What a beautiful episode, this honestly made me tear up as someone who has traits similar to both Komari and Nukumizu. While Komari was the main focus of this episode, I could relate a lot with Nukumizu as well, deep down he cares about others and wants to help them but he just simply does not know how to do so yet, and in the process of trying he makes mistakes that he only realizes after he has hurt them. The journey of him trying to move past that and confront Komari's feelings with a more delicate sense of empathy just brought a smile to my face because while being very subtle, is actually some major character development.

My favorite scene was the one near the staircase where Komari opens up about her insecurities of being left all alone, it really made me feel bad for her, coupled with the fact that she resorted to texting to convey her true feelings was something that hit a little too close to home. It's quite clear that she has a longing to be with people and that she's afraid to be lonely but she's worried that she wont be able to make new friends or preserve her current ones due to her social skills so she's come up with this distortion that unless she's capable of doing everything by herself she will become incapable of preserving the literature club which gave her a sense of home.
What she misunderstood though, is that it never was about the literature club in the first place. It was about the people in it, the friends she made along the way and the seniors who supported her in every step.

Nukumizu's monologue on the rooftop was the icing on the cake, friendships and relationships as with most things in life may come to an end some day or the other with people going down their own roads, but those temporary connections you make are nothing short of beautiful and you should treasure them while they last. As Nukumizu said "It's kind of lonely, but that doesn't mean it all has to be sad"

i fucking love this show

I liked the idea of this arc, but it was very poorly executed, always leaving the important things aside to have scenes that were useless or out of time. If they separated the useless things for before the openings, how come they still have these nonsense during the anime too? Guys, what was the author worried about to put so much nonsense or tension-breaking? My impression after what should have been the saddest episode was that the script was really weak. I hate it, so much bullshit in this arc and the scenes that were supposed to be good were just sloppy scenes with Komari's emotions. Besides, officially, Lemon has become one of the characters I hate the most on the face of the earth. 4/10 for this anime so far. Good job to everyone involved.

After the beach episodes this show slowly turned into a drag.. it's all about komari now, with her stupid romantic issues (probably she didn't even love him, just feel lonely) and with less funny moments. Takes screen time from my favorite blue haired girl :/
Meh.. if I would have give the show a solid 9 before, now it's barely a 7. GG

Nah, I personally don't like this episode. I know she's doesn't want to be the president & she struggles with her anxiety, etc., but this doesn't justify her actions. It's just plain rude to throw a water bottle to the person who wants to help in front of many people, that's humiliating.
MC keeps asking her if she need a help, with the intention that he doesn't want Komari to get hurt, but she keeps refusing and misinterpreting his intention so MC looks like the bad guy here. Thank god this is only anime ,if that happens in real life, 100% she will get bullied, and people will badmouth her.

Also, she's so stubborn, I thought with everything that happened in the last few episodes, her interaction with others & people helped her in the club exhibit episode so she can understood that she has friends who willing to help her. BUT NO! She doesn't trust anyone besides herself. How can you have friends if you don't trust other people?
Sometimes you can't do everything by yourself, we're human. we rely on each other.

this reminds me, it also happened to me. let's say I'm a project leader in my office. I know I can do it & try my best to be a good leader, but I'm human. I will make errors and sometimes can't make decisions by myself, so I need someone to back me up. That's why and one of the reason VICE LEADER exist.

One of most well-written anime episodes of any kind I've ever seen.

Simple, touching and utterly sweet.

Amazed Makeine hasn't ended up with better ratings, as it's easily in the Top 3 of the season.

Damn, I've went through things like Komari so this episode is painfully relatable and I cried a lot watching it.

It does suck when you got left alone then feel like you have this responsibility to take care of everything; and even after you give all your best, you still gained nothing but the result that betrays your hard work. I'm happy that Komari have Nukumizu and everyone beside her, but at the same time I feel kinda jealous. I just wish there were someone or some people who are willing to support me back then, just like they did to Komari.

The dialogue and characterization are so on-point in this episode. Truly beautiful. Love it.

Can't get enough of Anna. She's so cute. Her smug faces, etc. But also her voice is addicting. Kudos to her VA.
