The diamond crack WAS relevant, it must be some channel between the halves that gives the Medusa it's power??

Does that city in Brazil really have ALL those minerals IRL? If so, wow.
@Stormy_77 Brazil holds about 20% of the proven rare earth elements reserves of the world and Araxá is one of the top REE regions in Brazil. It is especially rich in niobium, making Brazil the leading producer of the element. The state in which Araxá is located is Minas Gerais, which means "General Mines", and is extremely rich in terms of mineral resources. Brazil has almost one fifth of the proven iron ore reserves of the world and this state is one of the two regions iron is significantly concentrated in, the other being Pará. This region is also the one that caused, with its rich gold mines, the longest gold rush in history that is the Brazilian Gold Rush. Aluminium, manganese etc. are also found extensively there. Not only Araxá but the whole region is simply blessed.

How did they make that fortress in such a short time? It should take YEARS. Where are their tools for cutting the rocks? How did they transport the rocks, and from where did they cut them? They can't consume enough calories in time to move and shape and place all those rocks and build the fortress before Stanley's group arrives.

And WHY make the fortress? It's meaningless when their plan is to use the Medusas, not to fight using fortress walls.

But they have to lure Stanley there to get the ship? They can build this enormous fortress but they can't build another ship?
@Hegar Not only did they build a fortress but they also levelled a huge hill. The wooden palisades and a few rudimentary houses would have been fine. Ever since Senku was declared Avatar Senku, being able to instantly bend all the elements on the periodic table into necessary materials, and Taiju's willpower bestowed upon him the ability to work 25 hours a day at ten billion percent efficiency, things have become quite a bit fantasy-like.

There's sure to be some action in the next episode. But I guess we already know who's going to win...

@Arxeas Indeed. I think we all loved seeing him make a winch, a water mill, and I really felt a sense of wonder when they brought back electric light for the first time in thousands of years.

Then the writer lost his way.

@Hegar You're right. Such scenes gave me lots of goosebumps and pride for humanity's progress. I still watch them from time to time.

It's not about who's gonna win, but HOW :)
Can't wait to find out what kind of clever invention from Senku's team will bring all to an end.

Kaseki was the hero of the day opening the medusa out of pure perseverance. Also, Chelsea confusing even the mighty mentalist Gen was so fun. Nice episode.

@Arxeas

I vaguely remember learning about Minas Gerais in Geography class decades ago, but good to know it means General mines. Wow that's great for them. Assuming they can safely extract all those rare earths without causing too much downstream pollution or damage to the environment.
