Damn, The movie gave me chills. Despite being a manga reader, I was thoroughly enjoying everything. This is the best example of a perfect adaptation, I'm kinda glad I read the manga beforehand so as not to get spoiled etc. For once, My country got a movie before the US and others so I'm very glad lol. Cinematography, Soundtrack, Fights, Art, Everything was amazing. I honestly can't wait to rewatch the movie once it comes out on Blu-ray (That's how much I liked it haha). |

This is the first time I am feeling fortunate to live in Pakistan. How the hell was this movie released before US and India over here. Anyways, I couldnt go on the opening day (14th) but I just came from cinema today (15th) and HOLY SHIT this movie was mind blowing. Seeing a packed cinema hall for an anime movie itself is quite amazing. I think this is one of those movies which you have to witness in cinema. Its a completely different experience. Every single action sequence blew my mind. Ufotable is truly terrifying. This is truly their best work. All three major fights in this film were gorgeous. Yes there were plenty of flashbacks in between the fights but they were pretty solid in my opinion. I cried after Akaza's backstory. His whole fight was something out of this world. No wonder this film is breaking so many records. It deserves to do so. In short, this is the best movie experience in my life. Mind blowing fights, emotional moments and amazing backstories makes this a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to the next movie that will most likely contain my favorite fight in all of anime and manga. 11/10. Amazing movie. |

『This is a review from Malaysian!』
14th August 2025
Yep I watch as soon as it's released in my local cinema.
Overall quality of animation, sound, voice acting, storytelling is a solid 10/10. Maybe some people think, why it's adapted into a movie trilogy? For me it's more better, I am so agree to have the last fight for every upper moon demon is made into a cinema quality, they deserve it.
SPOILER ALERT
There is 3 section of every fight, the last one is so well made!
1. Shinobu vs Doma
Unfortunately, hashira lose. but some people said, (because I don't read the manga), this isn't full scale fight yet. Doma will lose anyway, Shinobu ain't 100% dead yet. Cliffhanger here, they didn't tell what happen to Kanao, I don't want she's dead too, someone must save her!
2. Zenitsu vs Kaigaku
This one is cool. So plot twist that Zenitsu have a secret breathing skill. He plan to use it together with Kaigaku. But yeah, turn out it's for killing Kaigaku. It's emotional when his trainer, that old man, say something nice to Zenitsu. Really mind blown scene from a character that used to be really comedic.
3. Tanjiro & Giyu vs Akaza
The most epic one. Tanjiro really lock in, he can outsmart Akaza. I love Tanjiro's flashback, seeing his dad when he's still alive, he's so cool. Then yeah, Tanjiro successfully flashback Akaza past life, that is very sad. This really related to, "Villain isn't born, but it's made". He born poor, have to find money to threat his sick dad. He stealing money and got executed many time. His dad hanged himself so his son can live better. Not only that, he almost live better, after his martial art teacher recruit him, threat a sick girl, a daughter of his teacher, until she became well. Akaza (aka Hakuji) almost married to the girl, Koyuki. And owned the martial arts house after his teacher give it to him. The damn kanata student or smth poison the teacher and daughter. He almost have a better life tho. why?. Then he killed all of katana student, and Muzan recruit him with force. Then he loss memory. Finally he remember all of it when Tanjiro give a small punch, and killing himself with his breathing skill. He believe that, he is the most weaker, he didn't fulfill his dad, his teacher, and his beloved fiance promise.
I believe, he is the strongest demon ever, he didn't defeated by demon slayer, but himself. Then he started peace with himself, and go to the hell with respect. The most heart touching part is, he and his fiance, is reunited but in hell.
My gentleman tears is damn coming out bro. Good job ufotable staff, all cooperation, the original author for this banger!
That's all I guess. Can't wait for 2027, and 2029. InsyaAllah, I still live, so I can see the full movie trilogy. Keep up the good work! Thank you for this masterpiece!

