| This is the first time that i have seen an anime from this genre and I must say that I'm interested, It was portrait perfectly for the begin of the anime. Looks like we see an future and an present where the 2 are in an big building or some sort where they are safe from the monsters, on the other side we see 2 that are wandering the streets and surviving on their own, looking for food or a place to stay, they came across some goons that wanted to steal their stuff but goddamn the fight scenes were actually made nicely, how Maru destroyed the guys and how Kiruko shot her gun against a pole and that pole melted, yup they were scared. Maru & Kiruko are still wandering until they come across an inn, the lady there is actually friendly and we see some fanservice as well, the lady tells them that there's an monster lurking in the nights and that they can't go outside whatsoever if they wanna stay alive, Kiruko actually saying that she can destroy it with her gun but i guess the beast is immune against bullets, anyhow when the night is upon them Kiruko and Maru go to sleep while the woman is loading up her shotgun, ready to take on the beast, and yup the beast lands exactly in-front of her window and the cliffhanger drops there, man what an episode. Can't wait to see where this is going, I actually like Maru & Kiruko as characters and Tokio & Mimihime as well, although they are still in that big building inside the walls. |

| I'm bit late to the discussion but, is ti possible that Kiruko is a boy in girl body? The mirror scene and the fact that she clamimed to be a boy earlier gave me that impression. |

| Oh my, this looks potentially outstanding. The writing is really good, with nothing stupid or spelled-out about it, and it's visually really solid as well. |

| A science fiction post apocalyptic series that reminds me of The Promised Neverland and The Last of Us. Kiruko and Maru are on a journey to find this place called Heaven in what's left of Tokyo. Something tells me that Maru is not an ordinary boy the way he handled those bandits. Kiruko on the other hand is tough and is not sacred of anything. We get a glimpse of what life was like inside the walls which was very peaceful, but some of the kids are wondering what's beyond those walls. Only to find out that there are monsters beyond those walls that makes the world beyond the walls Hell on Earth. A solid effort from my favorite Studio Production I.G. |

| 1) Great 1st episode, was pretty much what I was hoping for 2) For some of the shit that goes on in this story, this seems a very odd pick up for D+. I really hope they don't go censoring the hell out of it. |
| I read the Heavenly Delusion manga a while ago and enjoyed it, so I'm glad to see such high-quality animation. Hopefully it continues being this beautiful for the entire cour. |

| this was nice. reminded me of last of us and had more than one similarity in various ways. the battery charging part was hilarious tho, girl well played. that old woman is so dead though. bad idea to mix sleeping pills in their food, they could have saved her. the ending song was nice. also i'm so pissed at myself for removing this from my bench list in FAL. i considered putting it but removed it :( |

| That was a bit random haha. In any case, why does he have so many scars on his body? We have a new series with a post-apocalyptic setting apparently caused by the appearance of some grotesque beings that eat humans. The first episode is very enigmatic and seems to present two plot lines, you are not clear what it is about and what happened. But the mystery keeps you there and the animation quality is what you expect from Production I.G. when it gets serious and that has brought us great works like: Haykyuu, Psycho-Pass, Moriarty the Patriot, Ginga Eiyuu, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Kimi ni Todoke, Guilty Crown, Youkoso e Ballroom, Ao Ashi and so on. |

| Typical apocalypse type of story, but the story plot, pacing, characters, visuals as well as the soundtrack are all very well executed, giving this series a very suspense atmosphere. Hope upcoming episodes can keep this up. If written nicely this can be another Bocchi level of dark horse of imo. |

| Whew. This one is smokin' hot. A fabulous first episode. That flying creature, what a whacky monster. I like the sci-fi/post-decline civilization setting. It's dangerous on the outside, man. Beautiful art, I'm loving the stills that folks have posted. Super cool composition and great landscapes. Lots of details - definitely need to rewatch and look forward to the rest of this 13-episode first season. A+ first episode. |
