* sighs and eyerolls Ugh. Never been a fan of opening scenes that jump in the middle of a story just to be taken back for a bit and then have the same opening scene be part of a resolution in that same episode. You could just take out that initial scene out of the episode and nothing would alter the story at all. It bugs me a lot how well detailed the main heroine Belle and her teacher are in terms of visuals and it pains me that every single beastman looks so unpolished and lack of detail. I acknowledge that drawing a dozen of each race it's quite a heavy load for animators, but it's something that could had been tackled with smarter cinematography, like closeups that only hold 2 or 3 characters at most, or grayed out silhouettes with horns and pointy ears in the backgrounds. The show tries really hard with it's teary scenes and sad music to tell it's audience, "hey this is sad, you must be sad for the main protagonist". But the main problem with this direction choice is that we barely know the main heroine, it's hard for someone like me to care for her at all despite her unfair treatment from the beastmen. There's also the linkage or progression in scenes. We see Belle running away in tears in her early age, and all of a sudden she just pops out inside a castle and calls a random sword her friend. Makes you wonder how the hell did she get in so easily despite the various guards. There's also the big amount of info also shown in subtitles about their jobs and places Belle should go. It's just a really bad idea to bombard the audience with so many details that should be presented more organically later on. To me it feels like this episode should had been labeled as episode 0 and should had been presented as a prequel episode after the the 1st cour should have ended in order to give better context to all these creatures and dumb actions that make no sense (like Belle taking her top off because it makes her lighter). I'll watch one more episode and choose if it's worth to keep watching it. So far it feels just being anime for the sake of being anime. |

I love it so far, heavily reminds me of my favourite LN and anime series SukaSuka / World End, both mc's sharing similar backstories in a very familiar world setting with beasts and special swords. The art and animation is perfect, the ost is also amazing as expected from Kevin Penkin the story seems like it has great potential. I'm really hoping the quality in both production and story continues to be good, a few cliche tropes. But you find that in almost every fantasy story nowadays. Surprised the rating is at 7.04, at a minimum I feel like it should be 7.35 - 7.45 for how it started. Hopefully continues to go up though |

premise was interesting, reminded me of a lot of classic sci fi about the far future, but the execution was only meh in the first episode, having to cut down her master and forget him didn't really make much of an impact cause we don't really know the guy ourselves, and as others have said the erehwon written on her sword is pretty corny. |

Oh my goodness, what an incredible premiere episode. Great soundtrack as always from Kevin Penkin. Damn the racism right from the beginning LMAO Interesting world building, also what a unique system with the "curse". I'm hooked, can't wait for the next episode. Also damn the VA list was STACKED!! A story where humans are not in their own world. Unreal. Looks like isekai to me. The other one was a witch, now here's another, a swordswoman. Definitely expecting something from this, as this first episode was solid. However, there was really no need for this story to be Anthropomorphic, as I only see Beastiality at the end of this series... |

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

Well this was a surprise. I've been incredibly disappointed with most of what is out in the Summer, 2024 season so far, but this is excellent. Solid first episode -- superb animation (very good first battle scenes), a beautiful art style, excellent world building, interesting and unusual characters, a kickass protagonist, a unique story and Kevin Penkin in charge of the soundtrack, so that's pretty epic too. What more can you ask for? Easily one of my Top 3 of the season. |

Interesting setting... MC sounds like the "Doctor from Arknights" (who is the only Human in a world of animal people) Except, this series is obviously extremely racists against "Humans", LOL . Also, MC is Jesus? she can run on water... and she's a Vegan. Very interesting... Also Also... are you sure that's a Flower?.. those look like Octo tentacles to me... (with Blood, so the "vegis" are technically "meat"? lol?) And the "Flower" just wanted to "spread her seed" in the lake (sorta like Salmons I guess) BTW, "eating is the best way to mourn the dead" (that's just a Japanese thing tho, lol) (most other countries just eats for survival, they don't give a fuck about what they're eating) . And we got a quick flashback with the shooting star scene... that hinted the "title" of the series... I take it Belle is actually an "alien" of this world, she somehow came from Earth... aka... she's technically an Isekai if she did came from Earth and to this world. So the series title BYE BYE EARTH literally means she came from Earth and probably can't ever go back to Earth . Also... what the trial is that? makes you forget about your master? HUH? Is this what being a "Nomad" means? you have to be alone in your travels, and not having any love ones? This sounds stupid... well... their whole world setting sounds stupid to began with. When she's traveling to find where she belongs, but being a "Nomad" means you have no place to belong... . see, this is why if you're ever Isekai'd, never trust anyone, only trust yourself, everyone is a lie. (90% of all Isekai series is like this...) |

