The blanket butterfly flew to the other mirror stolen shop. She views past magic as foolish, but modern magic as logical. Something cannot be born of nothing. For every wish granted something equivalent must be taken away. The object has been given freedom. No owner truly controls it. Her thesis is too conventional. It’s not dangerous for her she claims. The monkeys paw holds and puppets its owner. It’s beginning. Her subconscious wish counted. The monkeys paw chokes her. She gets disappeared by her own desire. People are always more likely to do something once it’s been forbidden. And after they cross that line, there’s no telling what else they may be capable of doing to get what they want. A person’s true wish may reveal more about themselves than they may like. 4 |
