| Frieren really does just get more adorable. First time she's been excited or enthusiastic in the series so far. I didn't actually know if they were just being suckers for her personality type or what, when I was told that by some friends, but she's pretty dang adorable. Also, I didn't exactly expect Stark to be that badass. |

The creatures in this series are amazing imo, not just by their look but mystical nature.
It's too bad the hero Stark didn't get the respect he deserves but Frieren wants to see what he can do herself. An interesting way to introduce his character for sure even if he falls into some classic hero tropes. I also find his chemistry with Fern to be amusing and they adapted their expressions pretty well from the manga.

| @Stark700 Eh, I think Frieren telling him "good job" was way more respect than the whole village could have given him, or anyone but maybe his master Eisen. She's so disconnected most of the time, and she's way older than anyone else so far, so I'd say that counts for a hell of a lot - and I'm pretty sure Stark knows it. I'm also sure he's heard all about how Frieren is, not just her whims. That would be high praise to me at least. |

| Haha, for some reason Fern's "I'm relieved, you're normal" made me laugh a lot. I guess if you're travelling with an elf with a 1000+ year lifespan, you'd think that... he's normal in a lot of ways - other than being freakishly strong I guess. It never ceases to amaze me how few viewers seem to care about background info and character development though - what with all the "boring" comments". It's been entertaining - if you want every episode to be a mediocre battle, there are tons of other anime out there for you... I love the good battles - but if there's no buildup, it seems mediocre even if they have decent animation, to me. Guess I'm not a savage. Also, Fern is way more wholesome than I really realized. Maybe it's because she doesn't say enough, though I guess I did expect her respect for her masters, and elders, wasn't a big motivation for her. I just like to see it, I guess. I think she's genuinely like the drunkard corrupt priest said - a good girl. Also I love the general theme at the end - the submissive and aloof former hero party member becomes the modern (assumably hero) party leader. That... happens in MMO's at least. Obvious influences here, but they're kind of wholesome. |

| The animation during Stark’s fight with the dragon was incredible, definitely the biggest standout action moment so far. Also, Fern’s “so small” while staring directly at Stark’s crotch was absolutely savage. Poor guy can’t catch a break. Also, getting through that checkpoint was way easier than I expected. Honestly, maybe they should just start dropping Frieren’s name everywhere they go. It seems to open doors pretty effectively. |