Rerolfer said: Animation is pretty good. Solid fight scene in the first episode, along with enough worldbuilding so we kinda know what's going on in the world. Good introduction to the MC. My only complaint is how they skipped past the instructor so quickly. What kind of crack are people smoking to put it at a 6.7 rating at the moment of writing this reply??? Deserves way higher! Same, it must be close to 8. Finally we get unique fantasy and people rate it like some trash isekai. Story has some cliche, and world building is a bit too heavy, but everything else is good quality end fresh. |

I felt like everything in this episode went a bit too fast for me to develop a good emotional connection, but I did still get a bit sad at the end. It's a little unclear to me if she actually ends up killing him. I did notice the music was really nice though and wasn't surprised when I saw Kevin did it :). It doesn't seem like it will be an amazing show, but I still think I will enjoy it. Also I like the look of that white haired catboy with the headband 👀 excited for his intro as what I'm assuming will be Belle's bestie! |

Idk if it’s just only me but I lowkey teared up at the end man that’s just fucked up to rewire someone’s memories yk and it was even more that that was her father figure and Sian viewed Belle as a daughter like that shit hurted man especially knowing that Belle has no one to turn to no family no friends and is basically an out cast in a world full of anthropomorphic humans I feel so bad for her I love her so much and I’m wishing for her happiness by the end of this season man🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺☹️☹️☹️ Putting that aside the animation was really top notch I liked it a lot especially in the beginning with the fight against that octopus or kraken or whatever really cool stuff I’m gonna keep watching this for sure🤩🤩🤩 Lastly this gon sound degenerate asf buttttt idc…BELLE IS SO FUCKING HOT OMG SMALL TIDDIES ON AN ANIME GIRL JUST MAKES THEM SO HOT FOR SOME REASON and when Belle took off her shirt in the beginning of the episode my jaw dropped at how fine she was man those bandages around her chest is super hot as well Fairouz Ai voices which makes her character even BETTER man😫😩😫😩😫😩😫😩😫😩😫😩🥵😫😩😫 |

The writing isn't as good as it wants to be, and despite the solid animation and directing, the visual as a whole still feels really generic. I was here for kevin penkin, and holy shit he absolutely delivered. It's pretty obvious that he got a bigger budget to work with here compared to spice and wolf, though that did also sound incredible. So far, it's like a high 5 or low 6. it definitely has some meat on it, but aside from the music, nothing REALLY stands out. |

@ejleon outside of the elements that negatively affect media, I do not give a shit about politics and know next to nothing about them. So out of pure curiosity I want to know what this "agenda" that you speak of was, cause I certainly didn't notice anything. @APolygons2 Hello, nice to meet you, thanks for asking about my perspective, but with all due respect, if you didn’t notice, then I’d say don’t worry about it and continue watching the anime if you like it. I’m always reading or watching the news about what is going on in the world, so I’m exposed to political issues all the time, which means I’m far more sensitive to when media has these issues in their shows / movies, even when it is just subtly. I personally watch anime to relax my brain and get away from all that stuff, so when an anime right away fuses it into their story, this just turns me off. I do not think anyone else will see things from my own personal perspective, so I’m not saying the show is “bad”, it just turned me off when I saw it. However, if you still want to know, I only saw the first episode and I was speaking about the first opening scene. Now there are other anime that have similar things happen, but this one felt like right away it was just in your face, so it could be how the rest of the anime will go. It was a while back though that I saw it, so maybe I’ll watch it again when the anime finishes, to check if I was just being overly sensitive that day. • Human female is ostracized right away, not just because she doesn’t look the same as the other races, but because she also acts differently from them as well, being from another world. (It’s not “fear”, it is utter disgust at her appearance and character) • Human female is looked down upon, because she is not a man, so she “can’t be a warrior” in their eyes, and they doubt she can get the job done. (This is not earth, so why would this other world people have the same prejudices / sexism as humans on earth, when their world has warriors that are both male and female?) • The people who hired her, don’t care about the creature or why it’s there, they just don’t like that it is harming their territory, but she treats the creature differently, has compassion for it being pregnant, and though she finished the job, she even helps save one of the eggs and throws it in the river to survive. (This is similar to bad treatment of animals on earth) • Even after the female human defeats the creature, the people don’t treat her differently and don’t recognize her work, except the leader, but the rest don’t celebrate or thank her, and they are grossed out she takes some of the creature to eat. (This is anti-feminist behavior like on earth) That’s just a few things in the first scene, after that I did not feel like watching more, at least that day I was not having it. If you disagree and want to share your thoughts, I’ll make to read your response. |

