| After the fall, the only thing left to do is to get up again. I liked how, despite the grief and emotional blow of Kaiju N°9 killing Isao, Kikoru crying her heart out for her father, is determined to become stronger and avenge him. Narumi will have to fill the void Isao left behind, guided by the lessons he passed on to her. And Kafka - even if it means losing his humanity - is willing to do whatever it takes to let the person who believed in him the most rest in peace. I'm looking forward to seeing how all the members of the Defense Division evolve, especially now that Hoshina is going to use Kaiju N°10 as a weapon. |

| First 7 minutes or so of combat were pretty cool. Rest of the episode... not so much. Cliffhanger with Hoshina and Kaijuu No.10 was promising tho. |

| As expected, Kaiju No. 9 escaped. Narumi and Kafka were unable to defeat it. Kikoru didn't attend Isao's funeral, and believes he hasn't died until Kaiju No. 9 dies. Narumi agrees to make her strong, and the training begins. Kafka is slowly turning into a permanent Kaiju. So he says goodbye to his normal life and the cleaning department before committing to give his all to fight Kaiju No. 9. Narumi also asks his help. |

| The Narumi struggle is real 😔 but ya know. They have been fighting Number 9 for a while now. All the clones that got yeeted, and then this guy amped up by #2. They say a cat has 9 lives, but this enemy got 99. Apparently combined with a self implosion to rip the battered body apart. Welp, the cost of this fight is kinda steep. And #9 does still have the director's face hostage so the media can have a field trip when his face shows up to damage the city. At least the dude got a public funeral. At the end of the day. I suppose they're now more motivated. And who knows how 10 will play into their plans. But I feel that they all had the resolve that was merely reinforced after this ep so the amp isn't crazy. Surely 9 doesn't live to the end of this season and into the next. |

| I love Kafka so much! I'm looking forward to seeing him grow even more, though I'm afraid that one day he might never turn back into a human :( |
