It's incredible how the story fools you into thinking Mai is some kind of lead character and this is a rom com by introducing her with a splash in S1 followed by an outrageous first arc centered around her creating this unshakable forever bond with Sakuta, then proceeds to basically sideline her into an NPC for the entire rest of the season plus 3 more movies, only showing up sporadically as a drip feed to step on Sakuta's foot, touch his scar, cook a meal, and give him an emotional boost but at all other times conveniently disappears due to her job so Sakuta can do the classic helping out of waifu of the week arcs. This looks to continue, best to adjust your mindset that the writer is more interested in exploring rando quantum/metaphysical inspired stories that parallel common social struggles people have.

Smart trojan horse is what it is so the writer can get you to watch what he actually cares about.

Wow, they're in college now, and Sakurajima Mai is a popular actress. The last time I watched this anime was when they were still in high school, and that was the first season. It's understandable, since I've already missed one season and three movies.

This anime still gives me the same feeling. I used to watch this anime for the romance, but when I got to the supernatural arc, I started to lose interest. Likewise, when I watched this series, I was hoping for lots of romance between the main character and her boyfriend, but instead, the story focused on the problems of other characters that dragged the main character to solve them. At the end, there was a woman in a Santa costume, which I'm sure was a supernatural phenomenon, which I didn't like about this anime.

Peak is so back!! Gimme some more of those Mai and Sakuta moments.

Also, I don't remember at least 2 or 3 of these girls.

So there's prequel of this anime series? do I have to watch it to understand everything? no wonder I saw people's comment that "we are back" and I was like what do you mean by that? lol. Anyway, so many characters in ep1 and I can hardly keep up... maybe I need to watch prequel to understand how Sakuta got his girlfriend in the first place, because everyone made a big deal since she's a popular and beautiful idol.. I just checked and apparently there are a lot more previous anime than I thought... so I should probably hold this one off until I watch all the previous ones before I continue...

I think it's the first episode of a work of art. In my opinion, the episode is perfectly developed, as it shows the current situation of the characters from the previous season and films, while introducing the new ones in an eye-catching way. At the same time, I think it's brilliant how throughout the episode you can see the new characters with their own puberty syndromes through flashes of a few seconds. Finally, the episode ends by introducing the first arc of the season, making the plot of the next episode clear. The episode is exciting from start to finish for the reasons mentioned above. Expectations for this season are very high.

was rewatching a bit of this episode and i dont think i gave enough credit to how much detail CW has put in to this show , that courtyard scene has so much going on with the background characters like the two dancers its wild to see that amount of work put into making the world feel more alive

Sakuta's university arc begins but he is still not rid of dealing with puberty syndrome cases. Guessing this one will focus on Uzuki and the "miniskirt santa"

I think this was a great start after the first season and the movies for the series. I really loved to see how the characters evolved and are now some years older. The first showed a lot of good stuff, like Sakutas new friedns, his student life or him working to help student with school. Also to see him and Mai-san again was awesome and her introducting was perfect. First I wondered that Uzuki and Nodoka are also at the university, but after some reading it made sense. The introduction of "santa claus" in the library was a good reference to the first episode and the confrontation between Nodoka and Uzuki (with Sakuta trying to escape) was exciting. I am really hyped for the next episode. :D

College arc! It sure is nice to see these characters change bit by bit.

This potential puberty syndrome case is looking to be an interesting one. My only guess is that Uzuki is stuck contemplating going solo or continuing to be with Sweet Bullet. But this early on in the story, I wouldn't be surprised if the mysterious Touko Kirishima was someone else.

Miori telling Sakuta about hypothetical puberty syndrome cases couldn't have been more on the mark. He's been there and done that.

Bunny Girl Senpai is back!
I was really looking forward to the sequel.
Mai and Sakuta are in college.
Miori Mito, she's pretty.
Uzuki has been acting differently, hmm.
And that girl dressed as Santa Claus, who could she be?
Puberty syndrome is back.
Good episode.
The opening and ending are really good.
PS: Hasta Mañana.

Here, many images xd

Damn Sakuta. Being surrounded by cute girls of all kinds 24/7 lol.

And Kaede now works at the Restaurant alongside her brother and Koga. That's so sweet!

Really happy I finally had the time to start with this new season.
It was a nice first episode overall. Now looking forward to this new arc with Uzuki as the focus.

Whose bright idea was to change the ED.

First 8 arc covered less than a year now over a year of time skip. Didn't realised Uzuki and Nodoka are same age as Sakuta. He actually dis became a teacher like the counsiler suggested.

Two best girl Kaede & Koga working together in the restaurant, cute...

Sorry, I’m late.
I have to catch up by watching the three movies after season 1.
Honestly, the first movie was good, but the third one was truly amazing—the relationship and emotions between Sakuta and Mai Sakurajima were conveyed beautifully, their bond felt so strong.

And it turns out season 2 begins with Sakuta already in college. (So there’s a one-year timeskip, and his final year of high school wasn’t shown.)
Shoko Makinohara also decided to move, if I’m not mistaken, to Okinawa.
There are some new plots about Puberty Syndrome, which now seem to be affecting Toko Kirishima and Uzuki Hirokawa.
But well, I’m not really focusing on the Puberty Syndrome full of analogies.
I’m more interested in Sakuta and Mai Sakurajima’s relationship—seeing how their relationship has developed from season 1, the movies, and beyond, I just hope their story ends happily.
