 and an abrupt backstory on ep11 which is not even slightly interesting. This would have been better if instead of wasting time on the stampede or whatever its called we should had Oscar by then to fully build his character.

This anime had so much potential but it squandered most of it on pointless dialogue and unfunny jokes and side stories. There were so many key story points that were started and almost none of them followed through. There better be another season soon to go over everything but I doubt it. Could have been a peak fantasy adventure anime but ended up average. 6/10

I would say that this show sabotages itself. It's about 60-70% good show and 30-40% annoying. And it doesn't have to be. The portions that are good are good! It just makes the inexplicable decision to waste a substantial portion of the entire season on filler no one cares about. It's like when a monster movie doesn't show the monster until the second half.

Sideline the MC after realising he’s too OP then just let him potter around in the background while boring alt characters get smacked about then have to wait for MC to save them. Two characters - Abel and the Prince look the same.

They tried to make Ryo look like a baddass protecting mates at the end but came off as insincere. He was happy go lucky fighting the baby Demon Lord when Abel was in dire straights then does a 180 when his useless mates are in trouble and wants to go full murderhobo when they get a couple scrapes.

Weird choices in my opinion. The first half of the season was good until it shifted focus to those dross roommates. Then only had Ryo show up like some deus ex Machina to bail everyone out. Nothing even comes back to the Akuma and beat fight we had.

Let down a bit.

The way Ryo suddenly became a psychopath just because his roommates got some minor injuries, to the point that he was ok with an all-out war, and even went so far as to use his magic against his very first friend... That was completely out of character and anticlimactic...

A mediocre end to what was a disappointing mediocre anime. Kinda funny the only real time we got to see "asshole Ryo" (like he apparently is in the manga), was the last episode. The fight was lackluster at best, too short and genuinely not as high stakes as his confrontation with the demon chick. Its fine if people enjoyed this but it really wasn't as good as it could have been. Poor plot pacing and random injections of content either from the spinoff or outright filler ultimately "watered down" the experience.

Production could be better. Ryou is a good-hearted, ignorant and powerful man. Sera is an all around beautiful elf woman, a kind of creature I am a fan. More Ryou and Sera would not hurt. Ryou and Sera for the second season?

Even so, very good ending episode of a very good series! Rooting for a second season, because of a certain couple-to-be...

Ryo sudden outbust to kill the fire mage it's understandable but, at the same time it feels forced and out of place that he didn't try to talk first.

It felt like the author had that scene in mind and forcefully added it, also the noob adventurers felt more like dead weight to be honest.

I quite enjoyed watching this anime, but the ending really disappointed me. I was annoyed by the Inferno Mage's attitude. I felt like he wasn't really apologizing, but Abel told Ryou as if he had apologized. The anime started off pretty well, but ended so badly.

Well, it wasn’t that bad, but the anime suffered from being too calm—it kept losing its rhythm, it was just too quiet. Ryou doesn’t really feel like the protagonist; he’s always off somewhere doing something else—like flirting with Sera in the library while dungeon monsters are attacking the city.

It had good moments, and I’m not just talking about the action. But then those moments would get cut short—like in this episode, where Oscar and Ryou’s fight was stopped way too abruptly. And the focus on secondary characters who felt very flat didn’t help. It would’ve been way more entertaining to follow Ryou and Abel’s adventures. A decent anime overall, but one that had a lot of potential early on.

It was rushed as hell, but I liked the show's setting and characters outside of Ryo. I liked the worldbuilding, the demon lady plot seems cool, and Abel and the guildmates were pretty interesting. It's Ryo just swooping in and solving everyone with ease that made the show boring for me. Which I expected, but at least everything around Ryo was at least decent. The show's best moments (outside of the first two episodes) were when Ryo was written out so Abel could be the focus.

I loved Ryo in this last episode because he actually had more depth to his character than being quirky. He dismissed his best friend, threatened to kill an innocent woman and almost incited a war because of his anger. I would have loved to see more hints of this Ryo - a good-hearted guy who isn't as above human flaws as he appears, making you question if he can always be trusted to use his power responsibly. And other nations would probably be really worried, knowing that this dangerous super-weapon could be turned on them at any point. Granted, the whole fight felt very forced and required Ryo to be stupid in order to facilitate it, but I'll take what I can get.

