Tae Kwon Do is cheaper generally at universities, hence why I decided to do it there. But yeah, there is a pretty steep paywall unfortunately.

I've considered about doing bike riding again. That' ssomething I have not done in a long time and could be worth doing.

Are there a lot of bike paths and stuff where you live? That's a downfall for me personally. I kind of live in the middle of nowhere, and can really only go for bike rides down gravel roads. But it's still relaxing.

One thing you could consider getting into as well would be kayaking. I know it sounds random, but it's actually a lot of fun! Unless you have a fear of water and that sort lol

Ooo, the mountains. The closest I've been to that was the Black Hills in South Dakota, but those really aren't mountains. Still quite exhilarating since i live on like the prairie and everything is flat.

I've actually never kayaked on a river! I typically go to lakes. 3 years ago i kayaked at the Mississippi headwaters with my Uncle, but iirc that was a lake, since we didn't actually go on the river.

I live on the east side of South Dakota, so basically nothing but corn fields. But, the west side of the state is very pretty, and definitely recommended coming back sometime in your life. I know i need to revisit it, since we didn't do much when i was out there.

Oh okay, that makes sense. Dang, it really sounds like you've got a lot on your schedule. Makes me feel like i've taken all this free time i have for granted.

I think that's where I was there. D'you think that once you get around, you'd move somewhere out of state, or do you like SD okay?

Yeah, it's refreshing after living in 4 months in Russia.

I kind of have my eyes set on Penn State University. Always been a fan sport wise, and they also suit my academic needs. It's also really close to New York City. I have made plans with a friend to meet him there in 5 years, so going to Uni there would honestly make it cheaper on my end.

What was it like in Russia?

Never been to NYC, I'd like to go there. Hope you can go to Penn State tho, maybe get a good scholarship?

That's a very complicated question, but I guess to start: it has some great public transport and historical stuff, but the alcoholism + political situation is shitty :/

I might be able to. I kind of made a lot of mistakes my Freshman year though, and it's reflecting on my GPA. Although, I have a 3.68 GPA currently, so I do have a high enough GPA to get into Penn State, just not so sure about scholarships.
The acceptance rate is 50.3% so maybe.
I also haven't taken my ACTs yet.

I always hear bad things about Russia, but I never know what to believe. Growing up in a very conservative area, I never hear anything good out of Russia from the people around me. But, my views differ so much from theirs. I'd like to visit Russia someday, but it's not very high on my priority list of places to go tbh

3.68 isn't that bad. ACTs can be pretty tough though, although if you don't do well your first time no need to fret. It's pretty common for people to get a good ACT score on their third/second try, so while it's good to study hard and well, just know that there's a safety net in case ya don't.

It's a nice place to visit, but not to live. Doesn't really help that getting a visa is very long. I'd say if you do want to go, a student visa is a pretty quick way to get one.

Oh yeah, I'll study my butt off, but I'm thankful i have more than one chance. I need at least like a 28. Anything below that is considered below average, and my chances for admission go out the window.
And then the SATs ahhhh, why is all this so scary >.<

I see. I know i really wanna take that cross country train ride they have in Russia, and also see Lake Baikal

I haven't really been on the trans-siberian rail, although I've been on some trains to Moscow. They're not bad, but they're also not great either.

28 is pretty high,but you can do it. Just remember to bring a calculator for the math portions tho-On my second attempt, I had sadly left mine back at home. I still did a 28 on it, so that's nice.
