I liked it, but when comparing it to the manga I prefer the manga. And when compared to the manga I prefer the novel. Not to say that the anime is bad, but there were a lot of things that were cut out that establishes personality and also insight on other characters other than Mia. I love princess Mia, but I liked the manga and the novel because it gave more insight to characters. It follows Mia a lot which is not bad and probably good to make the story more condensed for a 12 episode show. However, I loved the small bits. I suppose it's more of an issue with everyone making only 12 episodes series. It's definitely a show that deserved more to tell it's story which is unfortunate since it only got 12. The visuals were beautiful and the voice actress for Mia was perfect. The visuals were nice too, there were moments in which it kind of made it like a play which was very interesting and really suited the type of story that was being told. I loved the instance in which everything stilled and a spotlight was shown onto Mia so she can talk about her inner thoughts. It also allowed the narrator in the story to make sense since it was presented in a play-esk way. It was truly unique for those reasons. I may like the manga and the novel more, but everything the animation team, the directing, and story boarders did was wonderful. Again love the VA for my foolish princess Mia :3
