I think tanjiro and zenitsu are too extreme in their personality. Zenitsu is too awful and tanjiro is too nice. it almost feels like tanjiro is acting.. I didn't feel for the demons at all and felt like there was no real depth or genuinity and like the sad back stories were thrown in without making them believable enough. Thought the demons were way too edgy and idk "evil" i guess.. Whole show is missing genuine emotion! however I liked inosuke he was funny in how over the top he was and I thought nezuko was adorable. the drip was also clean. idk.. fun show but just to me kind of forgettable and disingenuous. I still respect you if you enjoy the show and my opinion is just my opinion.

I don't think people say you can't make simple stories. It's not about making it complicated its about having depth. like some.. i guess not "realism" but a feeling of relatability to the story and characters. is relatability a word help me

Edit: also I'm aware you can relate to very extreme characters like zenitsu but I mean like a deeper connection like the character feels like a real person. and people want something new thats why its complained about when something is unorignal and doesn't have that depth.

I watched this anime when it was airing and I dropped it and 2 months later the score was going up like crazy. I was thinking maybe I made a mistake and I regret watching this show again. Boring and annoying anime. I also asked someone who finished it and asked if it was good when I drop it and that person told it was good I regret asking that question.

So far, it's okay but I've only seen season 1 and the movie. The animation is amazing but the plot is okay for now. I think this will change with season 2.

The characters are okay too. I feel like Bleach (kinda reminds me of it in someway) had way better character designs and personalities that were memorable. Maybe that's just me.

I know bleach is coming back and I feel like that may eclipse it.

Average as it best. Bland story, flat characters (I dunno why many people cried about Rengoku's death but they didn't show more of his character nor character development), but good animation and sounds though. 4/10

perfect show for Ufotable to work its magic on. if it weren't for Ufotable I think more people would recognize how weak the series is under the hood. I wouldn't call it bad so much as uninspired, kind of obligatory. It's very safe in story and characters, offering nothing we haven't seen before, no real surprising twists, and shounen formula straight down the line. and mediocre comedy!

I don't even think it's controversial to say all this, outside of with the crowd of people that give everything they watch a 9 or 10. I've watched videos claiming it does in fact have deep themes and such, and I don't buy it. it's as far from deep as the genre gets!

I do like the show, do not get me wrong, but i do feel like it is kind of overrated. There are defintiey better options to go on to watch, but overall at least i can pass time...

Like many appointed here (in favor or not of the show), it's just tainted fight scenes, great visual and sound effects that compesate an escapist narrative full of clichés and emotional hooks with a forced motivational protagonist wich is sweet as annoying sometimes...

I finished season 1 last year in December and felt a little awkward around friends when it came to discussing it. It was okay but it wasn't that interesting to me. Visually stunning but not much else.
