What's a video game you would want to give an anime adaptation too or make it as an anime series ?

League of Legends. There are tons of characters that have exciting lore. Runeterra has a great structure already so world-building will be insane. The sky is the limit.

Some other games would be Hollow Knight, Hades, God of War

since Alice In Wonderland is very much a familiar inspiration in anime already, it'd be interesting to see an iteration of a more dark, psychological horror and gothic version of it. anime can surely bring justice to the beautiful environment designs and costumes of the game, provided it's produced by the right studio.

Parasite Eve too clould bring a great anime. The first game on Playstion was stunning, a great mix of RPG and Survival Horror.

The story was engaging, New York was a great place and the heroine Aya Brea was really interesting.

The support cast too from NYPD, Dr. Kunihiko Maeda and of course the main nemesis Eve and her army of Mitochondria monsters.

Another game from my childhood, Ninja Prophecy. I'd LOVE to see it adapted.

everyone who answered anything other than a JRPG is wrong. Imagine wanting to see an adaptation of some dumb first person shooter.

I wouldn't want to see an anime based on a shooter either. But do you really think JRPGs are the only video games that ever put effort into their stories? Unless you define every game with a story as a JRPG, that seems an impossibly huge stretch.

Yeah ok I'll give you that... even though it's difficult for me to think of non-jrpgs with an actually good story. But the question was not what games have a good story. The question is what games would make a good anime.

JRPGs are such a fertile ground. The story structure and characterization fit anime like a glove. So many absolute classic tales that most people will never get to experience. It would be a shame to waste all that potential and instead make a fighting game adaptation that will turn out to be just another battle shounen.

Is that what this is? I haven't watched it, but I imagine Tekken's colorful cast should be a good fit for anime.

Looks like fanservice (of the non-lewd variety) for Tekken tards. Nobody else will likely find much entertainment value in it.

Maybe the first Zero Escape or first AI: The Somnium Files games. Obviously, with both games, you'd have to ditch the branching paths aspect of them. But off the top of my head, I don't remember the other endings bringing anything really crucial to the tale... Just sticking to the true endings gives you a good story that I think could succeed in another medium.

World's End Club is by the same writer and can be adapted far more easily.

An anime seires with the original professor layton characters would be so good, they managed to make the puzzles make sense in the movie afterall. I don't think it would be a masterpiece like the games but it would be really interesting.

Dragalia Lost had a really good story too, it was one of the only mobile games that genuinely got me invested in the story I think it would be fun as an anime. I guess the thing with any gacha series though is that you just can't let most characters shine- and in DL's case the side characters are one of the best parts, everyone is likeable

From my experience. Video games adaptated into anime is usually not that great unless you have an incredible studio behind it, in the case of the Fate series adapting the VNs. The same goes for the reverse. Anime adaptated into video games usually makes for a bad game too.

There's an exception for some video games to anime but it's mainly some VNs like the fate franchise and steins; Gate. Video games has so much more detail and depth to it, so if you're going to consume a visual animated medium for a story, you're better off going with the source being the video game.

Just tell me what game you would think would fit as a good anime adaptation or..... what game you think would fit as a series on it's own story and doing something differently from its game

Thinking outside the box.... Cities: Skylines

I'm sure most of you reading this thread are thinking WTF are you thinking dude, that's lame as hell.
Hear me out.

It could be a SOL anime, a comedy, or even a horror story, it just depends on how the Director wants it to go.

Everyone is going about their business as strange, random things happen.
(Imagine the viewpoint of being the cim in a city as the game is being played.. either by a sadistic player, or benevolent)

- A whole neighborhood disappears and a new highway interchange is suddenly there. No construction crews to be seen anywhere.
- Land/Water borders suddenly change shape with no storm or earthquake.
- Trees suddenly pop up from out of nowhere.
- Roads, railroad tracks, tram tracks and foot paths appear/disappear/change location/change type with people on them.

These are just some of the unexplained things happening to the world around our main characters, with all sorts of odd theories as to why they happen.

It could be left open-ended with none of them knowing why their world is so unstable... maybe they learn they're just in a simulation.
There's many directions this story could go, and different outcomes.

As I said at the start.. just thinking outside the box.
You're never too old to watch anime.
If I ever stop watching anime, check my pulse I'm likely dead.

I wake up with coffee & anime, I go to sleep with coffee & anime.

Sorry if my sarcasm is bad, it's not my first language.