A strong argument for Kaigaku's inability to learn the first form of Thunder Breathing is that the first form is the only one that requires the user to get close to the enemy, and because Kaigaku fears death in battle, he can never use it. |

I love the animation and sound for this first episode of the movie, the music are also banger! Watching it in the cinema really different than watching on regular monitor & speaker. The fight is also pretty good. But man... I don't really like how they do the flashbacks here, too much cut to the flashback and really breaking the immersion of the fight. |

@Biisoo Weird people point is so true. I went with a group of 9 friends and one of them told me to not go on 14th (opening day) because of this point. Thats one of the reason I went on 15th. The hall was still full and there were weird people but it was chill overall and the movie was absolutely amazing. Its still unbelievable to see so many people go to cinema for an anime movie here. The hype is huge. |

Manage to watch this on cinema. Honestly compare to infinite train movie with the focused on one flame hashira only, i feel like the vibe kinda decreasing here. Not by lot but still idk why its kinda different. I mean, i can't believe Shinobu just getting absorbed there in an instant? Well i mean, fight kinda obvious but still can actually be more impactful than that, sigh. Also Zenitsu, bro really just create form just to beheaded those mob upper ranked demon. Yeah who the hell are you again, i wonder? Aside those two main highlight from this first installment, i gotta say, Akaza doing the job pretty well. Well ofc, this is his movie part afterall since the first appearance of him at the infinite train movie, yeah. Again i gotta say, this is kinda lacking.... Overall visual still stunning as ever, even though ufo perhaps hide the better one at the second or even the final one, for the movie, its all good.... Damn you Doma. |

Oh my, seeing this on cinema is such a great experience! The visual is great, the fight scenes are awesome, one thing I am not a fan of is this movie has way a bit too much flashbacks/backstories, they should've been cut down a little bit. I was also hoping this movie would finish Doma fight entirely, too bad it would be saved for next movie. Also one thing I am amazed for specifically is the beginning when everyone was falling in Infinity Castle, that was probably the best "entering enemy lair" scene I've ever seen in my life, it was phenomenal ^.^ |

Had the opportunity to watch this at a movie theater near where I live, and this is also my first time seeing ufotable's works in cinema. Very unfortunate, isn't it? Especially since I feel like this is a rare experience, perhaps only once a year. Plus, I got an interesting story to share with y'all. You know what? When the credits rolled, everyone in the theater gave thunderous applause. Several people around me, both in front and to my left and right, even held the "Absolute Cinema" pose for a while. Never in my life have I seen something like this before, even though I've been in this world for almost two decades and have actually seen countless films in theaters. It is indeed worthy of that much appreciation. Getting to the content of the film, I had previously read the manga up to the Infinity Castle arc. However, that was a while ago, so I've forgotten most of the details. No, I haven't completely forgotten everything that happened; I only remember the key points of the storyline. Well, there are a few interesting things we can discuss. Coincidentally, this time I watched with some of my friends who are also Kimetsu no Yaiba fans. After some discussion, we've agreed on several things. First, for those of you who have watched it, especially those that has read the source material beforehand, what do you guys think of the Shinobu arc in the movie? Is it too fast, too slow, or just right (just right)? Because frankly, we think it's clearly too fast. Think back; don't you think it seemed like the events just flew by? Shinobu is one of the important characters, but it seems she is only discussed briefly. FYI, Shinobu is often discussed on various social media platforms, at least as a joke 😅 Second, this is no less important. Using the manga as a benchmark, the love story between Hakuji (Akaza while still human) and Koyuki is very short as well. In our opinion, the pacing is also too fast. In other anime, things like this are generally not that rushed, unlike here. What do you guys think? |

Zenitsu!!! My man showed up! I guess he was training the entire time we didn't see him. For some reason I don't think his switch flipped. I think that was truly him. I was happy to for the bg finally. Is it wrong that Akaza's back story made him understandable, especially since he had lost his memories. I'm even more excited for the next season. |

Watch it on IMAX recently. One of the biggest highlight of this movie for me is seeing the infinity castle, it's so dynamic and fascinating to see it especially in the beginning of the movie. Animation is very pleasing to see and the fact that every single fight have a consistent amount of quality is something that's worth appreciating. Speaking of appreciating, Kajiura definitely never disappointing at handling the score and I could see how it elevate the mood of the scenes in the movie. KnY always does this but I will say it again that I'm not a big fan of how they utilize flashbacks in this movie. I wonder if the next 2 movie will be as long as this one though? |

