| This is called Peak Romance for reason... I really wouldn't mind if Koaruko was a junior but the premise is very intersting. Class & status difference through school and Rintaro past and insecurity (rightful) will make good drama. Probably be good. Very impressive start nothing new but still simple and cute. Kaoruko defended Rintaro name risking herself and he did what needed. He is also starting to open up. And his mother is great aswell, hopefully she plays support well. Kaoruko may already be intrested before these events. I love glutton waifus, one of my favourite tropes. Her design is outstanding, seiyuu is good and just so adorable.. Let's see how much progrssion we get for 13 episodes. Also fk Netflix 1 week delay and completely cucked outside asia with 2 months delay. Absolute worst company to handle anime. Have to watch 2 days after release as I am too lazy too look up that much neither pateint enough to wait for a week. Anyway...  IRRESISTIBLE CUTNESS I am gonna simp so hard😭❤️ |

| A pretty good first impression. I'm glad CloverWorks adapts this, so I'm optimistic. Seeing Waguri in sound an color is a treat, but I'm also exicted to finally see Subaru Hoshina.  |

| This is the second CloverWorks anime (out of three) I've watched this season, and it's arguably the most hyped anime of the year. For the past at least six months, people have been eagerly awaiting this release, and the time has finally come! It was worth all the hype. |

| The first episode felt like skipping an entire season both in a good way and bad way. But not complaining, I had low expectations and it turned out better. I hope it isn't all about just those two being cute and wholesome. |

| It'd be nice if manga fans didn't inflate the rating. If you like the manga that much then rate the manga. Wait till we've actually seen something from the anime. But this is hardly the only show it happens to. First episode a bit underwhelming. That no one from the rich girl school would want to interact with the bad boys shows a real misunderstanding of human nature, and our main girl is wiggling and gasping and trying so hard to appeal it feels like a dating sim. Meanwhile the guy's such a tough but soft cliche. Bakery's up there with flower shop. It's fine, though. Animation and voice acting is solid, so I'm willing to see if it develops toward its reputation. |

| Most cliche start to a love story between teenagers ever. Male MC is not scary at all, animosity from girls towards boys feels cartoonish and story downplaying physical assault for laughs was irritating to say the least. Overall, not the best of premiere episodes. Now let's hope the following episodes can redeem this and justify the absurdly high praise the source material receives. |
| I'd never heard of this until the enormous hype it started getting here this week. People are probably just rating it really high because they like the manga, right? I mean, that first episode certainly isn't anything to write home about. Gets better, I trust? |

| That was very cute. I didnt expect Waguri to already be into Rintarou right from the get-go but I'm all for it. Also like the Romeo & Juliet style setting with the two rival schools. I could definitely see this being in my top 5 favourite romances with how cute and wholesome it is. |

| Too easy, too sweet. I think similar couples from Toradora and Horimiya had better dynamics and heroines. This one is closer to Angel next door, may be? Overly cute with imaginary problem of "being worth". |
| Super cute. The girl went shy - cause the was embarassed that the guy saw her eating so much. (But they did a good job making her lookk super cute.) Have to say though: Other than that it feels a bit ... like this could get boring fast. 1-cour would already be enough if that was the main/only focus. For having this fun in the 1-cour (+ leaving room for sequels) it will depend on how they integerate the other chars. Those school type anime with two leads of the opposite gender (possible - or like here obvious - love interests) always have other characters. (I mean ... the main chars are in school. With class mates and friends.) The overall topic imo should be to get people from those two schools to know each other. They do not need to make sub-plot romances for each classmate or friend of the main characters. But the overall activities (+ the main chars meeting) should be centered around that. Creating reasons to interact so they don't just meet at the cafe lol. |
| I am typically watching this after I have watched the summer Hikaru died, so it's a pallet cleanser for sure. I have fallen in love with this anime. I know, I know. Just the first episode but I really am enjoying their interactions and looking forward to seeing more. I am hoping that he will gain a lot more confidence through the series however. I love when you get to see a character grow and what better way then through love and romance! |
