Yama wasted a lot of stamina and MP showing off his bankai skills to the impostor. When the real Yhwach showed up Yama wanted to quickly finish him off because he was nearing his limit and couldn't fight for long. He still thought his bankai can't be stolen because the clone didn't do it. |

You can guess they're twins because they look the exact same, have very similar powers to copy others, they have the same surname and Sternritter schrift (Y The Yourself). |

It's the same as in crime stories where you have to lay hints so the viewer could figure it out along the way. I mean, you can't just create a character no one knows about and say afterwards: "yeah, this was his twin brother." That's what called an ass pull. |