@Magpareddi I've said it before, but I think that feeling is one (of the very few) problems with the anime adaptation. In the manga, those brief flashbacks are consumed very quickly, so they don’t disrupt the immersion; instead, they act as short glimpses that give emotional impact. In the anime adaptation, however, what originally lasted only a few seconds is stretched into several minutes, which ends up hurting the pacing. Don't get me wrong, I think the anime is superior to the manga in almost every way and adds a lot of content that wasn't in the manga, but I also think that a good adaptation, rather than reproducing exactly what happens in the manga but with great animation —or even lengthening it even more—, must be able to translate what the original version wants to convey to other formats using the resources specific to its medium. I think ufotable has always struggled with pacing. |

Kimetsu no Yaiba, Infinity Castle 1st Part - so, after I invited my friend to watch the movie, here's my fresh review. Hardly care about Akaza or Mr. Hakuji, so that flashbacks all for naught for me. Plus, it covered all the remaning minutes of the movie which sucks. But his tenacity still makes me fear him. Even after beheaded by Tanjiro, his body still rejuvenates. I thought Muzan is the only capable demon who can do that! Shinobu's fight was so-so I suppose. Yeah, she's not really the fighter. And she can't avenge her sister's death through her sword. She's more like a support for the corps. Anyway, the one who surprised me the most is Zenitsu. His battle against the former co-successor, the current Upper Rank was so clean. He made his own 7th Thunder Clap Technique to defeat it. Overall, it was a good enough movie to enjoy, but not as enjoyable as watching the fight in your own screen, in your favorite device, instead of coming to a cinema. Rating: 8/10 Grade A movie |

pacing is horrendous but the action sequences are genuinely unbelievable and are perfect for the big screen |

i felt like the pacing was super fast, but then again that is in general how kny is where the story is super fast paced. but they managed to tell the story of akaza so well. the fight scenes were spectacular as always. maybe its just because i didnt read the manga but im a lil sad that the first fight was a lil anticlimatic D: |

Beautiful animation, but nothing has changed about the repetitive, bland Demon Slayer formula. It's frustrating to see the death of such a meaningful character in the first twenty minutes, only to spend like double that on a predictable backstory for a demon. Guys, it's okay for your villains to just be evil sometimes, they're literally demons. Overall, first movie was alright. |

I've said it before, but I think that feeling is one (of the very few) problems with the anime adaptation.

@papandreu22 Here's an example of what I was saying. This scene in the adaptation takes like 30 seconds. In the manga, it's read in an instant. |

YN_ON said: Watch it on IMAX recently. Most likely will be as long. Because the next one covers 2 big fights as long as Akaza’s fight if not more. |

Finally got around to watching this in the cinema in Japan. This movie is a wonderfully faithful adaptation of the manga, which is a shame because some areas definitely needed more work. For example, Zenitsu’s battle with Kaigaku felt very rushed (just like in the manga) and like an excuse just to give Zenitsu something to do. I cannot fault the animation at all as all of it was sublime and watching the infinity castle in the theatre felt immersive, like I was there. It won’t look the same on my laptop screen when I watch it again. However, I will gripe that this and possibly the next movie should have been episodic rather than chunky movies. That format gives more space to expand and also gives the audience a breather between episodes instead of three awesome back to back fights sprinkled with lacklustre flashbacks which detract from the action |

Anime was good since it is a part of 3 movies the story did feel incomplete but will complete this rating once all 3 movies are done. |

I gotta say, the animation hits different in a cinema compared to my usual pc screen lol.
So anyways, what's your opinion on the
Akaza fight, especially the end?

@Braincoke Hi i watched it in imax as well. It was stunning spectacle. As for the fight against Akaza, character and story wise i feel satisfied that Akaza was able to find closure but i would have been more satisfied if he was defeated by combat and not by return of his memories. Well i might receive hate for this comment but this is my thought. |