What was the start of this episode?? Why was Ryo so unforgiving to Abel despite that being entirely out of character. I understand how Ryo could be upset, but the stupidity of his actions just make it feel so off from how he usually acts. I really was enjoying this anime and was excited to see how it ends, but they started the last episode on such a horrible note, not to mention them almost completely ignoring his actions in the second half of the episode. He saved Abel and became friends with him throughout the anime, so why did he try to kill him right at the end just for refusing to give up on a fight with someone who minorly injured his other friends? Especially with the misunderstanding of the situation and with how the inferno magician was justified in that situation, why did Ryo just completely ignore how he was in the wrong? It came out of nowhere and honestly made me upset with this whole episode. Not to mention, theres finally some connection being made between Ryo and the elf girl, but barely any (despite her being like the thing you always see in the ending of each episode, I thought there would be more development between them throughout the 12 episodes)

🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵 END🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵This isekai anime, the beginning of the plot is good, but it's a relaxed isekai anime in the middle because I thought the MC, Ryo, would have a relaxed life while adventuring and exploring the isekai, but it turns out not to be, I give this anime a rating of 7/10❤️ I hope there will be a season 2 in the future if there is one

Completely disliking the epilogue. They could've done it in S2.

The story isn't the best, but the visuals and directing apart from Episode 4 were all horrendous. The mini fight today was probably where the budget went to beside E4. Episodes 10 and 11 were peak low, and it wasn't because of Ryo's lacking of screentime.

4/10 (still looking forward to S2, but coping for a change of both studio and staff)

Abel's like "stop! this'll start a literal war."
And Ryo's face is basically saying "I don't mind getting rid of the whole empire. Debuhi was a dumb name, anyway."

The fight between Ryo and Oscar felt too short in my opinion. I also wanted Ryo to defeat Oscar rather than the useless ending to fight. The second half of the episode felt like it was trying to wrap all lose ends too fast. I wish the last two episodes would have been better organized.

I totally understand every single critic towards the fight between Ryo and Oscar, they could have emphasized even more just how angry Ryo was against Oscar by hurting his friends with a better sound design or artistic choice

Still I considered this a very good show, a solid 8, for an isekai/fantasy in general because it carry really hard with its characters. At the same time, if you dont vibe with any of them or with the main cast, yeah this show have not so much to enjoy left: Action already have its fair share of criticism and the world is interesting but there is not enough yet to satisfied anyones curiosity

And yet, is so much better than your average Isekai trash of the season

Honestly my problem with this anime was that the episodes from 3 to 12 could have been summarized in 5-7 episodes, there were 12 episodes and it feels like really nothing much happen, it was slow (like very slow) every chapter was so hard to enjoy because of the pacing, there were absolutely no character development to anyone, the fights were so lame, there were no consequences, some were really fast, some feel like you were watching someone play pokemon, like, it feels like they were attacking by turns.

Like in the last fight, you have a huge ocean behind, you are in an advantage, drown that dude or something, just do something, dont just play a stare contest. I honestly not a big fan of fight scenes, but if theres gonna be a fight scene, might as well do it right.

i have quite the expectations for this anime since the trailer, but honestly it was really a disappointment.

I enjoyed the novel much more and this was a fairly disappointing adaptation for me personally.

Though I did thoroughly enjoy the first few episodes, I felt the adaptation fell off very hard after the introduction of Leonore.

Will still continuing reading the novel, and am in full cope that we may get a better adaptation in the future as the novel is still doing relatively well in Japan.

Mixed feelings about this show overall.

I really liked the first couple of episodes, I thought it was a fairly unique take on isekai/fantasy, but then plotlines got less and less interesting imo to the point I felt complete lack of interest for this finale.
On the plus side, Ryo is a relatively unique kind of MC, and his little back and forth with Abel was fun and interesting.
On the other hand, as others have said, the developement of his relationship with Sera felt very sloppy and unconvincing. And most of the secondary characters didn't exactly felt very memorable either.

Maybe the pace of the original story was a tad too slow to make it a convincing anime at the end of the day? Idk, that maybe part of the problem for me.

Kinda pissed with how the fight went. They helped the princess and when Oscar came they couldn't even bother to explain the situation? and what about the enemy's dead body? its just non existent for some reason. Then Ryo suddenly Snaps after seeing his friends with some little wound. I thought he's more of a calm person and would try to assess the situation instead of snapping and ignoring everything even when Abel tries to convince him. anyways it really falls off after the early episodes

@Wrathberry84 I only watch Isekai's I don't believe are slop. Every season at most I watch one or two that seem rather unique or actually have a story. I thought this one looked great from trailers etc, and it actually did start out great. Then it just dropped the ball towards the end, making the entire show the worst I've seen so far.

Utterly not for me! The magic combat scenes pretty decent but the rest is so rare and boring sometimes. Ryo trained, ate, walked, killed some monsters and had a duel with a pretty good fighter under an eclipse, and felt in love with an elf, bought a house and that’s it. I ended it because I don’t like to start things and abandon them half way but it drained my energy in something with not shape at all.
