| 1st time rewatch, trying the Edub... and frankly i'm damm glad they didn't give all the Hokkaido folks that fake twangy Southeastern USA 'hick from the sticks' accent. anybody ever tried Burst Angel in Edub from way back in the day when Funimation was about the ONLY Edub franchise out there? THAT kinda corny 'country folks' accent. i'm listening to Mikaela Krantz play Fuyuki Minami and... whew... i am NOT hearing her other roles with Ms. Fuyuki at all! and i even looked em all up here on MAL to double-check my memory. she's giving Ms. Fuyuki a kinda... Canadian-ish bit of a lilt and including some 'dontcha knows?' and 'eh?' here and there. not that i would ever recognize a Hokkaido accent in Japanese if you slapped me in the face with a snowball every time i miss-identified it. ;> Matt Shipman is... Matt Shipman... no matter whom i've heard him Edub for. Chrome, Hajime, Tsubasa in this one. |
