| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn, Hinami is crazy strong, at least compared to someone like Jugo. He's taking on several sorcerers at once without breaking a sweat. Yuji and Aoi vs Hanami is the highlight of this episode for me and imo, one of his toughest fights yet. Well done again MAPPA on animating the action and making it as impactful as it can be. |

| Sasuga Special Grade Curse... Hanami is pretty strong enough to fight against total 6 sorcerers. Is she even stronger than Mahito? Also, the action sequences were top notch again. Maki and Fushiguro vs Hanami, especially that weapon exchange scene was pretty startling. The other one would be Inumaki saying "Buttobe!" and Hanami just literally flying away in a flash. But of course, Todo and Itadori vs Hanami was another MVP of the 2nd cour. Those animations was extremely smooth, and characters running, evading, and punching was really well done. Especially that Black Flash scene oh my god that was so fantastic. Though if I had to say, there were too many explanation scene and reminiscing scene in the middle, so it kind of impeded me on concentrating on the whole fight. I'm looking forward for better circumstances on the next episode. In my opinion episode 17 was the best of the 2nd cour, but this one was somewhere at that level as well. | It was worth noting that lots of freelance animators that were responsible for Black Clover's top-notch episodes have contributed to this episode's production, and man, it sent my already sky-high expectations to the stratosphere!!! BLACK FLASH IS HERE BABY AND IT IS GORGEOUS!!! Call me crazy, but for me this episode is on par with Demon Slayer's episode 19, in terms of animation, story, pacing and music-wise. |

| Hanami voice is a bit weird to me. I didn’t imagine a female seiyuu when reading those scenes. This episode was a meathead’s paradise. MAPPA as usual snapped on the Todo and Itadori v Hanami fight. Some of the choreography was awesome. Megumi and Maki’s fight against em was tuff too. Great animation and direction there. |

| Great job by the staff of this episode (NOT mappa). It was all really well animated, as there were a lot of amazing freelancers today, the cut of yuuji and the muscle guy running in the roots was easily the highlight, that was done by Keiichiro watanabe and he is a fucking god, everything he does is absolutely top tier, his art and sense of speed are easily recognizable (People say he is from mappa, which is just really stupid, he is 100% a freelancer). Despite the good animation i have to be honest that i expected more from the fights, characters time and time again just stop fighting to talk, that tends to really ruined the immersion for me, it can happen one or twice at max, but this episode it happened A LOT more. It was mostly just a fighting episode, and although i expected more considering the staff for this episode, it was still decently enjoyable. |

| It was a pretty good episode I guess The CG for the forest was quite low quality tho, but man that animation is nice to watch Anyways, Idk how to explain it, while this is quite intense, I’m not feeling this fight that much, mostly because there’s not an emotional side to it... maybe? Dunno |
| Loved the hell outta this episode 👌 i hope when this season ends they don't rush and put out season 2 i much rather they wait a few years so that they can prepare instead of rushing it out within a year or so |

| wait wasn't Inumaki's ability downside is that whatever he says gets reflected back to him? so why didn't he also get shot back lol also at this point I feel like Megumi is only there just to get beat up and show how strong the villains are :P for realz though, the animation and OST were epic this ep (more so the OST though). ngl out of all the bromance eps with Toudou and yuuji I felt like this one was the best one, their chemistry during the fight was on point lol the actual fight itself is okay so far, definitely doesn't have the same emotional impact the one against Mahito did, but that makes sense given the situation for that one |

| It's been a while since there were multiple casualties, but the tag-teaming throughout this episode was so delightful. When one of them falters, another is ready to back them up and continue pushing against Hanami. Toudou casually slapping Yuji out of his wild rage felt so affectionate, they truly are brothers now. |

| The previous fights were pretty good but this fight was absolutely amazing, I found it hilarious how Itadori and Toudou went from being best friends to brothers. I can't wait to see Toudous secret technique and I still really wanna see the old guy with the guitar, I feel like that's gonna be insane. |

| Fushiguro gets his ass kicked again and is stopped before he does some wild shit. Seeing Itadori and Toudou team up was great to watch and the fight was pretty impressive in terms of planning and animation. I wish that the Black Flash moment was animated a little more clearly because it was a little confusing what exactly happened, but that’s more of a nit-pick. |
