| Awesome! This is getting better and better by the episode. That wormlike Gaichuu looked really good as well and the fight was great. I'm loving all the characters so far, especially Niche. She's too cute! |

| Zazie's a badass, and Aria is so sexy and hot. They took few scenes out in anime, but the anime follow the manga faithfully, at least. I started the manga few months ago, so I knew what happened to Gauche. I can't wait for the next episode and cute Sylvette. |

| That was awfully conventional. The (relative) lack of focus on superpowers and battles set this apart from most shonen shows but this might as well have been an episode from one of the million series about hunting monsters. The twist, as it were, would have made more sense if the failed applicant simply lost the letter and created a fake one with generic stuff a kid might write. That would show a serious lack of respect for sender and receiver and make more sense than this weird thing about replacing the letter because it got dirty and him having oddly intense feelings that the letter was dumb. Also, didn't the first episode imply that firing shindan had a negative effect on the person who fired it? Should Lag be shooting off all the time like this? |

I agree in that the exam was all too familiar, but I think the point was to show that Team Lag can kick ass in a battle together. I was also disappointed in the way Macky, the other applicant, was handled. I expected something more creative than the usual "the opponent is a jerk therefore he loses". Hell, if Zazie had just shown up to tell the old lady that it was thanks to Lag that Macky was able to get through the course alive, let alone deliver the letter, and then proceed to disqualify Macky, I would have been happy. Sometimes less is more. Fronzel said: didn't the first episode imply that firing shindan had a negative effect on the person who fired it? Should Lag be shooting off all the time like this? I imagine it's something akin to an ability using up stamina or mana in a video game, and basically the bees can recover their energy with a good night's sleep. But it could turn out that it indeed has more serious long-term consequences, like alcohol. |
| Finally I'm watching series where every episode passes so quickly that I can't notice it- because every episode filled with something moving and gripping- can't be happier! |
