I love the world and the artistic designs, for some reason it gives me the same feeling as Dorohedoro or half-life 2 (I know weird comparison) and the introduction to the main character seems to lay a lot in little time however it still is laid well something I've found has become rare.

I see a lot of griping about the cgi. Didn't bother me in the least. I think some parts wouldn't have worked without it.

Overall fire OP and ed. Didn't scrimp on the violence and gore and it's already giving me a vibe about the world it's set in.

(Also why so many 1 post commentators here?)

Boring as fuck. Obviously another shitty anime these days.

Badly directed, low-impact and boring action scenes; Badly presented flashbacks, badly fitted into the scenes; Cliché as fuck. When I thought that the protagonist died and it was going to be the Devil that was going to take possession of his body, no, it was completely the opposite, the same cliché of thousands of works (only executed in an even worse way than usual).
The characters talking are a bore, it seems like everyone is sleepy and not in the mood to act (that shit didn't even work for the quiet little moments of the episode).

The protagonist is retarded to sell his organs, as he would earn more by killing devils. The author just did it to try to make people feel sorry for him, and he failed miserably.

And there are people who think it's bad when I say that today's anime is rubbish in large numbers.

So is Chainsaw Man the new teen fad?

God, i hate CRAPPA's CGI. Other than that it was ok. I also think the ED song fits the OP way better.

The art was amazing, the demons fantastic, the music kicked ass.
Even scenes of characters just walking was great.
Back to the demons though, the anime accomplished the feat of translating a manga horror element to anime without losing any of their eeriness.
The music and intro sequence kicked ass as well.
Standing ovation.

This met my expectations, which makes it an amazing first episode with great action. The additions to action sequences were great and they captured the emotional moments of the first chapter very well. Can't wait to see what Mappa has in store!

Its an amazing anime. Its animation is cool and the dialogues are also good. 1st episode covered the 1st chapter of manga and i think the second will cover next 2 or 3 chapter

thought some of the cg was kinda low-quality, but the majority of the animation and atmosphere was spot on. Sorta wish Denji had more monster like growls as Chainsaw Man

yes you are right if they have added more growls it would have felt more monster type

Art and animation was insane, great start fr and the cgi was fine yall smoking bruh. If only they focused a little bit more with the cgi rather than having the non fight scenes pretty asf.

And besides like even in the manga, denji's figure and movement isn't proportional, probably just a take by the author and the cgi is fitting very well for that

I think that this episode was good, but there were some flaws. For example, the overuse of CGI bugged me a little, but I am not a CGI hater. I actually think CGI is fine to save time, but the majority of the action was CGI and looked wonky. It was really off-putting when Denji looked like a paper cutout/video game character rather than an anime one. There was so much CGI, that it was rare to even see any action in 2D. That was one of my gripes, now on to the second, this first episode felt a bit mindless and kinda felt like MAPPA was like "Hey! Here's the budget of this episode, look how good it looks! Don't pay attention to the pacing or the CGI."
