And still am roughly 4 hours since finishing episode.

I was very close to crying, but held it in. God I love this series, shame the manga series isn't finished.

I think at this point the only thing that makes me cry on demand is hearing Duet from Omori, that game traumatised me and I still feel it, 3 years down the line D:

Honestly I’m a big fan of the manga but I wasn’t even hoping for such an amazing adaptation. And yes, I did cry both in the manga and in the anime.

If Ufotable makes an anime remake of the Fate route and Tsukihime I can say that I lived a full life.

Didn't come close to doing so but doesn't mean it sucked by any means either. Did make me feel slightly bitter about the past regarding what happened with Christina Grimmie nearly 7 years ago now (time flies) but that's about it.

As far as I know, most of the events within Oshi no Ko are based on real incidents in the celeb world. I cant help but really admire Akasaka's writing style and the message he's trynna give from it.
Long history of singers being murdered by their fans, John Lennon getting shot probably the most famous example, but there have been a bunch more.  Happens in Japan from time to time even.

I had read the manga and thought I had prepared for that scene. Nope, it still got me. The animation, VA and music were just fantastic, it wouldn't have hit so hard if any of those weren't as good as they were.

So far this has been a true beautiful adaptation and hope this'll last till the last episode of this season.
I legit cried a lot mostly with Ai's final words towards Aqua and Ruby but i was alr tearing up the moment she got stabbed in her abdomen part.

Same here.  I was surprised, honestly; it was more moving than I expected, but they earned it.

Best first episode in the history of anime.  The last twenty minutes my mouth was wide open the entire time in disbelief at how excellent this was.  I read the manga and gave it a 10/10 and was STILL shocked at how good this was like I knew it'd be masterfully executed but I forgot to how extreme a degree.  What's even more absurd is the guy who's writing the weekly manga this is based off of was also writing / drawing another weekly manga Kaguya-sama.  The fact he can put out two masterpieces on a weekly basis and maintain such an absurd level of quality when the vast majority of mangaka can't even put out one consistently good manga monthly let alone weekly let alone two at the same time holy moly; the mangaka behind Oshi No Ko is truly genuinely a genius words cannot describe how impressed I am.  I 100% understand why this is ranked #1 right now and it sucks that all the Full Metal Alchemist losers are going to come brigade it to knock its rating down.

Dude the original material was already 10/10 and this anime somehow elevated it even further.  To be fair episode one was probably the strongest set of chapters in the manga but still I'm super excited to see how they adapt the material in the remaining episodes.

Wait this show is CRY-worthy??! I doubt it will make me cry since nothing really can move me to tears apart from episode 18 of clannad after story, but still has piqued my interest. I'll be back later to confirm whether or not I found it emotionally moving. I hope it will be.

edit: So didn't cry.... but that doesn't mean it didn't still hit like a truck.
