amazing how its able to transition the SoL to the more serious shit. well done. kyouko one crazy ass mf but ig it happens with her circumstances and her personality
I knew this interaction with kyouka and rei is gonna happen the way they showed kyouka in rei's memory i just knew it and it's exactly as i invisioned for some reason i really dig this kind of interaction so i don't really hate kyouka even though she's awful
from some reason, though kyoko is "bad", she has some interesting aura around her, and the dialogues caught it fine: "as she left, there was a moment where the sun illuminated here hair". this actually wants me to see more of here.
seems that this guy sees was seeing was the one throwing rei on the floor, where akari found him.
the way this episode portrayed, started with nukaidou sleep over in rei's house, but ending with kyoko sleeping there, gonna have point in this thunder arc.
It seems that Kyouko is another wound of the past for Rei, that flashback makes his character feel even more depressing and misfortunate, his adoptive father really treated him well but not everyone in that family did overall
Gaslighting aside, you can’t really help but pity her. Even if he did not do it wittingly, all of her dad’s love and attention were re-directed during Rei her entire upbringing, so it’s not too much of a surprise if she still harbours a grudge against him. However, I still believe there are many pieces missing from the puzzle so I don’t want to jump to any conclusions just yet
I kinda got a whiplash seeing the drastic tonal shift from the first half and the second half of the episode. First half was super cozy with Nikaidou being a good friend like always, and then the second half just kinda slaps me with Kyouko's return. The colors went from vibrant to pretty dull, idk I fw that tonal shift.
Kyouko is such a dickwad lmfao, left the apartment with "oh yea btw that old man is gonna get demoted if you win, womp womp". Glad she didnt do anything worse though, well she did grow up and all so. Also im not an expert on relationships but i dont think gotou and kyouko are healthy for each other, but thats just me personally.
I think they used such a nice way to explain Shogi, it feels like I know a lot more about it now
I do have to say that I think Kyouko is so mean, definitely makes it hard to like her. I don't like how she treats Rei at all