(It is similar to bad treatment of animals on earth) • Even after the female human defeats the creature, the people don’t treat her differently and don’t recognize her work, except the leader, but the rest don’t celebrate or thank her, and they are grossed out she takes some of the creature to eat. That’s just a few things in the first scene, after that I did not feel like watching more, at least that day I was not having it. If you disagree and want to share your thoughts, I’ll make to read your response. dude you have got to take a break from news related or political media, like as a whole. I am flabbergasted. Like I am genuinely worried if this is actually a common way of thinking. like ok, let me just explain the issue and you may see it too if you hear me out with an open mind: • Human female is ostracized right away, not just because she doesn’t look the same as the other races, but because she also acts differently from them as well, being from another world. (It’s not “fear”, it is utter disgust at her appearance and character) People look down upon and fear what is different from them or what they don't understand. This is a flaw with human nature, and a lot of the reasons for why some of us chose to hate others come from this very thing. Be it the disabled kid, the nerdy one, or the one from a different race. Racism, like many other things has it's root in the same thing. It's nature has nothing to do with politics. Racism is not an inherently political thing, thinking about it like that is both incorrect and unhealthy. politics has a lot of talk and history around racism, but that's as far as their relationship go. • The people who hired her, don’t care about the creature or why it’s there, they just don’t like that it is harming their territory, but she treats the creature differently, has compassion for it being pregnant, and even helps save one of the eggs. (It is similar to bad treatment of animals on earth) This once again, is not political at all. It's just... morals. One guy doesn't care about the life of an animal, another does. It just tells you that the people in this world don't seem to care about animals, and the fact that our mc is different, tells us about her character. • Human female is looked down upon, because she is not a man, so she “can’t be a warrior” in their eyes, and they doubt she can get the job done. (This is not earth, so why would this other world people have the same prejudices as humans on earth, when their world has warriors that are both male and female?) The prejudice of females being weaker is born from the fact that females have a weaker body structure than males. So given that, in any world that, that is true, it would assumably lead to sexist ideals and prejudices. There is also the fact that this show's writing (from ep 1) is pretty average, and 99% of authors don't really think that deeply about it, and just add things that they already know of, instead of coming up with new issues that fit their world. But besides that, sexism just like racism is also not political. Politics just has it. I promise you there has been a guy who looked down on a woman or a woman that looked down on a guy thousands of years before today. ejleon said: • Even after the female human defeats the creature, the people don’t treat her differently and don’t recognize her work, except the leader, but the rest don’t celebrate or thank her, and they are grossed out she takes some of the creature to eat. so yeah, they are racist, sexist, ungrateful idiots, and the writing is weak enough that there is no subtlety and very little depth behind that. But you can't go on thinking any negative action that is a hot topic in politics, is inherently political. I think I saw a clip on youtube, about a guy on twitter who had said something like: "I can't believe they this anime political" And it was literally just a black guy. THAT'S IT!!! Trying to connect every flaw, every act of negative or positive affect to it's political counter part is unhealthy. It's like someone thinking every depiction of a "bomb" is political because terrorism is a thing that exists. Or thinking speeches are political cause there are a lot of them in politics. BUT ALL THAT SAID. These can still be a turn of because they may remind you of their political counterpart. Inherently political or not, if you get reminded of our world's issues after seeing them, and that turns you off, the logistics don't really matter. So, it's not like I'm saying you're wrong to want to avoid it, I'm just saying these things aren't inherently political things, and it's not good to look at everything through those lenses. Either way though, aside from the glorious penkin music, the first ep was meh anyway, so you aren't missing out on much by not watching it lol It would probably be smarter to just listen to the soundtrack later instead of watching the actual show |

Love the furry premise, and the animation is really really good. Fight was animated beautifully and the color palette, although dull, works for this kind of cinema. I'm hooked. |
