| Picking this anime back up after having it on hold for almost 3 years is... confusing, to say the least. I barely remember any of the characters and I haven't got the slightest idea what's going on. Why does the muscle dude (Todo? Tomo?), a side character, have the most insane, OP ability in the series? With seemingly zero drawbacks? Dude's basically got Rinnegan and he can just spam it 24/7. Like, no matter how you look at it, that has to be one of the most busted abilities there is. And they gave it to a comic relief side character with 10 IQ. But, well, I've seen enough shonen to know that once an ability is deemed too OP or convenient, they'll just casually brush it under the rug and pretend it was never a thing to begin with. Overall, this was a pretty mid episode. 3/5. Wasn't a huge fan of Deus Ex Kakashi swooping in at the last second to clean house.  |
| Man this continuation for the fight against Hanami was unbelievable I mean from Todo showcasing his Boogie Woogie move and it’s really useful just clap to change the living being or inanimate object with cursed energy’s position. Really enjoyed him double teaming with Yuji to take on Hanami was just so incredible to watch and to add to this spectacle, Gojo appears, breaks the veil surrounding the battlefield and then just uses another of his techniques which really felt like I was looking at a DBZ attack and just huge amount of damage to the forest and Hanami as well. Is there nothing that Gojo can’t do? It seems the plan for the cursed spirits was not to kill Gojo but rather distract everybody at Jujutsu Tech long enough so that Mahito could steal one of Sukuna’s fingers. And it turns out it was a success there. Going back to Yuji, he’s really come along way since the first episode and has become stronger as a result and seeing as he’s used Black Flash repeatedly in one battle and broke Nanami’s personal record it’s definitely the case here. I’ll agree that the soundtrack apart from the openings and endings aren’t really the best here for this anime but I feel like they do a good enough job for me in certain areas of the show but not enough to call them memorable for me. Otherwise this episode was just terrific, just absolutely marvellous I’d say. ‘Nuff said. |
